As Jake and I sat there in the kitchen, locked in our silent standoff while I licked yoghurt off of my body, the door suddenly swung open. Laura appeared, looking freshly awake and a bit confused.
Jake's eyes widened in shock, and he stumbled back, trying to explain. He immediately jumped to his feet and started panicking "Laura! It's… it's not what it looks like!" He let out, and for a minute there, I wanted to burst into laughter but I had to resist myself.
Laura raised an eyebrow, clearly bewildered. "What do you mean, Jake? What does it look like?" She asked innocently.
"Yes, Jake. What does it look like?" I quizzed and stepped beside him, a small smirk playing on my lips as I pretended to be surprised by his reaction. Jake looked at me, his face morphing from panic to surprise. His eyes flickered down to my robe, clearly thrown off because he hadn't noticed me grab it from under the counter at the last second.
