As I stepped out of Jake's office, a wave of pure joy washed over me. I couldn't stop smiling, thinking about him, and everything we had planned, and especially the sweet love we just made. It was intoxicating and wild, and I could hardly believe it I was the one who initiated it.
I planned on getting some things at the grocery store so I got in my car and was on my way when, my phone buzzed. It was Chloe, calling to ask if I wanted to join her for lunch.
"Chloe! Hi! What's up?" I let out
"Laura!" She replied, putting on her usual friendly tone. "I was just thinking, would you be up for lunch today? I had some wedding ideas I thought we could discuss. You know, just to make sure everything's perfect for you and Jake." She said, sounding eager and upbeat.
I gave a delighted laugh. "Oh, that sounds amazing! Where should we meet?" I quizzed.
