I sat up on my bed, my head was spinning, my vision was blurry. Everything felt so new, was this what a hangover was like? I got up from my bed and noticed that I was wearing a sundress, what happened again? Oh yeah that's right I... Yeahhhhh lets not think about that.
I changed into a t-shirt and jeans and walked down the road until I made it to the coffee shop I worked at, hm? Is that... Liam and Sally? I thought to myself as I squinted through the window as the sun blared into my eyes, it was! I walked around to the door and walked in, I decided to order some coffee while I was here to help me sober up.
After I ordered my coffee and got it I walked up to where Sally and Liam were standing. "Hey guys! What'd I miss?" They both looked up at me like I had interrupted something important. "Oh hey girlie! Come over here and sit down!" Sally was in a pretty good mood though as usual, I slide into a seat beside her and looked across the table at Liam.
"So, what's the latest tea?" I asked shifting my gaze towards Sally, she smiled and stared talking. "Ok so like you remember Stacy from math class last year right? I heard she got pregnant, and she's not even married! Would you believe it? Oh and the father left, like seriously? But she's still going strong, I also heard she has a new boyfriend and their getting married in like 2 weeks. Crazy right? But we're invited! You wanna go with me?" As Sally finished loading me down with all the new tea she had, I thought about my schedule and how it always changes, and I came up with an answer.
"I'll go if I have the time." I replied and Sally smiled and looked over to Liam. "You know, Ash here could really use a date to the wedding." WHAT?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? NO SALLY!!!! "Oh really? I'll check my schedule" NO LIAM WHY DID YOU EVEN RESPOND?! "Great then." Sally responded. "You don't have a date now do you Sally?" Sally avoided that and changed the subject.
Soon enough we all left the coffee shop and went on our separate ways, but Liam seemed to be following me. "Why are you following me exactly?" I asked turning around to look at him. "I just wanted to discuss some things with you, would you mind if we went to my house for it though? I can drive you there." Wait a minute, did Liam just invite me over? I felt my face heating up, and all I could muster in response was a sheepish nod.
Once we made it to his car and hopped in it was around a 10 minutes drive to his house, we went a fair bit out of the city and into a more wooded area, soon we arrived at a massive mansion. The shrubs and garden were all taken care of perfectly and it was so pretty, once we walked inside I took a brief look around and I heard Liam calling someone over. "Madison! I'm homeeeee." I heard the pitter patter of small feet coming towards us.
"Welcome home Liam! Have you been out drinking again? I swear I smell alcohol on you." This girl... was this his girlfriend? She looked to be around 19-20, her long blonde hair was down to her waist. She was wearing a black and white patterned dress, Liam turned towards me and opened his mouth. "Sorry for not saying anything earlier, this is my sister, Madison."
Ohhhhhhhh that makes sense I suppose, Madison look at me and smiled. "Are you Liam's girlfriend? Wait did he stay the night at your house last night?" Madison took a breath and gasped. "One night stand?" Liam shifted his gaze back towards her. "None of that happened, now kindly make your way back to your room. I have some business to discuss with Ashley."
Madison huffed and sprinted into her room down the hall, Liam ushered me to his room. "Madison wont bother us in here." He said sitting down on his bed, he patted the bed beside him. When I sat down the bed was so incredibly soft, it was unbelievable! As I was absorbed into the softness of his bed, Liam spoke up. "So I've been wondering, how long have you been as assassin for?" The question sorta caught me off guard. "Since middle school, how long have you been an spy for?" Liam laid back a bit with his arms holding him up. "Since graduation, but why did you choose to be a assassin like there are other jobs out there, so why this one? Wouldn't you want something more dainty and fit for someone like you."
I gulped hard, I didn't exactly want to tell him why. It wasn't a topic I wanted to open at the moment. "Lets just say, it wasn't always my first choice." Liam nodded. "Well, I became a spy because the pay was good, and well after my parents passed away... I wanted to make a good living to help my sister get good education." His reason was quite humble. It seemed like the more I knew about him not only the hotter he got but the less stuck up he seemed.
Before either of us had time to keep talking I heard a knock on the door. "Hey Liam, I know your busy with your girlfriend and all, But I think someone is in the house..." Fear was evident in her words, Liam got up and left the room. "Stay here ok?" He told me before closing the door.
I received a call on my phone, I picked it up and it was my boss from my assassination job. "New mission, kill the invader in Liam's home." How did he know I was at Liam's house? None the less the phone hung up and I arose to complete the job, luckily I had my knife with me. I left Liam's room and heard a big CLANG coming from another room, I hurried there and found Liam and Madison and there in front of them was...!
Hell no, I can not do this today. No way the intruder is the reason I became a assassin! "Oh hello there, Ash~" His words rang in the air, I did not want to have to deal with Jacob today. "I figured I could find you here! Wanna dance?" The hell was he talking about? "Lets dance your blood onto the floor." I said smirking, Liam and Madison looked at me. SHOOT, WHAT IF MADISON DOESN'T KNOW ABOUT OUR JOBS! I'm so cooked!!!! Madison smiled though. "Go Assassin go!" I guess she knew.
"I'd like to see you try~ Read set... dance with me~" Jacob went silent and knifes flew through the air, I deflected his attacks making sure not to damage Liam's house. I swirled in knife in hand straight up to Jacob, he flipped backwards. His moves flowing seamlessly, he put out his hand towards me. "C'mon, just one dance." he said as I grabbed his hand. "Just one." Jacob was my first ever dance partner, but above all my kidnapper.
I still needed to kill him, but I couldn't bring myself to raise my knife to him again. It was like there was some sort of pain and struggle from the past, a torment keeping me under his finger even still. He let me go with a bow to the audience of Liam and Madison. "Bravo!" Madison said clapping, Liam was still dumb founded. Although it still felt like defying Jacob would be the end of me, but I still needed to 🅺🅸🅻🅻 🅷🅸🅼...
"Lets all sit down for some tea and catch up." Liam suggested still unsure of the current situation, Jacob smiled and nodded. We all headed into Liam's giant dining room, Madison went to the kitchen to get us some tea. Liam rested his head on his hands and glared across the table at Jacob. "So, tell me about yourself." Liam said as Jacob smiled. "Lets see, I kidnapped my dear Ash here a long time ago~ there really isn't much to tell though." Liam's eyes narrowed. "Oh really now? What did you kidnap her for?" Liam looked as if he was about to throw a chair in Jacob's direction. "Oh you know, something to take my anger out on. I trained her too, even snagged her a well paying job as a assassin." As he finished talking I mumbled. "A forced job."
Liam balled his hands into fists, did he actually care about me? Liam's eye twitched slightly as he stood up from his chair, a smirk spread across Liam's face. "On a scale of one to ten how valuable is your life to you?" Jacob also stood up from his chair. "Zero." Jacob replied as Liam walked around the table. "Good." Liam pounced at Jacob, but Jacob grabbed me up and used me as a shield. Good thing I was resilient because that hurt, the impact of Liam's pounce hit me like a freight train. He wasn't even a very heavy person either, I stumbled back into Jacob and we all fell over together.
Liam jumped off of me as fast as possible, Jacob shoved me away from him like I was a bag of dirt rather then a person. It felt like the weight of not being able to kill him was removed, Liam stormed out of the room towards the kitchen. I grabbed my knife and attempted to stab Jacob but he got out of the way too fast, Liam came back into the room. His composure from before was gone, I could smell the scent of alcohol on him. Wait, was he drunk?
His movements were sloppy, he stood still for a second and smiled the most devilish smile I've ever seen. Jacob lunged for Liam leaving me behind, Liam jumped and flipped over Jacobs head grabbing the back of his shirt and flipping him onto the ground. Ouch, that had to hurt. It was almost as if Liam's skills and strength was stronger while he was drunk, but his moves were still sloppy.
Soon I saw my opening, I lunged forward stabbing my knife into Jacobs stomach. Blood was spilling everywhere, I loved the bloody scene but cleaning this up would be a pain. I pulled out my knife and cut both his wrists Jacobs looked at me and choked up blood, he sputtered out a few words before he died. "I always loved you Ash, sorry for hurting you it was a mista-" His words cut short by his death, he toppled over on the floor. Now that I think about it, Jacob was actually kind of hot. His blonde hair was now bleached with the red blood and his face tattered, still his green eyes shown after he was dead.
We took Jacob outside and paid our tributes to the dead, I cleaned up all the blood that was on Liam's house's floor not leaving a single drop on the ground anymore, I spent the rest of my time with Liam and Madison at Liam's house. I had to go home, although when Liam offered to drive me home I declined.
As I walked home it felt like someone was watching me, I heard footsteps behind me running towards me. I tried to turn around quickly but I couldn't do it fast enough and I felt a cloth go over my mouth and nose, my vision started going blurry this was worse then being drunk. I soon blacked out...
