Teacher: "Yes, I'd like to know what Dakota did. But before that, there's something I need to tell you, children."
Lucas: "What is it, Teacher?"
Teacher: "Remember the loud noise from earlier? That noise was caused by that organization."
Dakota: "Wait, when you say that organization… do you mean them? The most dangerous organization in all of history?"
Teacher: "Yes, it was the Blazers Organization."
Dakota: "Ah, so it was them, huh? The most dangerous organization I created in my novel."
The Blazers Organization was indeed the most dangerous and powerful group. Led by Blazer, the strongest devil in history, they struck fear into the hearts of everyone. Blazer was so powerful that he was known as the King of the Red Flames, a nickname given to him because of his mastery over red flames—the most powerful flames known, and perhaps the most powerful force in existence.
Blazer's reputation was unrivaled, but there was another organization that was nearly as feared: the Fiamma Organization, led by a powerful leader with a similar nickname, the Queen of Red Flames. Her power was nearly equal to Blazer's, and they both wielded the same red flames, though her strength was only slightly less than his.
Dakota: Why would the Blazers Organization attack the children's academy? What possible reason could they have? So far, I don't know. But maybe I'll find out in the future.
Dakota: "Teacher, do you know why they attacked us?"
Teacher: "No, I don't know the exact reason. But we did manage to stop their attack and defeat them."
Dakota: "Oh, that's good."
Teacher: "Yes, it is. But now, class, would you tell me what Dakota did? I'm really curious."
Class: "Okay, we'll tell you, Teacher!"
The class begins to explain to the teacher how I managed to defeat Andy and save them, describing the tense moments of our battle and how I held my ground. As they recount the events, I can see the surprise and admiration on the teacher's face.
Teacher: "Wow, that's incredible, Dakota. I didn't know you were that strong."
Dakota: "Thank you, Teacher."
Teacher: "You're welcome. Well, since somebody decided to attack us, the rest of the classes are canceled for the day. You can all go home now, and the academy will be on a one-month break. I hope you enjoy it!"
Class: "Whoa! A one-month break already? This is awesome! I'm definitely going to enjoy this!"
Teacher: "Alright, goodbye, class!"
Class: "Goodbye, Teacher!"
All the students begin leaving the academy, but my friends and I stay behind for a few moments to talk.
Lucas: "So, what are you guys going to do during the break?"
Liam: "Well, I'm definitely going to train so I can awaken my magic."
Ava and Mia: "Us too!"
Lucas: "So, we all want to train to awaken our magic… so we can be as strong as Dakota!"
Dakota: I can't help but smile at this. "Hm, so you all want to be as strong as me? Then you'd better train really hard."
They all laugh, and the three of them say in unison, "Yes, we will!"
After we finish talking, I head home. When I arrive, my mother and father rush toward me with worried expressions and pull me into a tight hug.
Dakota: "Mother, Father! What's wrong? Why do you look so worried?"
Mother: "Because we saw on the news that the Blazers Organization attacked your academy. We were so worried that something bad might have happened to you."
Dakota: "Don't worry, Mother. Nothing happened to me. Actually, I ended up beating someone up."
Father: "Wait, you beat someone up?"
Dakota: "Yes, Father. The person I fought was named Andy."
Mother: "Wait, when you say Andy… do you mean Andy the Child Genius?"
Dakota: "Yes, that's him."
Father: "Ha! What did I tell you, honey? Our child is the true genius!"
Mother: laughing softly "I guess he really is, then, huh?"
Dakota: "Of course I'm a genius, Mother. Dad has been training me ever since I was three years old!"
Mother: "That's true; your father did train you well. But I'm really proud of you, son, for saving your classmates."
Dakota: "Well, Mother, of course I was going to save them. You raised me to protect others, after all."
Mother: smiling "I know, but you're dirty from the fight. Go take a bath, and then come down to eat dinner."
Dakota: "Okay!"
I head upstairs, go into the bathroom, and turn on the shower. As I wash off the dirt from the day's events, I think back over everything that's happened.
What a crazy day. First, my academy was attacked by the most dangerous organization in history. Then, I fought another child genius like me—and won.
As I think back on it, I realize that the start of my time at this academy isn't all that different from when I first entered school back in my old world. The only real difference is that here, we have magic.
Dakota: "So far, my life in this new world is going well. And I have plans in place for the future, too. Still, I know I'll have to face a lot of trouble in the days ahead."
I look down at my hands, feeling a mix of excitement and determination.
Dakota: "But no matter what kind of trouble lies ahead, I'll overcome it. Just like I did in my previous life."
After finishing my bath, I dry off and head downstairs to join my family for dinner.
---
One month goes by quickly, and soon it's time to go back to the academy. I feel a mixture of excitement and determination as I leave the house.
Dakota: "Mother, Father, I'm leaving now!"
Mother: "Alright, Dakota. Be safe!"
Dakota: "I will!"
I run toward the academy, a sense of eagerness filling me. When I finally arrive, I spot my friends waiting by the entrance.
Dakota: "Oh, hey, guys!"
Lucas: "Oh, hey, Dakota! You're here!"
Dakota: "Yep. So, why do you all look so happy?"
Ava: "That's because we all awakened our magic!"
Dakota: stunned "What?! Really? You guys did?"
Mia: "Yep, we did!"
Dakota: "Wow! So we can finally train together!"
Liam: "That's right! In fact, why don't we start right now?"
Dakota: "Huh? But isn't there only five minutes left until the bell rings?"
Liam: "So what? Come on, Dakota, fight me one-on-one right here, right now!"
Dakota: grinning "You know what? Fine, let's do this."
I square up with Liam, who's practically bouncing with excitement. Our friends gather around, eager to watch our impromptu match.
The two of us stand face to face, and I can feel the energy radiating from him. Over the break, Liam must have trained hard to gain this new power. I can tell he's ready to show it off.
Dakota: "Alright, Liam. Let's see what you've got!"
He grins and clenches his fists, the faint shimmer of magical energy forming around him. We lock eyes, both of us ready to start.
