Chapter 3 - Guests That Can Free Us From This Curse

Removing his finger from the child's neck, Aibeck fell back a little bit. He hadn't done this in a while, and just like he remembered, it takes a lot of magical energy to make sure that the process doesn't go wrong, or else the child might have died.

The moment the finger was removed from his neck, the child fell to the ground limply and weak, blood was trickling from the hole that Aibeck had created due to the fact that he pierced deep into the child's neck.

" Let's go, we won't be able to find a place to stay in this kingdom unless the king let's us in his palace," Aibeck said, as he turned around about to leave without even sparing a glance at the child on the ground.

Elidi had an angered exppression on his face, and the moment Aibeck said they should go, the anger grew. " We should go? You want to leave such a young man like this alone on the streets?! Bleeding?!" Elidi said in an outburst of rage.

Aibeck just stared at him calmly. This isn't the first time he had seen Elidi being mad at him. But this time it's for a human. Why would he care about humans?

" What are you talking about Elidi? A few guard's would surely pass by here a few more times, so one of them would be able to see that there is an injured child in the middle of the road, it's not like they're going to leave him there. Besides, he's in a better shape now" Aibeck had a dismissive look on his face, as he stared at the unconscious body of the child.

The child looked a bit fat, but because of what Aibeck did, a lot of his fat had already gone due to the fact that Aibeck was sending a few strands of magical energy into the boy's body so as to send a message to the brain and make it show him the child's memories.

" In a better shape is described as bleeding to death. Aibeck, if I fix this then we are not going to have a good time next to each other for a while," Elidi said with an angered voice, as he bent down and placed his hand above the child's pierced neck.

He then suddenly sent a strand of golden energy into the child's body, which immediately sped up the healing process of a regular human being by a hundred folds.

" Great! You fixed him, now let's go," Aibeck then turned around and vanished the moment he put his cloak back on.

Elidi stared at the spot where Aibeck vanished," Oh god, I hope what we're doing isn't the wrong thing, because it seems my brother has begun to change," Elidi then sent another strand of magical energy into the child's body, so as to wake him up after about two minutes of Elidi's departure.

Elidi then sighed, as he got up and put his cloak back on, then he sped up at insane speed. Destination, the palace. Aibeck isn't really the type to leave the whole Kingdom just because of the king is unwelcoming.

.....

At the palace in Velhihem, the king was in the throne room with his eyes closed, while the chiefs waited in anticipation for the news their king is about to tell them.

After about five minutes, the king's lips curled into a smile as he opened his eyes.

His facial features wasn't much of an importance to talk about, but his eyes. His eyes were a whole lot different.

His eyes were golden in colour, it shone like that of a blazing sun that could easily burn through every secret of the universe.

Those eyes belong to king Amon, the one who led the revolt against the evil witch, and the one who could see the future.

He stared at the rows of the chiefs that are waiting in anticipation for his response, and with a smile, he stood up.

As he got up, every other Chief got up from their seats.

" My chieftains, be ready for new guests are to be arriving and we must make haste and prepare for their arrival," King Amon said with a hasty voice.

The chiefs stared at each other one by one till their eyes locked with another chief. The chief nodded, as if knowing what the other wanted. He then stared back at the king and asked a question.

" My king, what kind of guest would we be receiving?" The chief asked in a questioning manner.

The king smile and stared at his twelve chiefs.

" Guests that can free us from this curse,"

...

Wooosh!

At the entrance of the palace, the wind began to blow more than normal, making the guard's at the entrance of the palace gate shiver a bit.

Snap~

The sound of someone's feet landing on the many dry leaves that litter the ground was heard. One of the guards decided to go and check it out, so he cautiously walked towards the direction of the sound.

As he arrives, he says that he is a guard for the king, and if anyone is there, they should reveal themselves, but no one answered, there was just complete silence.

Snap~

The sound was heard again, and this time, the guard seemed frightened, the spear he was pointing in the direction of the sound was shaking violently in his hands.

" Boo!"

Aibeck suddenly came out of the nearby Bush and scared the guard, who immediately screamed in alarm.

As he looked at Aibeck, all he could see was a hooded man with a face of bottomless darkness.

" W- wh- who are you?" The guard said with a shaky body that would make anyone who could see that laugh out loud.

" I am Aibeck. The Primordial of darkness. And you are taking me to have audience with the king," Aibeck said with a mischievous smile under that cloak of darkness.

" I am taking you to have audience with the king,"

As those words entered the guard's ears, he suddenly fell into some kind of trance like state.

Then he suddenly turned around and beckoned for Aibeck to follow him.

As Aibeck was about to follow him, Elidi suddenly arrived.
