Chapter 5 - The King's Eyes.

The door wasn't golden and beautiful in their eyes, what they saw was completely different. They saw a door covered in curses!

At the center of the door was the head of a beautiful woman with green hair and red eyes. The woman kept on chanting inaudible words that would materialize and fly onto other parts of the door, then they would slowly disappear.

Those words were curses, and the moment they dissapeared, they would have already targeted another person and once that person had accumulated enough curses in their body, the curse would take it's effect and kill the victim.

The victims soul would then be pulled towards the door by the curses that cover it, and be eaten by the woman's head.

This was the place where the curse is concentrated, this is the root of Velhihem's suffering. A door which they themselves admire, is what is truly killing them. What a sad outcome.

The head suddenly spotted Elidi and Milo, and it immediately tried to send a curse towards them, but Elidi just waved his hands at the curse that was heading towards them, and the curse immediately dissipated.

The woman's head suddenly screeched out loud, and sent tens of more curses at them, but the same thing happened again, Elidi just waved his hand at them, and they all disappeared.

Seeing that it's attack weren't going to be able to phase the two that were currently staring at it with a look of disgust, the head decided to ignore them and continue what it was doing, almost as if it was being programed, just like a computer.

The door suddenly opened and the guard walked outside," The king has accepted your request to see him, you may now go in," Immediately after passing the message, the guard turned around and began walking back to his post.

Elidi and Aibeck stared at each other then Aibeck immediately put on a displeased look," Do I really have to do that?"

" Yes,"

" Sigh! Ok. Zaiju!" Aibeck spoke a spell, and Immediately, Andrew fell to the ground.

The spell Aibeck casted on him, would ware off in a few minutes, due to the ware off spell that Aibeck just said.

" Now, let's go and see the king of this kingdom, and make sure no magic is going to be in use," Elidi said with stern exppression, as he stepped into the king's throne room.

" Make sure no magic is going to be in use," Aibeck said in a mimicking tone, as he followed suite and went into the throne room.

As they arrived into the throne room, they were greeted by luxurious walls, beautiful painted ceiling art, rows of thrones with the Chiefs of Velhihem seated upon them, as they stared curiously at the two strangers that just came in.

At the far-end center of the room was a great emerald coloured throne with a man seated upon it, the man's eyes were closed, almost as if there was nothing in this world that could tempt him to open them.

He raised his head, but didn't open his eyes," Welcome great guests, please take a sit,"

As the king said those words, two servants suddenly came out of nowhere and put seats behind the two primordials.

" Oh no your highness, we dare not seat in your presence, for we have come here to request of something from you," Elidi said with a respectful smile.

He was impressed that a king would welcome random strangers into his throne room and still ask for them to sit. It was like saying that they were on the same status as the chiefs, which put a few frowns on their faces.

Why would the king even mind people that look like they've been scavenging the world for a piece of food? They thought that some powerful wizards were about to come in here, how were two beggers going to help them break the curse that plauged their land?

" Your highness, are you sure these are the guests you spoke of us receiving?" One of the chiefs asked with doubt overflowing his words.

" Of course they are, I am very positive," the king said with a smile.

" Your highness, I would advise you open your eyes to look at the people who stand before you," Another chief said, but he then Immediately regretted his words, even the whole room became dead silent.

" I should open my eyes?" The king had an expression of confusion," I should open my eyes. Should I truly open these eyes,"

The king then suddenly began mumbling many inaudible words, but Elidi and Aibeck heard it all too perfectly.

" Should I open my eyes?"

"Should I open my eyes for you great guests?"

" Should I?"

" Should I open them?"

" Should I open these eyes?"

" Yes! Yes, yes! Yes! My eyes should be opened. My eyes are meant to be opened," The king then slowly began to open his eyes.

As his eyes were slowly being opened, bright light began to see out of the part of his eyes that were opened, and then he stopped, he didn't open his eyes fully, but the amount of light that was shining through the half opened eyes made the chiefs put their hands in front of their eyes.

" Your highness wha-"

" Do not worry, I k ow what you want." Before Elidi could finish his sentence, the king cut him off.

The king then waved at one of the servants in the throne room and the servants walked towards Elidi and Aibeck, he then gestured for them to follow him out.

Not wanting to cause any form of trouble, Elidi grabbed Aibeck's hands which were about to do something up to no good, and followed the servant.

As they left the throne room, they heard the king's voice in their ears.

" Rest tonight, we would talk tomorrow great primordials,"

Elidi and Aibeck both looked at each other, each with a shocked exppression of their own.

How did the king know who the were if this is the first time they were meeting?

" It seems this kingdom isn't all what it seems to be,"
