Chereads / Passion (Yuuji) Volume 1 / Chapter 18 - Chapter 18

Chapter 18 - Chapter 18

Just then, Xin Lu came out with a tray from the small room, the teacup looked dangerous so Jeong Taeui quickly stood up and took the tray. Xin Lu's face when she smiled and said, 'Thank you.' was also very cute.

Just like he said, his taste has never changed. For the second time in his life, his heart was beating wildly in front of such a beautiful and adorable young man.

"Have you adapted to this place yet? It's tiring, isn't it?"

Sitting across from Jeong Taeui, Xin Lu spoke. Jeong Taeui briefly wondered what he meant, but when he realized that he was asking about his condition after arriving here for a few days, Jeong Taeui nodded with an 'ah'.

If you say you're not tired, you'd be lying. The reality is that as long as you train and do all your work from 8am to 5pm, the rest of the time is free time. No one says anything about drinking or smoking, so the time here is much more relaxed than in the army.

However, the work during regular training was quite strenuous. He felt like he had to handle twice as much work as usual in half the time. There was a lot to learn and the members working with him were all top talents out there, so it was not easy to compete with them.

Carlo with his massive body is not afraid of anyone, Tou always walks around with simple thinking, and Alta is a hot-tempered person who reeks of alcohol….. If you think further, the crazy man he saw in the video yesterday is also one of the rare talents….

Jeong Taeui didn't want to think about anything anymore. He let out a sigh to ease his empty head. Which way would the world around him turn?

"Are you tired? I have dried fruit soaked in honey, would you like some?"

Suddenly, Jeong Taeui was startled when he realized Xin Lu's existence, he was looking at him with worried eyes.

Xin Lu's face had already come close to his eyes before he knew it. He could even see the shiny hair on her ears. Her cheeks were also round like a little boy's.

His heart skipped a beat for a moment. As he approached, the scent of soap wafted past his nose. Suddenly, his chest felt hot.

But it wasn't just his chest that was burning.

"Um… I'm not that tired, but if it's you, I want to try."

Jeong Taeui smiled awkwardly and tried to speak calmly. Xin Lu immediately replied softly, 'Yes, yes.' and stood up to go into his private room.

As soon as Xin Lu disappeared from sight, Jeong Taeui was careful not to make a sound and pounded his chest like crazy.

What's wrong, Jeong Taeui? We've only met for a few days, and you're already acting so ugly. Get a grip, Jeong Taeui! He's still just a kid, look at the fluff on his ears and those baby-like cheeks. How could such a kid have such dark thoughts!

But on the other hand, he could also hear a whisper in the corner of his heart. If he was 22 years old, he was clearly an adult, even if he had some thoughts like that, there was no reason to be shy. It wasn't like he was forcing him to do anything, look, the two of them were still drinking tea together and the atmosphere was very good, wasn't it?

Jeong Taeui was holding his head in pain as thoughts were fighting in his mind. No matter which side he was on, the top priority was to cool down his body, which was burning hot from smelling that soft scent. Jeong Taeui wondered if it was because of the time it had accumulated. Yes, thinking back, it had been over a month since he had properly tasted that scent, but he still had a long way to go. He had to restrain himself.

Jeong Taeui pounded his chest as if he was thirsty. Taking deep breaths and hitting himself, his body cooled down a bit. At the same time, Xin Lu also returned.

"What's wrong? Where do you feel uncomfortable?"

Seeing Jeong Taeui punching his chest, Xin Lu looked at him strangely and put down the plate of dried fruit. Jeong Taeui laughed and shook his head. He stroked his chest again.

He drank tea and looked up silently.

Even though he looked very young, Xin Lu was not a child. His gently attractive eyes, moist and full lips, round cheeks and fair skin made him look younger than he actually was in terms of sexiness.

Xin Lu raised his head, perhaps because he felt his gaze. Then, he smiled. Jeong Taeui felt a little guilty. Could Xin Lu read something in his eyes?

"By the way, I heard that Jeong Jaeil, who used to work at the head office, is your older brother, right?"

"Huh? Mr. Jaeui? Um, that's right."

Jeong Taeui nodded, relieved to have something to talk about. Perhaps the fact that Jaeui was his brother had spread throughout the entire branch. There couldn't be any secrets when over a hundred people were trapped in one building. Although this wasn't exactly a secret.

"He's very smart, everyone says so. I heard you two are twins."

"hmm….. that's right, but you and your brother are not the same, from face, brain to personality, your brother is better than you."

Jeong Taeui took a piece of dried fruit and took a bite.

Nothing could trouble Jaeui. That was a given from the start. Jeong Jaeui was someone who no one could defeat. By now, he had gotten used to all sorts of reactions from the people around him regarding his brother. It had been a quarter of a century since he had gotten used to it.

So, everything is fine now. But recently it has been a bit difficult because most of the people who want to approach him are with the intention of his brother. It would have been better if they had made it clear from the beginning that the person they wanted to approach was him. The bitterness of knowing that the purpose of the people who approached him was somewhere else seemed incomparable.

Jeong Taeui thought about the past for a moment and smiled. It was natural for people to get used to anything that was repeated too many times. The first few times might hurt and be heartbreaking, but when the same things were repeated over and over again, the heart would be covered like a shield and wouldn't feel anything anymore.

Jeong Taeui stared blankly at the smooth red glow of the fragrant teacup.

Well, that's how it is. For whatever reason, if the person this young man is interested in behind is really Jeong Jaeui and intends to use Jeong Taeui as a means.

Then...

Jeong Taeui smiled.

So what. Just go with the flow.

There are things that can be reached, but there are also things that cannot be touched. The human heart is like that.

But even though this boy did the things others did to him, he was still a boy with a lovely and innocent appearance.

"Do you want to meet him?"

Jeong Taeui asked while enjoying the aroma of the tea. Xin Lu's eyes widened for a moment. His face looked like he didn't understand what he was saying. Then, it seemed like he understood what he meant and shook his head.

"There's no reason why I don't want to meet him, but…. I don't know him either, do I?"

"That's right…."

Jeong Taeui just smiled calmly.

Thinking back, it wasn't always that bad. After all, even though they all approached him because they wanted to see Jeong Jaeui, some of them still stayed by Jeong Taeui's side. If it weren't for Jaeui, they would never have gotten to know each other in the first place, but in the end, they were all by his side until now.

"But it seems you are very famous."

"Huh?"

"Because we are brothers. Even though you two don't look alike, if you were twins, you would have some similarities. If you were as smart as him, you would probably be very popular."

"..."

Jeong Taeui held the teacup in his hand and blinked repeatedly. Xin Lu spoke seriously and drank the tea as if nothing special happened. Jeong Taeui looked at him in confusion.

How to say it, those words just now seemed to have made him feel a lot better.

"Um… my brother is famous. (Although they are famous with ambitious organizations in different countries). But…. I am not famous at all."

Jeong Taeui said in confusion. Then, Xin Lu opened her eyes wide in surprise and looked at him.

"It must be because Taeui-san doesn't know. You're famous too, you look amazing like this."

Xin Lu smiled and spoke clearly, then reached out to gently brush Jeong Taeui's hair away from his forehead. Her small, clean hand brushed across his cheek and touched his ear.

"Your facial features are also very clear… I think you shouldn't let your sideburns get too long, it will cover up your face. Your neckline looks beautiful, so you can cut your hair short."

"um…. is that so?"

Jeong Taeui replied, his mind as if floating on cloud nine.

He couldn't move a finger. The hot hand slid across his forehead and cheeks. The fingers touched the back of his neck for a moment, tickling. It was hard to breathe.

"Uh…. Brother. You must be hurt. There's a bruise here. Wait, I have some ointment, let me get it and apply it on you."

Xin Lu's hand stopped between his shoulder and neck. Until now, Jeong Taeui had not been aware of the wound, but when he pressed lightly on the bruise, it hurt. Perhaps he had been beaten in some competition.

Xin Lu opened the drawer, took out an open bottle of medicine, took a little bit in the palm of his hand, then stroked Jeong Taeui's neck.

"Oh, no, it's okay. It doesn't hurt that much."

Jeong Taeui was confused and tried to stop Xin Lu but suddenly fell silent. His voice was a bit hoarse. Hearing his own voice, he became even more confused.

Luckily, Xin Lu didn't notice and started applying ointment to Jeong Taeui's neck. Her soft fingers slid up his neck, it felt so comfortable, like being massaged.

However, Jeong Taeui was very confused. Xin Lu's breath was still on his ear. The steady breathing and warm breath made his face feel hot.

"Please Lu. That's enough, stop…—-"

His body became hot. Finally, Jeong Taeui grabbed Xin Lu's wrist and pulled it away. He told himself that this was the perfect opportunity. But what was even more disastrous was the reaction in his little boy.

The thin fabric of the pants was not enough to hide that bulging part.

Xin Lu was suddenly pushed away, and he looked at him with a confused look. But he soon realized where Jeong Taeui was looking and looked down. He could feel Xin Lu's surprise as he looked down.

A look of confusion lingered on Jeong Taeui's face. He had absolutely no idea what to do at this point.

Jeong Taeui clicked his tongue, his head feeling like it was smoking. He felt angry at his own stupidity.

What am I doing? I'm not that passionate teenager anymore.

I wish someone would suddenly come in and punch him in the face so hard that he would pass out.

"You…my hand.."

"...I...I'm sorry."

Jeong Taeui then realized that he was still holding onto that small wrist. Their eyes met. Childlike eyes blinked at Jeong Taeui. Facing those eyes, Jeong Taeui's face became hot again.

He suddenly jumped up from his seat, the chair being pushed away. Jeong Taeui held his empty hand, fidgeting not knowing what to do, he could only mumble, 'I'm sorry.' and turned his head away. He should have made some excuse or apologized more, but he could hardly face that face right now.

Jeong Taeui hurriedly ran out of the office and stepped into the dark hallway.

I don't think I'm so easily disappointed in life.

Jeong Taeui took long strides, almost running towards the elevator. Two people passed by him, but neither of them had any intention of stopping the red-faced boy to ask what was wrong.

Jeong Taeui walked aimlessly with a confused mind. When he came to, he was already standing in front of his uncle's room.

He tugged at the doorknob, but it was locked. Looks like he's gone somewhere again. Good, anyway.

Jeong Taeui took out the key he always carried with him and opened the door, entering the room. The room was still so neatly arranged that not even a speck of dust could be seen.

He casually took off his shirt, opened the fridge, took out a can of beer, and gulped it down. After a few sips, the can was empty. Still not enough, Jeong Taeui took out another can and drank it. This time, he also drank it all in one gulp. He took out another can and drank half of it. Only then did he feel his body calm down a little.

Suddenly, a large mirror placed next to the table caught his eye. He turned his gaze to the person in the mirror. From his earlobes to the back of his neck, his entire face was red. Seeing this, Jeong Taeui became even more embarrassed. He picked up the cold beer can and pressed his hand to his cheek. He wanted his cheek to cool down, but his hand was already burning.

Jeong Taeui stood there holding a can of beer, then opened the refrigerator door and plopped down in front.

His lower body had been dormant for a long time, as if it had never raised its head. But from his face to his chest, it was still burning hot.

"Damn it…..If you're going to sleep like this, then you shouldn't have raised your head in the first place. Why are you making things difficult for me?"

Jeong Taeui looked down at his pants and silently blamed himself. However, that mindless thing couldn't understand what he said, it was all because of this head.

Jeong Taeui sat on the floor in front of the refrigerator door, looking at his feet. Then suddenly he raised his hand to touch the back of his neck, groping the place where those soft fingertips had just brushed past.

The slippery ointment had not yet dissolved. He tried to rub it on.

It was just a normal hand applying ointment to him, there was no way his body would heat up even if he rubbed it with his hand hundreds of times. But because the owner of that hand was her.

"I guess I'm really attracted to her…. what should I do?"

Jeong Taeui muttered out loud, but there was no way he could get an answer. He thought that if he said it out loud, his mind would sort itself out a bit, but he didn't feel it.

Jeong Taeui used the back of his hand to cool his burning face in vain.

He needed something to clear his head. If this continued, it would take a long time for this hot atmosphere to subside. Should he take a cold shower? Who knows, maybe cooling down his body would also cool down his mind.

Jeong Taeui drained the remaining can of beer before standing up.

He drank beer in vain. The more he drank, the hotter his face became.

Jeong Taeui cursed himself for being stupid and headed to the bathroom. It would be better to fill the bathtub with water and soak in cold water.

Jeong Taeui turned on the faucet, absentmindedly watching the rushing water. He seemed to hear a faint bell sound mixed with the sound of water.

He leaned halfway out of the bathroom door and looked around the room. Sure enough, the phone on the table was ringing. The quiet ringing that filled the room had become familiar now.
