Chapter 17: The Traitor's Identity
Kane couldn't concentrate on the battle plans, his mind consumed by the mysterious message. Who was the traitor?
He called a meeting with his most trusted advisors, including Ahmed and Queen Becca. "We have a traitor among us," he announced, his voice low and serious.
Queen Becca's eyes widened. "Who could it be, Kane?"
Kane hesitated, unsure of who to trust. "I don't know, but we need to find out fast."
Ahmed spoke up, "I think I can help, Kane. I've noticed strange behavior from one of the generals."
Kane's eyes locked onto Ahmed. "Which one?"
Ahmed hesitated, then whispered, "General Levi. I've seen him arguing with Malakai's dark knights, and he seems overly interested in our battle plans."
Kane's grip on his sword tightened. "Let's investigate further. We can't afford to have a traitor in our midst."
As they began to investigate General Levi, Kane received another message from the unknown sender...
"Meet me in the old windmill on the outskirts of the kingdom at midnight. Come alone."
Kane's heart raced. Who was this mysterious sender, and what did they want?
