Diana watched the boy, Theo Vision, as they left the Watchtower, heading toward the teleportation tubes that would take them back to Earth.
She could sense the immense potential within him, a raw, unrefined power that shocked her. She could also see his confusion and fear at the possibility of misusing his power, and his simultaneous excitement at the endless possibilities.
The duo went to the teleportation tubes together, and travelled to the coordinates Wonder Woman had punched in, outskirts of Washington.
As they materialized on the outskirts of Washington, near the lush grounds of her expansive estate, Diana turned to him, her warm smile attempting to ease the tension she could see in his posture.
"Welcome to my home, Vision," she said, her voice soft but powerful, filled with the kindness that came from centuries of wisdom.
The luxurious villa stood surrounded by nature, its Greek-inspired architecture radiating calm and serenity. Tall columns lined the entrance, while marble statues of gods and goddesses adorned the grounds, paying homage to her Amazonian heritage.
Simultaneously, Vision could also see something, a mystical barrier that enveloped the estate, protecting it from attacks, and warding off mortals from wandering in. To others, it was invisible, yet to him, the barrier was as clear as day.
Vision remained silent for a moment, taking in the sight of the place that would now be his home, with one part of his mind.
Vision had already learned to split his consciousness in order to work on multiple tasks at the same time. Although he didn't have past life memories, the Gem seemed to be guiding him on the basics.
Currently, Vision was working on his Mind-Scape, a mental world within his very own consciousness. A Mind-Scape could be called every being's personal mental plane of existence constructed from their thoughts, memories, imaginations, dreams and everything in between.
It is a materialization that brings the entire mental extension into being as one dimension-like-realm that does not follow the regular laws of physics.
Normal humans cannot access their Mind-Scape, and thus it is usually disorganized beyond their potential innate abilities like enhanced memory.
However, as a supremely powerful psychic, Vision had completely dominion and access to his Mind-Scape instantly, and could shape it to his will, as he was currently doing.
In his Mind-Scape was a castle that was growing larger and larger with every step that he took alongside Diana, a castle surrounded by a gigantic city with an expansive landscape that stretched for miles.
The Castle, and the city by extension were meticulously designed, massive firm walls fortified. Each building held a different purpose, a different bastion of information.
The buildings were marked by their purpose, or rather what type of information they would inevitably hold inside of them, such as: Language, Business, & Science!
But what truly made the structure impenetrable was the dragon. At the entrance to the fortress of a City stood a massive, nine-headed dragon, each head capable of breathing a different element, fire, ice, lightning, earth, wind, water, and more.
Its scales glistened, shimmering with power, and its eyes glowed, alert to any potential threat that might try to breach his mindscape. It served as the ultimate guardian of his consciousness.
To be true, he didn't need one, the gem was so powerful that no telepath could ever invade his mind, but it never hurts to be prepared.
"I see you've already learned multi-tasking, the psychic way." Diana spoke as she lead Vision into the villa, chuckling at his facial expression.
Vision blinked and nodded, his voice carrying a trace of awe as he looked at her, not expecting her to realize what he was doing, "Yes... I'm just... building. Organizing."
"Martian Manhunter did that quite a-lot when we first met, so I see the signs." Diana said, explaining how she realized what exactly he was doing.
"Your mind is your most powerful tool," Diana said, giving her two cents, "The fact that you're already creating defenses and order speaks to your potential. It's quite impressive how talented you are."
As they entered the villa, the inside of his Mind-Scape continued to form. He imagined more and more buildings, each designed to serve a specific purpose.
One building contained information about reading body language, another held every piece of knowledge he would gather from the Justice League. Another held a training arena where he could mentally practice his powers, testing his limits in a controlled environment.
At the core of the entire Mind-Scape was his personal space, his sanctuary, an open space at the center of the Castle. Quiet, filled with gentle animals like mystical foxes, filled with soft light, a place to reflect and regain control.
"This place..." Vision muttered aloud, looking around Diana's villa as she led him inside. "It's beautiful. Peaceful."
Diana smiled, "Everyone needs their own sanctuary, away from all obligations, and this is mine, and will be yours for the foreseeable future. Do not forget, rest is just as important as training. Sometimes, you need to sleep to gain the answers you need."
Diana said before turning quiet, allowing Vision to rest on her words.
Soon, Diana led Vision into a Grand Bedroom, "This will be your room for as long as you need it," she said gesturing to the expansive space, "Settle in well."
The grand bedroom Diana offered to Vision was nothing short of magnificent. The room was a harmonious blend of ancient Amazonian tradition and modern luxury.
Floor-to-ceiling windows allowed natural light to stream in, casting a golden hue over the space during the day and offering a breathtaking view of the sunset and the stars at night.
Rich, dark wood floors were adorned with plush rugs depicting Amazonian myths and symbols. The walls were decorated with intricately carved panels, each telling the story of the Amazons' greatest battles and victories.
At the center of the room was a massive four-poster bed, draped with soft, white linens and pillows that looked as though they were spun from clouds. The bed's frame was made of dark wood, carved with Amazonian symbols of protection and strength.
The headboard had inlaid gold filigree that shimmered subtly in the light, a testament to both its elegance and craftsmanship. On one side of the room, a stone fireplace crackled warmly.
Nearby, a pair of luxurious armchairs and a low table created a cozy nook, perfect for quiet reflection or conversation. The room also had an expansive desk made of sleek, polished wood.
Diana gestured to the sleek desk, where two items were placed. "Batman wanted you to have these," she said, walking over to the desk. She picked up a slim, cutting-edge laptop and handed it to Vision, "This is the latest in Wayne Tech's line, extremely secure, fast, and capable of handling anything you need it for. Batman trusts you'll put it to good use."
The laptop itself was very advanced. Matte black, slim, and minimalist in design, it was as much a work of art as it was a tool. The Wayne Tech emblem was subtly etched into the corner.
Diana then handed him a phone, "And this is a Wayne Tech phone, custom-made. Secure communications, untraceable, with all the tools you could need." The phone was similarly sleek, with a matte black finish.
Vision accepted both items, looking at them with gratitude. "Thank you," he murmured.
As she left him to settle into his new surroundings, Vision looked around the grand room once more, appreciating the thoughtful details and the significance of the gifts.
He placed the laptop and phone carefully on the desk and stood by the window, gazing out at the endless horizon, feeling a sense of belonging starting to take root in his heart.
After a bit, Vision went and sat at the desk, his fingers hovering just above the sleek surface of the Wayne Tech laptop. His eyes gleamed as the device powered up, the screen coming to life in a smooth, silent glow.
Without even touching the keys, he extended his mind toward the machine, letting his psychic abilities flow outward.
Technopathy -The power to psychically interact, communicate and manipulate technology with the power of the mind, which Vision was using to gather data.
It was a strange, thrilling sensation, like sinking into an ocean of data, where every current was a stream of information. His consciousness merged with the laptop's systems, and suddenly, he didn't just see the data; he felt it.
The circuits hummed in sync with his mind as he navigated effortlessly through layers of encrypted files, firewalls, and security protocols.
In seconds, he learned how the device worked, its specifications, its connection to the Watchtower's network, and every hidden feature Batman had built into it.
Now that he had used his power, he realized the computing power of these devices was a joke compared to him. The speed at which he took in, processed, filtered and organized information could not be compared to anything.
Comparing it to a god-like Supercomputer would still be an insult to him. Vision didn't just access the information either, he absorbed it, his mind processing vast amounts of data in mere moments.
Files, maps, blueprints, news feeds, encrypted Justice League databases—all flowed through him in a blur of knowledge. It was exhilarating, almost overwhelming, but he maintained control, filtering out what he didn't need, focusing on what was important.
In the span of seconds, Vision learned many things he needed to know about the world. Languages, current Economic State, celebrities, information about various subjects like Math, Music, Art, Geography, Science etc.
Vision even learned the more dark, hidden information. Secretive organizations, mafias, gangs, corrupt politicians, the dubious acts the powerful and rich indulged in, all of them.
Finally, he also learned more about the Superhero world. The various heroes, their debuts, their powers, their villains and more.
Every layer of information deepened his understanding, he organized and filtered this information effortlessly, building the foundations of his knowledge in this world with each passing second.
As the flood of data slowed, Vision disconnected his mind from the laptop, feeling both energized and grounded. He had learned enough for now, about the world, the League, and the immense responsibility that came with his powers.
Sitting back in the chair, he exhaled softly, his fingers finally resting on the desk as he glanced at the laptop's idle screen. In that brief session, he had absorbed more than most people could in a lifetime.
And yet, it was only the beginning.
