Chapter 21 - Chapter 21 The Ghost

"It's Alex, and he's working for the Ghost"

"What? Who is the Ghost and why is Alex working for whoever the Ghost is?" Anna asked, her mind racing to make sense of the shocking revelation.

Mila just nods in confirmation.

"It can't be Mila how is it possible, he's family he is our protector," Anna asked nervously.

Mila hesitated. "I... I don't know, Anna, Alex didn't want to tell me. That's why I didn't say anything earlier. I want to find out the truth for myself before I told you." She paused again, her voice trembling. "And I think...I think Father might know more than he let on. He's the one that rescued me, Anna. There's something more to this prophecy than what he told us, he is hiding a lot more. I wanted to discuss it with him, but before I had the chance, this rescue team," she gestured towards Tristan and Alfonso standing in front of them, "kidnapped me from my own home."

"You've got it all wrong, cupcake. We didn't kidnap you, we saved you, right Chad? Tristan said seeking confirmation from Chad.

"You're on your own on this one, Tristan, I was not there but there's another problem we need to address urgently.

Anna's brow furrowed in confusion, "And what will that be, Chad," her voice filled with worry and confusion.

"We need to finish the shoot...."

"Now you're talking, who do we need to shoot, I will do it just tell me where and when," Alfonso interrupted Chad with much enthusiasm

"You're still an idiot, Alfonso," Chad said rolling his eyes. "I really don't know how you got this far, but as I was saying we need to finish the photoshoot. We were only halfway when Phoenix and Anna disappeared from the stage." Chad muttered sarcastically.

Anna blushed and looked at Phoenix who had a goofy smile on his face. "Well, I couldn't help it and it was necessary," Phoenix said

" It's, more like I wanted to than necessary," Mila let out laughing.

"Doesn't matter whichever way we need..."

Phoenix was interrupted by Chad's phone that rang. Chad looked at the caller ID and frowned, "Excuse me," he said and walked out.

Tristan's gaze locked on Chad, his eyes narrowing as a wicked grin played across his lips. Alfonso, sensing the tension, glanced at Tristan, his brow furrowing. Something was definitely amiss. Tristan turned his head to meet Alfonso's concerned gaze, his previously brown eyes now resembling pools of darkness.

Without skipping a beat, Tristan beckoned to Alfonso, his voice dripping with an air of imminent action. "Let's go," he muttered through gritted teeth, each syllable laced with an unsettling determination. They both rose abruptly, their expression far from jovial, and briskly exited the house.

Phoenix, observing their sudden departure, couldn't help but voice his confusion. "What's up with them?" he asked, his voice tinged with a mix of intrigue and concern. "They look like they're going to murder someone."

As the pieces of the puzzle began to fall into place, Phoenix turned his attention back to Mila, his curiosity piqued. "Tell me Mila, where does this Tristan guy fit in? He seems remarkably protective of you."

Mila sighed, her gaze trailing off into the distance. "He was my first love, Phoenix. Someone killed him right in front of me six years ago, we all thought he died, but somehow as you can see, he is very much alive."

Phoenix's eyebrows shot up in surprise. "Well, isn't that a twist? So, Alfonso is your ex-fiancé, Tristan is your ex-boyfriend, and Chad is your current lover? They're all fighting over you and are you supposed to work together as a team? Wow, you're expecting a lot from three guys that come from totally different worlds but I'm curious, Mila, how are you going to handle it? And, more importantly, who are you going to choose before they decide to kill each other?"

Mila shook her head, a small chuckle escaping her lips amidst the chaos. "Honestly, Maddox, I'm not interested in any relationship right now. I need to sort out my life first and focus on my career."

Phoenix raised another eyebrow, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Well, it didn't seem that way the other another day when we saw you and Tristan in your apartment, completely naked."

Mila's cheeks flushed crimson as she sputtered, trying to form a coherent response. "I... I mean, yeah, I realize that but trust me, nothing is going to happen again."

MEANWHILE....ON THE PORCH OF THE BEACH HOUSE

"Who are you talking to, Chad?" Tristan's voice cut through the tension as he and Alfonso stood side by side arms folded.

Chad's eyes darted between them, a flash of frustration crossing his face. He clenched his fists, feeling the anger rise within him. "Nobody, and I'm still busy," he snapped. "It's private, so if you don't mind, could you please turn around and go do something stupid, as you always do."

"Excuse me!" Alfonso's voice grew louder as he strode towards Chad. He shot a quick glance at Tristan, a silent cue. "Come on, bro, let's show this model what he's dealing with."

A mischievous smile tugged at Tristan's lips as he nodded. The two of them moved in unison, swiftly grabbing Chad by his arms, and lifting him off his feet. Chad dangled in mid-air as they carried him, protesting, off the porch and towards the beach.

As they reach the water's edge, Tristan and Alfonso release their grip, letting gravity take over. Chad splashed into the water sending droplets flying in all directions. He resurfaced, sputtering and drenched, his anger now mixed with indignation.

"You guys seriously need to get a life!" Chad shouted, water dripping from every inch of his soaked clothes. "What was that for?"

Alfonso's expression hardened, his eyes narrowing. "We don't trust you." and with that he and Tristan turned back to the beach house.

Mila's gaze turned fierce as she propelled herself into action, leaping up from her spot and sprinting towards Chad in a swift motion. " You're soaking wet, Chad! What happened?" she demanded, concern filling her voice.

Chad's face contorted with frustration. Those two idiots dropped me in the water for no reason at all!" he seethed, gritting his teeth.

Mila's eyes narrowed, her fury bubbling to the surface as she shot Alfonso and Tristan a scorching glare. "Come on, Chad," Mila said sternly, gripping his arm with determination. "Let's get you to a warm bath and some dry clothes."

Without hesitation, they make their way to Mila's room. Chad glanced over his shoulder, a mischievous twinkle in his eyes as he stuck his tongue out at Alfonso and Tristan. The duo stood frozen in place, their jaws dropping in disbelief at the audacity of the display.

Mila's heart skipped a beat as she stood in her bathroom, the steam rising from beneath enveloping her body, she quickly turned off the tap that filled the tub with hot water, when Chad sauntered in - completely naked. Her eyes widened, and she stammered, "Wait, Chad, what are you doing?"

A mischievous smile played on Chad's lips as he replied, "I'm going to take a bath. Why, is there a problem?"

Mila bit her lip, her cheeks flushing with rosy hue. "Well, um, it's just...you're...never mind," she managed to utter, her voice barely above a whisper.

Without hesitation, Chad descended into the soothing embrace of the warm water, that caress his skin. Mila couldn't tear her gaze away from his chiselled physique - his broad shoulders, his sculpted abs when she saw his muscles relax. Her lips moistened as she unconsciously traced the curve of her lower lip

A mug grin spread across Chad's face as he caught her unguarded stare. "Like what you see?"

Mila's eyes widened, her breath catching in her throat. "I...uhh.. I must go," she stammered.

"Wait," Chad grabs her arm. "Why don't you help me here with my back I can't reach there."

Mila hesitated for a moment, her eyes filled with longing. "Okay but I will be quick," She whispered, her heart racing as she went to sit on the side of the tub, she poured some soap into her hand, her fingertips dancing along Chad's back, tracing every curve and muscle, igniting a fire within him. With every touch, she conveyed her affection. She leaned in closer as her hands glided down Chad's perfect abs, her lips barely grazing his.

Chad gazed deeply into her eyes, his fingers delicately tracing the contours of her face. "Chad we..." Mila's words were stopped by a passionate kiss.

Chad lowered her onto him, the water, caressing her waist as his lips trailed down her neck. Mila let out a soft moan, her body melting into his touch. In this moment of intense intimacy, Mila was filled with a deep sense of love and desire for Chad, but confusion overpowered her, and she stopped the kiss.

"We shouldn't Chad...."

"I'm hungry Mila..."

"Well, let's get you some food then," and she moved to stand up.

Chad's grip around her waist got tighter, "You know what I mean, Mila."

"Yes, I know Chad, but I... can't...we shouldn't..."

"Okay, Chad cut her off, "I respect you enough to stop, I'll wait but, I don't know for how long," Chad sighed and he let her go.

Mila swiftly left the room, determined to find some clean, dry clothes for Chad. She made her way towards Tristan's room. The door creaked open, revealing a dimly lit space. Mila reached for the light switch, but before she could flip it on, the door slammed shut, trapping her inside, her back collided with the wall and a strong force pressed her firmly against it. "You thought you could sneak into my domain without consequences, Mila?" A low husky voice whispered.

"What is it with you pushing me up against walls, Tristan?" Mila asks breathlessly.

"You know I like it rough, and you can't resist the thrill, Mila."

With a sudden surge of strength and determination, Mila pushed against Tristan's firm hold, letting her own fiery spirit come alive. "Oh, fuck this holding back shit," and her lips came crashing down on Tristan's.

Tristan lifted her as she wrapped her legs around his waist, he walked them to his bed, he dropped her on the bed and she bounced, he smiled at her, "Just the way I like you," and he ripped her clothes off, he spread her legs and kneel in front of her. He started kissing her on the inside of her leg all the way up but got a sudden interruption.

Mila, I was waiting but you didn't come.... Chad froze when he flips the light switch and saw the scene in front of him.
