Bai Nuanxi yawned as she stepped out, only to find Huo Muchen already lying on the bed.
"What are you doing here?" She looked around, making sure she hadn't entered the wrong room.
Huo Muchen flipped a page of his book casually, his tone calm and indifferent. "You seemed shaken today. I thought I'd sleep here with you, just in case you wake up in the middle of the night, sitting alone and crying."
Bai Nuanxi: "..."
Could you stop saying things so seriously that could easily be misunderstood?
"Why would I be frightened? If you wanted to sleep with me, just say so. I wouldn't refuse," she rolled her eyes. What's with the unnecessary formality? Aren't we already married? Why act so bashful?
Huo Muchen: "..."
You should've said that earlier! If I'd known, I wouldn't have been tiptoeing around trying to find an excuse to stay.
