Everyone in the whole continent was watching silently as what might be the greatest wasr was about to take place. Near the Morning meadows, a huge campaign of soldiers had gathered. Near the eastern front were the Frega bannermen were completely towering over and south of river Temso was the Joyern army. Horis wanted a pure battle where strength would make all the difference.
But Lenin had different views on strength. As he had divided his army into three legions. One was led by Adlaf another by Karma and Bek. The last unit was under his direct leadership. He divided his army in such a way that each unit could actually as an individual unit. Equiped with their own cavalry and artillery. Other than that he told Karma and Bek to go along the river and outmaneuver the Frega army from behind. While Adlaf along with Kel will try to flank the army from the North-east as the dusty winds should be able to conceal their presence. As Lenin distracts the main army from the front.
.... .... ...
The day of the battle was upon them.
King Horis's army was so huge that his maniple stretched far deeper then they normally would. A huge show of strength that would scare anyone. Anyone but not Lenin as he calmly assessed the situation and all he saw was his victory. Before fighting he gave Horis one last chance to surrender as he did not want any war.
Lenin says," Your daughter is still in my possession. Surrender and I will let her go."
Horis laughs at this preposition," Haha, you think I care about that clumsy mouthful woman. Do whatever you want with her. If anything you'd be doing me a favour. She was been a headache for me anyways. "
This also confirmed Lenin's doubts.
Angus was innocent. She truly did not know of Horis's plans.
As both of them return to their army. There's silence. Not silence that is peaceful rather an awfully loud one. Silence that's screaming of death and blood. As if the whole universe stood still just to witness this moment.
The sound of their battle horn break this silence as both the armies charge into the battle.
A battle so bloody that it will taint the soil of the morning meadows, red.
The battle commenced. Both cavalries colliding with each other.
Lenin had a completely different approach to battle as instead of keeping the archers in the back he kept them in the front, so the Frega cavalry also had to face a barrage of arrows.
But that didn't really matter as it only made a small dent in Horis's massive army.
But it didn't really concern Lenin as he continued to chip away at their army.
He knew he didn't need to win completely. All he had to do was buy time. Until his uncle and Karma could flank and surround the enemy.
As he moves to the higher ground he realises it. Because Horis's army was so massive to begin with he didn't notice at first. But now when he sees it. It seems to be a little smaller than the estimated number.
Karma and Bek who were moving along the river banks to ambush the enemy get ambushed themselves as standing before then in front of the bridge was the Arch Mage Deftel himself with an army.
Horis had predicated, Lenin would plan something like this.
Bek prepares himself to fight the Arch Mage one more time
