Chapter Thirty-Six:
Percy's POV
The energy in the car was something.
I narrowed my eyes at the little miss, who'd been sneakily glancing at Second and Third while pretending to read a book. I was quite worried about taking them from the house with an assassin on the loose, while she seemed to be gauging them on some invisible scale.
Second had come to help because he thought Third might not know his way around the house, unlike him, who had been there twice. Third didn't mind the help, as he'd rather sit in one place than move his lazy ass about.
I cleared my throat, and the little miss looked in my direction and frowned. She raised the book higher to cover her eyes but kept facing their direction.
That was really pissing me off.
