Chapter 20 - Abomination!

A few days earlier...

"General, the serum is complete, but due to limited materials, we could only produce one dose..."

In General Ross's office, his chief researcher carefully handed him a small package.

"However, I can't guarantee its safety or effectiveness..." the researcher hesitated.

"Don't worry about that," General Ross said as he opened the package and examined the serum.

The serum was a dark red, as beautiful as a piece of agate. But more mesmerizing than its appearance was the potential power it held.

"Should we use it on Blonsky? It could kill him, but given the success rate, he seems the most suitable candidate..."

"No," General Ross shook his head, "We have a better candidate."

After Blonsky's two previous failures, Ross was deeply disappointed in him. He thought about that green giant—the Hulk.

If they used it on him, they could surely defeat Lynch, right?

Inject the serum into the Hulk, defeat Lynch, and that would allow them to acquire more materials for the serum.

Capture the Hulk, inject the serum, eliminate Lynch, and Ross's dream of the ultimate soldier would be fully realized.

And he would finally erase the humiliation those two had brought upon him.

A feverish light shone in Ross's eyes.

Bruce Banner, where are you?

Lynch, this time you will die in agony and regret!

In the restroom, Blonsky stared at himself in the mirror, his upper body naked.

Gaunt, gloomy, and with a fierce expression, he looked like a monster.

Just recently, Blonsky had once again asked General Ross for the precious serum, but was denied once more.

Although Ross claimed it was for his safety, his cold and disappointed expression betrayed everything.

Ross no longer believes in me! Blonsky thought bitterly.

Damn Ross!

He thinks I'm unworthy of the serum!

Damn the Hulk and Lynch!

Damn everything!

Gradually, Blonsky's mind became twisted with hatred. He despised the Hulk and Lynch, resenting how they repeatedly crushed him like an insect.

He loathed his comrades and Ross, who no longer believed in him, refused to help him, and now often looked at him as if he were a monster.

He hated himself, his weakness, and helplessness, unable to stand against powerful enemies, allowing his pride to be trampled and torn apart time and again.

Blonsky clenched his fists, his thin frame hunched over, with a grotesque steel spine clearly visible on his back.

A monster?

If it means gaining the power to destroy everything, so be it!

Enemies, comrades, Ross…

If I could, I would destroy them all!

"Beep beep, beep beep."

His communicator sounded. Blonsky glanced at it, a grim smile forming on his face.

It was a summon for action.

They had found the Hulk, at a scientist's place who was studying gamma technology.

During the operation to capture the Hulk, Blonsky suddenly thought, if this scientist could cure Banner and eliminate the Hulk, could he also create a Hulk?

If I could gain that kind of power…

Blinded by his desire for power, Blonsky disobeyed orders and charged into the room where Banner and the others were.

Seeing Banner, he couldn't control his anger and rushed forward, shoving Ross aside and grabbing Banner, yelling for him to transform into the Hulk.

But Banner had been sedated and couldn't transform. Frustrated, Blonsky knocked him unconscious, and his comrades then took custody of Banner...

Then—

"Bang!"

A gunshot rang out, and Blonsky rose from behind his fallen comrade.

"Why do you always resort to violence?" Stern asked, exasperated.

Blonsky, irritated, pointed his gun at Stern's head.

"What have I done to anger you?"

Stern continued to babble, unaware.

"It's not what you've done; it's what you're about to do," Blonsky said coldly. "I want what you've extracted from Banner."

Stern studied Blonsky, slowly realizing something.

"It looks like you've already injected something."

"I want more. You saw him turn into the Hulk."

"Yes, it was perfect, like a god."

Stern's face was filled with worshipful admiration.

"I want that! Make me like that!"

"I don't know what serum you have been injected. Mixing them could create…" Stern hesitated, "a disaster!"

Fury erupted within Blonsky, and he grabbed Stern, lifting him overhead.

"I didn't say I wouldn't do it," Stern choked out as he struggled to breathe. "I just need your consent, and you've already given it."

Stern had no choice but to comply.

A few minutes later, in Stern's lab.

Blonsky lay on a chair while Stern inserted a vial of "Mr. Green's Blood, 14.56% Potency" into the machine and activated it.

As the machine operated, the blood entered Blonsky's body.

A green glow quickly spread across Blonsky's skin, growing brighter and brighter.

The green light filled the room, causing the machines to malfunction uncontrollably, despite Stern's attempts to stabilize them.

Blonsky roared as the gamma energy, combined with his inner turmoil, caused his body to swell rapidly, with vicious spikes protruding from his flesh.

Moments later, a monstrous creature emerged—tall, grayish-green, with a row of massive spikes down its back, larger and more powerful than the Hulk.

With a rough, low laugh, it casually pushed Stern aside.

This creature was Abomination, a terrifying being stronger and more perfect than the Hulk, filled with hatred for everything in the world.

Unlike the Hulk, it retained human intelligence, which only intensified the hatred within its heart.

It loathed the Hulk, Lynch, and Ross.

It despised everything that had caused it pain and anger.

This time, armed with such power, it vowed to destroy everything it hated!

Soon, Abomination burst out of the lab, unstoppable wherever it went.

It rampaged through its former comrades, tossing cars like toys with its immense strength, crashing through anything in its path with its massive, durable body, and leaping across the battlefield with terrifying agility.

Soon, the bustling streets of Brooklyn, New York, turned into a hellscape.

Blood spread, flames burned, and people screamed as they fled.

Two soldiers drove against the fleeing crowd, arriving at the scene. They seized the opportunity and fired a rocket at Abomination.

But to their horror, Abomination quickly turned, caught the rocket mid-air, and smashed it against its head.

The explosion resounded, but Abomination was unharmed.

With a roar, it ran toward the two soldiers, lifting a car and hurling it at them.

"Give me a stronger opponent!"
