Chapter 25 - Is that it?

"What the hell are you up to?"

Abomination was stunned by General Ross's bizarre actions, clearly realizing that his last words weren't directed at him.

As it pondered over Ross's final words, it suddenly came to a shocking realization.

It was that guy!

"Boom!"

A thunderous crash like a comet striking the earth erupted on Abomination, knocking it down with an attack from nowhere, and the Betty in its hand vanished.

Its legs were deeply embedded in the ground, hands weakly propping it up, head lowered, looking from afar as if it was bowing to someone.

"I will kill you!" Abomination looked up at the young man in front of him, unable to suppress the rage and fear rising within.

Lynch placed Betty to the side and walked slowly up to Abomination.

He hadn't intended to get involved in this battle. After all, Abomination was Ross's mess, and letting it kill Ross would settle an old score.

Plus, this matter had nothing to do with Lynch. He didn't feel the need to get involved like a corporate stooge. He didn't want to start that precedent.

Like in the storyline, Hulk should be able to defeat Abomination. Every villain has a corresponding hero to take them down.

Unless a villain directly involved Lynch, altered the story, or became too powerful for the hero to handle, Lynch wouldn't step in.

Otherwise, there are just too many villains in the Marvel Cinematic Universe; even if he had ten hands, he couldn't handle them all.

So, he really didn't want to get involved in this brutish brawl between two monsters—it was too uncouth.

But Ross, true to his role as a boss-maker, had used some materials Lynch left behind last time to create a serum that further enhanced Abomination's abilities.

Given this, though it was still Ross's mess, it was time for Lynch to step in.

First, it was somewhat related to him. Though unintended, Abomination's enhancement was tied to him.

Second, no one could stop this guy anymore. In the original story, Hulk only defeated Abomination through a plot device. With this new boost, the Hulk—who was already nerfed in the movies—would stand no chance. Letting this creature rampage unchecked would likely mean it could wreak havoc in New York until dawn. With Tony Stark out of town, Lynch had no choice but to intervene. After all, it was only December 2009—too early in the plot for New York to be destroyed. Who would take the blame then?

Third, such a powerful and malicious threat to New York would also provide a hefty amount of justice points, something Lynch wasn't about to pass up.

Passing by the lifeless General Ross, Lynch gently closed his eyes.

Despite their past grievances, the dead deserved respect.

It seemed he had recognized his mistakes, sacrificing himself for New York's safety.

The moment he chose to end his life, all hatred had dissipated.

In its place was the shared goal of eliminating Abomination.

"Blonsky, the game is over."

Lynch stood before Abomination, coldly declaring.

"You have no idea what kind of power I possess!"

Abomination roared, furious at Lynch's arrogance.

"Then show me!"

Lynch shot forward, landing a kick squarely on Abomination's face.

Abomination raised its arms to block but was thrown backward by the immense force.

In one swift move, Lynch carried Abomination across dozens of meters, slamming it into a wall.

"Just…"

Abomination, pinned against the wall by Lynch, was about to utter its classic line.

"Just shut up!"

Lynch drove his fist into Abomination's loathsome face, smashing it into the wall.

One day after another, this thing just doesn't know when to quit. Does it really think it's invincible?

"Roar!"

Furious, Abomination seemed deeply affected by being cut off mid-sentence. A faint green glow flickered in its eyes.

It thrashed violently, shattering the wall beneath it, and broke free from Lynch's grip.

Lynch noticed a faint green aura reappearing on Abomination's body, with its muscles slightly bulging.

No way!

Isn't The Hulk supposed to get stronger with anger—how can Abomination suddenly power up?

Baffled, Lynch charged in again, fists flying.

But Abomination coldly dodged the attack and countered with an elbow strike.

Lynch's face went pale as he staggered back.

Seizing the opportunity, Abomination lunged forward with another punch, sending Lynch tumbling through the air.

Fists, legs, head—Abomination treated Lynch like a punching bag, pummeling him relentlessly. Their forms moved rapidly from ground to sky, destroying everything in their path.

Suddenly, Lynch stopped in mid-air, catching Abomination's incoming fist.

Abomination's other hand came down, and Lynch caught that too.

Then, Abomination tried to kick, but Lynch countered.

The two grappled in mid-air, arms locked in a test of strength, legs kicking fiercely at each other.

With a powerful kick, Lynch let go of Abomination and quickly ascended.

He flew up to a hundred meters, cracking his knuckles, rolling his neck, and stretching his body.

Looking down at the falling Abomination, he felt a bit frustrated.

This guy is actually pretty strong.

After their intense physical exchange, Lynch realized that Abomination's strength, speed, and even durability were on par with his own—no wonder the Hulk was terrified.

But on second thought, it made sense. Abomination now possessed three different superpowers.

It originally had something akin to the Super Soldier Serum like Captain America, Gamma Serum like the Hulk, and part of Lynch's Superman-like Serum.

Damn, with these abilities, why be a villain? Just turn the guy into the hero.

"Is that all you've got?" Abomination taunted again. "Think you're safe in the air?"

No sooner had the words left its mouth, it crouched low, springing up like it was on a trampoline, rocketing toward Lynch.

Lynch's gaze turned icy as he twisted his body to meet Abomination head-on.

If I don't get serious, will you really think this is all I've got?

"Boom!"

The two collided fiercely in the air, with Lynch using the advantage of gravity to send Abomination crashing to the ground.

He pinned Abomination down, his seemingly small fists pounding relentlessly into its face, cracking the earth with each strike.

Suddenly, Lynch's eyes flared with a searing red light, blasting into Abomination's chest.

While his fists only caused pain, they couldn't inflict significant damage—time to try the heat vision.

"Sizzle, sizzle!"

The heat vision didn't pierce Abomination's body, but it did sizzle like cooking meat, a strange, foul stench filling the air.

"Argh!" Abomination roared, landing a punch on Lynch's face, knocking him away.

It looked enraged, its voice now a guttural, beast-like growl.

"Roar!"

Lynch's eyes were shut from the punch, giving Abomination a chance for a barrage of blows.

With unstoppable force, Abomination pummeled Lynch across hundreds of meters.

One more crushing blow sent Lynch crashing into a building.

Abomination followed, slamming Lynch down, smashing through several floors before hitting the ground.

"Roar!"

It pinned Lynch down, roaring in his face as Lynch furrowed his brow and squinted his eyes.

Lynch suddenly coughed, spitting a bloodied glob of saliva right into Abomination's face.

He opened his eyes, groggily saying, "You know you're ugly, right?"

Enraged, Abomination's massive, thick fists pummeled Lynch's agonized face again and again.

Blood slowly seeped from Lynch's cheeks…

Suddenly, Abomination's fist was caught by Lynch, frozen in place.

Lynch opened his eyes, gritting his teeth, "Is that all?"

He clenched his fist, muscles bulging, and threw a punch!
