Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: the hungry heart

A frail and starved young man wearing ragged clothes, he has dark red hair, with hazel eyes, the boy has a handsom face but his pale look hides it, he walks through the busy city, with three copper coins in his hand he goes to find a shop to find something to eat.

The boy stops at a hot steamed bun shop, drooling from the smell, his stomach grumbling, asking for food.

Inside the shop, there's also a young noble, wearing noble-like clothes, with his subordinates standing beside him, waiting for the food they asked.

The frail boy, looks at him with envy and asks himself. "Why can't I have a life like that?".

He pushes through the crowd and goes to take a seat inside the shop, he sits down on the table next to the young noble, who was now sitting on the opposite side of the table next to the boy.

The noble puts a pouch filled with gold next to his hand. The frail boy, who has no money, and no family, looks at him with more envy now. As the waiter comes, the boy tries to ask for the cheapest thing they serve, but the waiter pushes him aside and goes to the side of the young noble.

Asking him

"what would you like to have you g master?" With a glee smile.

The young noble responds.

"Give me the best and the most expensive thing you offer here, and the second best thing to my subordinates".

The subordinates of that young noble, pays their gratitude saying

"thank you for your grace young master".

As the waiter turns, the poor starving boy tries to get his attention, so he can finally eat something. But the waiter, pushes him away making him drop his three coppers in his hand.

The waiter looks at the boy and says,

"If you want something to eat, go find something in the street you beggar, this place doesn't serve trash like you."

The boy tears up, most customers inside amused at the scene unfold before them, and some looks at the boy with pity.

The boy composes himself and gets ready to leave, with his gaze down. He passes the table where the young noble is sitting with a smirk on his face.
