Xue suddenly pushed me away, her face bright red, flustered about the whole situation.
"Xue?" I called out to her, not understanding what was going on.
She stood there, not saying anything back.
"Well, I guess, I should leave now. Right?" I nervously let out a small laugh. Before taking a step. I headed towards the door slowly.
"Wait!" She grabbed me by my arm.
"Do you, really promise... Not to leave me?"
I smiled as I turned back to her.
"Mhm, I do" she smiled back at me.
"Can you go wait outside a bit? I'll be back after changing so we can go out for a while" joy written all over her face.
"Alright" I left the room, slowly closing the door behind me, I stood outside waiting for her. Her footsteps were reminiscing behind the doors.
"Come in..." Xue said as she was done changing, I took a small breath before turning around and opening the door. She was wearing a red and black hanfu, with a beautiful design, my eyes were captivated by her beauty.
"You look..." The word got stuck in my throat, I couldn't express her beauty with words.
Xue thought that she didn't look good enough as I didn't fully express myself.
"Do I look bad?" She asked, her expression saddened, it looked like her excitement was shattered because of me.
"No!" I said before her idea worsened.
"I can't tell by words how beautiful you are! That's why... I" I blurted it out, as I saw her face I realised my own embarrassment as well, we both looked away from each other.
"Well!! We should get going now!" I broke the silence by suggesting to leave. She nodded her head, we began by leaving the palace, as we went out, we walked through the busy streets, the stalls were filled with people buying stuff, I checked my pockets realising that I was running out of money I got from selling the loot from monsters. I had about 30 silvers left.
"Do you need something to eat?" I asked as we were walking.
"Hm, well, I am getting kind of hungry... So why not?" She said playfully as we went through the streets, I saw caramelled fruits in the corner of my eyes.
"Would you like something sweet?" I asked her, thinking she might want a real meal instead of a small snack.
"I don't mind" Xue smiled at me as I asked.
I nodded. We both made our way to the food stand with the caramelled fruits, I handed 2 silver for two caramelled apples.
'how expensive' ... I looked at Xue from the corner of my eyes, I couldn't help but take a peak, she was really cute taking small bites out of the apple as we both kept walking.
'isn't this basically a date we're having??, how can I just notice... I wonder what she's thinking now...' I blushed at my own thoughts, lost in my own imagination, I bumped into Xue, as she stopped moving.
"Sorry..." I looked towards where she was staring at as she stopped without warning, I noticed a small group of people crowding up in a small place.
"What's going on?" I asked, trying to figure out the situation.
"Well, it seems to be a fight..." Xue responded to me with a low voice.
"I see..." We both stood there in silence for a moment.
"Let's get out of here, what's going on there is none of our business" I told her as I turned back to leave...
Xue nodded, as she turned around as well.
'if I stop the fight, it will leave a good impression on the princess, which is my sister... But I'm not on a mission... So... I won't get it trouble for ignoring it, right? ... I want to at least enjoy this day with him...' she thought to her self as she followed quietly behind me.
I noticed her sudden change of mood.
"Is something wrong?" I asked her, worry evident in my face. "You seem bothered by something."
She quickly put on a smile, shaking her head.
"It's nothing, let's keep going. Where do you want to go?" She asked, trying to change the subject.
"Hm, well. I want to go to my house for a bit, there's some touches I need to add to finish it, and a dream of mine having a house will be completed." She smiled as I told her about one of my dreams.
"Alright, let's go!" She grabbed my hand, pulling me towards the gate to get out of the city.
As we walked past the gate, we were greeted with a breeze, the walls of the city stopping the wind was no more to protect us. I watched Xue as her snow white hair danced with the wind, creating a mesmerising portrait of her in my mind, my eyes were glued to as she kept walking. I quickly snapped out of it and followed her, we walked through the lively hills filled with grass, we kept walking until we came to the forest, as we entered we were covered from the trees surrounding us, the sunlight slowly fading as we kept walking, the sound of birds chirping filled our minds, we were silent for long yet we were enjoying ourselves eating the sweet caramelled apple, once we finished we threw away the wooden stick to the ground, and now we have finally arrived at the destination.
"We're finally he-" my voice dropped as I saw the sight of my destroyed house, only the foundation was standing, the were claw marks left behind everywhere, monsters had attacked when I was away. My heart started thumping faster and faster.
The silence was interrupted as Xue spoke up.
"What happened here??" She walked up the bits of the house, crouching down to investigate what had happened.
"Seems like a monster attack..." She said as she turned towards me.
