There was a forest behind the hill, that wasn't part of the Tianshang empire, the forest was filled with monsters, the monsters had tiers from 1 to 9, a monster in tier 2 is compared to 10 monsters in tier 1. The forest was massive, it was never conquered by the Tianshang empire because of the monsters living in there.
I looked at the forest and back at where the city was, before turning to Xue and I spoke "um.. Xia... What should I do now?.. I don't want to return to the city. Because I don't know what Lu Xian will do once he sees me again.. my only option is to stay in the forest.. but I'm scared to go alone.. because of the monsters.." I trembled, slightly embarrassed to admit that I was scared, but I know that I'm powerless.
She looked at me and smiled, before taking my hand and pulling me into the forest.
"I'll protect you, I may not look like it but I'm quite strong!".
I smiled at her and said "but.. you can't stay with me forever. You have duties to attend to.. don't you?"
She sighed and said "well that's true.. then let's see... How about I teach you cultivation? So you can protect yourself too!"
I looked confused "cultivation..?"
She nodded before letting go of my hand and sitting down on the ground with her legs crossed. "Sit down like this" she said as she looked at me.
I nodded before copying her, I sat down crossing my legs and held my hands together.
She looked at me, "alright. Now we'll start cultivating okay?, you need to feel the aura surrounding in the air, then absorb it slowly but surely, and when you're full with that energy inside you, you can break through to the next step. So keep doing this over and over... Until you become the strongest! That's the goal of every cultivator!" She smiled.
I listened to her intently as I absorbed her words into my mind. I nodded with a thankful expression. "Thank you so much Xue!".
She got up as she cleared the dirt on her dress. She looked at me, "I think it's time for me to leave now! It was nice becoming friends!" She turned around to leave.
I stood up as well and as she began to walk away, I grabbed her by the wrist.
"Wait..." I muttered. There was a small flush in my face as I opened my mouth to speak again. My gaze was down at the ground but my grip on her wrist tightened..
"Will I ever get to see you again..?"
There was a small silence, before I heard a chuckle. I looked at her smiling, as she said "of course we will! I'll come visit you when I have the chance"
I let go of her wrist as I heard her say that. I was filled with gratitude for what she had done for me. I smiled and said "then I'll look forward to seeing you again.."
She nodded before walking away, returning to the city.
