Winter was in a fighting stance and ready to pounce on anyone who would approach. She bared her teeth and was low-grade growling when a silver wolf appeared and said, "you are in big trouble." The moment he saw Winter baring her teeth he stopped. He approached cautiously wagging his tail to show that he was not dangerous.
Winter relaxed and slightly lowered her head. A soft whine escaped her lips as she saw her brother coming forward. But the very next moment she again took the fighting stance as she heard a few more footsteps.
"Relax! It is us," said Cheri.
"She is fine. I am fine. She just needs a little time to calm down," said Winter. She then talked to Edwina, "they found us. They are here."
"Why did you run away? Do you have any idea how worried I was?" asked Ronin, Thorin's wolf.
"There was nothing else to do. She wanted an escape and I had to give her one," said Winter.
