Penn froze in place, mid-step, head snapping up to look at the pair of Hunter's in front of him. Daniel's shoulders heaved up and down from the heavy breathing after yelling. Nathan stood there in silence, a cold and deathly expression on his face.
"You seem to be misunderstanding a great many things," Nathan started slowly, clearly suppressing his anger. Penn looked away. That face made him scared for the first time in years. "Whatever happens in my personal life, whether someone is able to leave the bed after or not, has absolutely nothing to do with properly training a newly-awakened esper. Stop bringing your personal feelings into the mix."
