I shouted at Karen in the hallway of the hotel, "What the hell is he doing here? And why are you both coming out of the same room?"
Karen quickly dropped her surprised expression, her tone icy as she replied, "Oh, Liam, you think everyone's as unfaithful as you. Since you're so curious, Harry and I were just having a business meeting."
My temper flared. "A business meeting? In a hotel room? What, the restaurant wasn't available? Or anywhere else for that matter? You must think I'm an idiot."
Karen didn't flinch, her expression cool and composed. Harry stood by her, a towering figure. I hated to admit it, but I'd always felt a pang of insecurity whenever he was around. Taller, better looking it didn't help that Karen seemed to enjoy flaunting his presence.
In his annoyingly posh British accent, Harry chimed in, "Sorry, mate. It was just a productive business discussion with your wife. Nothing more."
