"Remind me how we became friends again? Aren't you calling me drink with you only when you wanna weep about your shitty jobs..," Jaxen sighs out while looking at his light brown haired friend sitting back down after getting them another round of beers. This time guy even brought some shots with him.
"That is so not true. But who else I would cry about it when you are the only civilian I still know," Milo tsihs back, smiling widely. "My only other friends are from the same area of work. Can you even call them friends then..?" Now he was looking more frustrated.
"I feel very upset to be the only friend you have left. Your existence itself is sad," other heartlessly notes and drinks from his beer. "Go back to journalism. They are still humen in there. Some."
Milo shakes his head. "It's a daily job and pays way under. I like being a freelancer. Gives me more freedom. If I nail it fees are over double."
"Yeah, sure, work rich," Jaxen clicks his tonque. "At least you are not stuck with university studies. My every income goes straight back to studies. Or to Kazuro.."
"Oh, you are one to talk, your fiance is a millionaire!" Milo teases back. "You wouldn't even need to pay him back what you borrow! Still you do! I agree with Kaz, it's a waste of his money. And yours."
"This again.. Yeah, like you would know how it feels..."
"It feels a waste of time. You are just too stubborn to accept how lucky you are and just use it. Kaz wouldn't mind. If I had that much money, I would feel happy using it to spoil my lover."
"Wow, you have an actual lover? Not just 'lovers'?" Jaxen drops his annoyed mood and was staring the guy in front of him amazed. The way Milo said that sounded so weird from someone like him. Like it might be actually true.
Milo shows back this irritated look. "Like I would have time for someone like that.."
"Or personality. I haven't seen you even trying to go steady with anyone after high school," older guy points out smiling. "If you always just play around you will die alone."
"I will happily die alone if I can share my night time with many," Milo smirks. "Settling for only one lover is boring."
"Did Alishia leave you that broken?"
"You still remembered her name?" younger awes and takes a gulp from his beer. "I haven't even thought about her a long time. Or times back in school.."
Jaxen sighs out. He has known his friend long enough to know Milo was a pro talker, acting careless and strong 24/7. But when someone as thoughtful and tender as Milo indeed once was starts to hide his inner feelings and acting cold, like being alone wouldn't bother him a bit, he wasn't doing it because he want. But has more like grown into it by now. "Don't let a few rotten one ruin your whole aspect. You are a great guy. Don't make yourself go wasted."
"With this face I will never go wasted," Milo talks back, proudly.
"If you say so..," Jaxen raises his beer glass as an agreeding gesture, ending this topic. "Did something happen? What you really wanted to talk? I'm not that against of hearing you out if you wanna share it." He must admit it was a big surprise when Milo five years ago suddenly told them he had changed his mind about moving forward in journalism, but instead changing it totally and becoming a freelancer. Not all that, but Milo also start working under a crime investigating department, god knows doing what kind of jobs. That wasn't a small random change. Why this sudden shift? Could Milo handle such a hard work press?
Jaxen still wasn't sure. Those jobs Milo has been involved have definitely changed him a lot. He wasn't so outspoken anymore. Has grown to smart his words even more. Kind of colding himself.
"Not really. Just having something normal around once in a while is enough to clear my head. It's all shit at work. Things I can't talk. Nor wanna," Milo raises his own glass up. "I will spare your ears." And drinks. Indeed his area of work wasn't something you could just talk about lightly. What he saw in there daily was a big grey area to normal people. And he was happy to keep it that way. People like Milo were working in shadows against the crimes you couldn't bring out to the light, so the rest of the residents could play ignorant, happily ever after.
"Sometimes I fear you have taken too big bite here," Jaxen admits his worries, talking quietly. "It is dangerous, right? What you sometimes do?"
"Not really. Depends on what jobs I take," Milo corrects, to easy Jaxens mind. "I try to avoid too risky ones. Besides Boss usually makes me take cases what I can also use as a journalist, work on it and sell my words to the public. As their digital media specialists, or something. That suits me the best. No danger when you investigate things from hides."
Jaxen hums. That actually sounded quite good reason why Milo wanted to work like that. As a freelancer. "It was your Boss who made you interested of crime investigation in the first place, right? He must be something special."
Indeed Don was. Before Milo get to know that man, he was just a nameless person on paper. During this small investigation of some gang deaths for his first main page report. Milo, mostly just because of fast moves and an incredible good luck, figured out the pattern with clear evidences before cops did, ending up having to hand over his report, helping the actual crime investigation.
This wasn't so rare, media and police working together when their goal sometimes met. But it also meant more paper works. And paper war. Being even allowed to public his story out with a permission.
Milo could do so in the end. But some of his photos had been erased. The reason unknown. So of course he investigated which ones he had lost. He always kept copies for himself.
Everything related to this one man had been wiped out.
Donovan Palenne. After trying to bring this guys story to light multiple times after multiple rejections Milo stood forward. And face the guy himself. Realizing how their city actually ran made him lose his faith for the system. Suddenly everything wasn't so black and white anymore. There were people working between. Keeping the balance. People like Don who sit on the high seat of maintain the safety of the residents was also one of the most powerful characters in underworld.
That reality shattered Milos world. No matter how much he sacrifices for the truth, there was no way he could publish such. Firstly, he would be shutted down. By higher ones. Secondly, something like that wasn't meant to be known by the normal people without causing chaos. The trust between rulers and the citizens was a must. Without it, everyone would feel as Milo did now.
Wronged. Blinded. Angry.
But he wasn't a person just to stay still, cry and die. He adapt. Took Dons offer and was now one of them who kept the rat race rolling. He couldn't just go back to normal journalism without thinking how pointless it in the end was. Trying to show the public the hidden truth. When they definitely weren't ready for it.
This world work for money. That Milo would also be part of. No matter what.
"He is. That bastard went berserk and get himself locked in the whiteroom," Milo laughs then. "I just drove him back home a few days ago. So until he is back in business I'm also stuck with case hunting.. Politics with mistress are not in right now. I have some photos. You wanna see?" He search his phone, starts paging his files.
Jaxen couldn't believe his ears. "I can't even tell are you joking now or not..," he sighs while waving his hand once, like shooing that all away what he just heard.
- - - -
"I like how you haven't changed a bit. You still can't hold your liquor.."
Milo drags half sleep Jaxen outside the door, placing him rest down on the bench outside the bar they have just spend their early evening. Indeed Jaxen has never been a strong drinker. Both his lover and his best friend could drink him under the table anytime. This time wasn't exception.
While guarding Jaxens sleep, Milo calls the other half of this guy, asking a saving fetch. And it didn't take long to Kazuro drive his quite eye-catching car on the scene. If there was any who didn't see, or hear, his arriving, they must have been simple too drunk to notice.
You didn't see anyone else driving a light blue Bugatti Divo in the middle of the city just to pick up someone. Even Milo felt very stunned after seeing the vehicle Kaz had chosen for the errand. If Jaxen was awake, Kazuro would get an earful from him.
"Wow, look at that," Milo snorts and walks once around the car, meeting Kazuro when younger guy steps out from his car. This guys smile was as attractive as ever. Just twentythree years in and you could swear his aura was on his own level. being the very image of a handsome rich young man itself. Only his appearance was enought to make him look like the one you didn't want to mess up with, simple scream being rich and influential.
"It's good to see you again, Milo. Other than seeing you have once again ruined my man. Is he badly wasted?" Kazuro tsihs smiling, hugging Milo for greetings. Then he turns his focus back on Jaxen, walking closer, crouching down next to the sleeping guy.
"We took it slowly, daddy. He last longer than I expected," Milo smirks and helps Kazuro walk Jaxen inside the car. After some more word changing, Kazuro finally drives away. Milo kept his eyes on the car until it vanishs from his view.
The very same moment the relaxed appearance around him start slowly faint away. Milo really cherish the time he could share with his old friends. With those who live far from the reality where he himself lived. They were like his lights in the darkness. Something to remind him why he chose to work as he does. To keep them from seeing how sick this city actually was deep in.
A laughing from distance broke Milos blue mood. Either he would grab something to eat while heading home or he will eat out and find something else to do, to lighten his mood. He wasn't that tired yet. Nor did that even matter, his insomnia has got even worse and worse over time. There was a huge possibility he would end up pulling an all-nighter anyway.
Turning his look back toward the street behind him Milo searchs the laughers under his eyes. He swear he could recognize one of the voices.
"We are so not letting you go easy tonight, Trevor! I'm taking back all those times you reject us!" a young woman with black hair laughs while talking to the dark haired guy behind her. Or in front of her, since woman was walking backwards.
"Fair enough," Trevor smiles back to her, admitting his defeat. "But don't forget you have a shift tomorrow. I don't."
"Good," other woman with a more lighter hair color smirks next to him. "Since you lost that bet you need to keep us company until we are done! No fleeing."
"What bet I need to lose to get stuck with you two? Kina? Layla? Have some mercy on him," Milo stops this black haired womans steps by taking a gently hold of her shoulders, making her turn her surprised look on him.
"Milo!" Kina calls loudly, turns and without a pause hugs the guy. "I haven't seen you awhile! How have you been?"
"Milo!" Layla too jumps to hug him.
"Great as always," man answers, then moves his eyes on the guy. Milo knew these girls. They were quite regulars around this side of the entertainment area what Milo also favoured. And they were very loud ones as well, you could not unnotice them even if you wanted. Their friday night has clearly just began.
But this guy with them was different. Everything from his calm expression to this somehow noble way he wear himself point straightly out he wasn't like these party girls he was with, but definitely the opposite. What ever bet he has lost brought him here, where he definitely didn't fit.
And that took easily Milos attention. He was the very reason Milo decided to approach them just now rather than leave the area. The stories behind the people were always interesting to find out. The very truth, of course, was that this guy was quite good looking. Probably straight. At least according the way how guy just looked back at him when Milo hugged Kina back. It was just a very short moment but guy suddenly seem to look charged. These two were close. But definitely not a pair. Straight or not, that all really didn't matter. Milo loves challenges. And has just found his new target for the night. "Just a word and I will save you from them," Milo continues, intently looking deep into the other guys eyes.
"Too late. I can not back off from this," Trevor smiles back calmly.
"You sure? I promise it would be more pleasuring spend the night with me rather than with these girls."
"Don't fall for that! This guy will just eat you alive and then disappear," Kina warns Trevor, glaring Milo who was calmly smiling back to her. She knew about Milos one-night stand meter and it was high.
"Why make it complicated if it's mutual interest. Besides, it would be totally worth it. I am that good," Milo smoothly corrects, showing a smile to Trevor, as a defensive gesture.
Other guy took his flirt in a relaxed matter. But before he could say anything back, Kina and Layla were fast to stand for their rights. "Rather than trying to flirt with every handsome person you see, you should show your better sides. On the dance floor!" Kina pushs Milo, making him turn and walk with them while hanging in his arm. "You said you are free tonight? Our friends band will be performing in the Club DC. You so have to see it too!"
- - - -
Of course without resist Milo happily went with them. Girls were talking excitedly about the band and their vocalist friend all the way to the club in question. When they finally arrived on the scene, the concourse ahead catch them all. The line in was long. Damn long.
"You gotta be kidding me..," Kina crys silently, instantly regreting to not foreseeing this. They should have come earlier to even get in.
But Milo doesn't let this one small backoff stymie. Seeing this young woman looking this distressed all of a sudden made Milo take action. "What are you just standing here? I'm with you. Let's go," he smirks and shows a way past the line, walking toward the vip entry. Girls first didn't know how to react. But when Trevor decided to just casually follow the guy, girls did do.
"Yo, Big Eye. Making good money tonight," Milo casually calls while he was walking closer. A big guy turns to look at him after recognizing his voice. The defiant look on him changes immediate smile.
"Raahinen! You dare to show your face here!" Big Eye laughs and shakes Milos hand, then smoothly moves the red rope away from Milos way. "You came to see the new riser? These kids are popular. Not that I understand a bit their music!"
"If it's a good catch I might get something from this. And of course mention you in," younger man searchs his chest pocket and hands some cash to the man, stepping inside the vip area, noding his head toward Trevor behind him. "These three are with me." After saying so Milo walks casually in.
Trevor walks after him, young women strictly behind, trying to hold their excitement. Milo greets people in the cloakroom when the stuff asked their coats, acting his role like he owns the place.
"I am so debt to you, Milo! That was so awesome," Kina finally speaks out when they step in the serving area. She tried to not scream out how amazed she was now. And relieved. Layla too. She could only thank Milo with a hug and a smooch on his cheek.
"Just go find good spots. Isn't the band why you are here for," Milo smiles back and turns halfly. Because of the loud music, he needed to speak more loudly here. "What you like to drink? The first round is on me."
"Tequila!" girls laugh unison. That must be some inside joke between them, since that made them both turn their hype mode on. They take their leave to search free table near the stage.
Now Milo turns his eyes on Trevor who silently watchs girls leaving. Then man turns to look at Milo, meeting his eyes. "What you want?" Milo repeats his question smiling.
"Let me buy. That was a lot of cash just now, what you paid us in with," Trevor smiles back and walks past Milo, clearing he wasn't planning to let the other refuse. Man takes his spot at the bar counter, waiting his turn. "So what you want?"
Milo smirks and walks next to him, leaning his back on the bar. Clearly this guy wasn't just a silent wallflower, but has some spice in him, his own stances. Now when the girls weren't here to fill the air with their talk, there was actually a change him to speak. This Milo has been waiting. "A beer. And please change their tequile order to something else for now," he calls, not dropping his eyes on Trevor, but actually eyeing him even more carefully. This guy had green eyes. A damn beautiful ones too. "With that poison they would end up missing the whole show."
"That I already plan to do," Trevor looks back, not dropping his stare either. "So what you propose? I have no idea what they like to drink."
"They love sweets. Two vodkas with strawberry liqueur and soda will do the trick. Think that girls are always on diet so, when ever, this is their drink. Can't go wrong," Milo calls surely. "Liqueurs are full of sugar but they don't seem to care. As long as there is soda they think it balance the result."
Trevor hums. "A pro tip from the pro womanizer?"
"Free of charge," Milo smirks back. He didn't mind being called that when it was kind of true too.
"Then what you would buy for a guy you try to impress?" Trevor continues, waiting, showing this slightly sneaky smile.
How bold. Was guy teasing him or actually showing interest? Milo leans a little closer. "Every person has their own likes. I can't possible know what they want for sure without knowing at least something about them first," he clears. "When I want good results, I will do my homework properly. Right now your name alone doesn't give much out. So I would rather not guess randomly. A wrong or forcing answer would leave a bad first impression."
"You are a player. That's already my first imperssion from you," Trevor points out. "There. Start working. Figure out what I want before it's our turn." To order, he meant.
This bold act was very unexpected. But to Milo that made Trevor even more interesting to approach. "What bet did you lose? To get dragged out to drink against your will with them?"
Now Trevor clears his throat, moving his look away. "I would rather not talk about that. I can assure you wouldn't get any leads from that even if I told you."
Milo turns around and leans his arms on the bar, thinking a while before speaking. "No. The small details can sometimes be what matters the most. Makes the huge difference. Of what you will find out," he points out when Trevor looks back at him. "I am very sure that bet was as random as this one. No real reason or matter do you win or not. Like now, it does not actually matter to you do I guess your drink or not. You just find me interesting enough to talk with rather than trying to make sense of those two or other partiers here who you don't even know."
The more Milo kept talking the more carefully he tried to read Trevors body language, was there any changes. But the other was still calmly looking back at him.
"That is probably because this is your free time. Outside of work. What an introvent like you usually don't spend like this. But since you have a strong moral, you don't like to break your promises. Even as insignificant as this one was, coming here with them," Milo keeps, pointing once behind him where those two young women were already sitting at one of the tables. "They drag you all the way here but are more interested about the band. They left you with me so easily. But no harm about that. It's because you guys see almost everyday anyway. You and Kina, I would say you are closer coworkers. The way you glared me earlier when she hugged me was quite protective. You were ready to step in. First I thought it might be because I touched someone you were into. But since you drop that attitude as fast as you showed it, that must be not so..," man straightens his pose, showing even more sure smile on his lips. "That takes me to what you do for living. I know what Kina does. She is a paramedic. So she is your usual driving partner? The chemistry between you two is naturally strong because of that. But you haven't been coworkers that long. A year? Two at most. She feels too green. You on the other hand act pro. Even outside of work you keep your calm and act sharp, either it's just part of your nature from the beginning or you have grown to be so during the miles under you.."
Finally Milo keeps a break, intently still eyeing the others reaction. This was Milo just taking small notes and going with them, coloring his vision with possibilities. But he had definitely made the air around Trevor change a little. "See? Even if all that was true and I would know it for sure, it doesn't help me guess your drink," Milo points out. "What I am sure is that you usually don't drink at all. Those two had already one or two drinks under when you are the only sober one here. The word 'beer' didn't faze you as much as hearing about that vodka mix. That too clears me you have no idea what drinks are out there. Maybe you don't even know what you want. And plan to just order what ever I would suggest. Did I nail it?"
Trevor snorts now. "Wow, that was a mouthful.."
"Was it enough for you to just tell me what you would like to drink?" Milo asks wondering. Their eyes haven't apart for a while, when they just kept staring at each other.
"I was thinking Smirnoff Ice but now I really wanna try that died drink," Trevor admits smiling. "I too love sweets."
"Smirnoff Ice?" Milo tsihs. "Sorry but I am very sure they don't have it here."
"That's too bad then," guy sighs. "I guess I will go with that mix then."
"Four vodka strawberries with soda! No ice!" Milo calls, showing four of his fingers up. One of the bartenders who was standing closest notes with a hand move he got his order and would be on it next. After confirmation, Milo searchs his card pocket. "Since I figured out your drink before your order, I won. I will pay. And..," Milo pays with fast hand move. Then smirks to Trevor. "There's no visible line here when it's this crowded. You just shout your order. They will hear you out."
Trevor sighs again and shakes his head. He was definitely outside his know-how zone. This guy has tricked him badly.
"So," Milo keeps when he once again leans his arms on the bar counter, searching Trevors eyes under his. "Did I impress you?"
"You did. Your theorem was close enough," man acknowledges. Trevor was indeed impressed enough to be left very curious about what kind of person this player-seem-alike actually was. "What exactly you do for your living? First I thought you were on music business, like, a talent hunter. But I guess that's not it."
To that Milo really didn't want to answer honestly. "What I do is nothing fancy. Normal, boring stuffs."
"You evade my guestion?" Trevor smirks, leans closer. "That's kind of unfair. Since you know now what I do."
"You didn't tell me that. I figured it out."
"How childish," guy mocks back.
"I will tell you if you tell me about that bet," Milo calls an option. Teasing.
"Never," was a counter back. Instead of answering, man shows this sneaky smile. "Then I guess I just have to wait until I know enough." Their drinks were ready. Taking two of them on his hands, Trevor turns around and shows a sure smile to Milo. "I have the whole night time to figure it out myself, right? You were planning to spend the whole night with me? Then disappear?" he starts moving. "Get ready to amuse me until that. Indeed I'm not that into crowds, but I can't leave until they are done with my company. With you here, I think I can manage."
Hearing that left Milo feel quite confused. But incredible devoted. This guy was definitely into him.
- - - -
"Trevooor! It was so goood!" Kina raises her hands up, like trying to reach the dark sky above her. "I'm so glad you were with us today! Hey, hey! Did you fall in love with them! You did, didn't you! We will listen to them from this day on, non stop. They are just the best."
Just before Kina was about to reel, Trevor casually takes a hold of her, helping her walk upright. "How nice. There is a taxi here, please step in and don't bother the driver too much," man guides and helps Kina in the car. Layla was walking on his own feet, to the other side of the car and slowly jumping in as well.
"How come you are that sober after so many tequilas??" Kina keeps while searching her seat belt.
"Someone was smart enough to not drink everything what get brought in front. Take care," after making sure girls were ready, Trevor closes the door and waves. When the car gets moving, his eyes turns back to Milo who was standing behind him. "She will curse you tomorrow."
"Probably. But this is not the first time we have been on it," Milo smiles for his defence. "She knew who she was with."
Trevor tsihs and takes a step closer. "I bet you are one of the reasons I have seen her hang-overed in work. Multiple times," he wonders out loud.
"That I won't deny. But I rarely buy that many tequilas at once. The faster they were gone the faster I had you only for myself."
"How awfully straightforward..," Trevor snorts. Somehow this guys bold words didn't even surprise him. "Then? Were you planning to make me drunk enough and have your way with me?"
"What's the fun there?" Milo leans his face closer. Smiling. "I like my partner of crime being on the same page as I. And sheet action takes two at least."
Trevor was just eyeing him, without saying a word first. But finally he shows a little wider smile back. "So what were you planning to do now?"
"It depends. On what you were planning," Milo answers straight. "If you are leaving I guess this is goodbye. If you are eager to stay here still I can recommend some places to go. Play billiard, for example? There are many more quiet places with less people in, just to relax, chat and drink." Now his look changes a little. "Or if you are done here and wanna see my way through, we can go. Together. Your place or mine. Or what ever suits you."
The staring Trevor had on him was remarkably clear. He was seriously considering what he wanted to do. "I guess.. I'm not against.. going with you."
Milo smirks. Of course he wasn't.
- - - -
Trevor opens the door to his apartment and leads them in. There was a small entrence area with a simple rack on the other side and place for shoes on the other. Behind the second door which was currently open opens the bigger hall area where you could see to the living area and the kitchen.
The red paramedic uniform hanging on the rack was the first thing Milo saw after stepping in. He knew they usually didn't bring their work clothes back home, but left them in their station instead. Seeing that here made it real. Trevor indeed was working as a paramedic.
The living area was very moderately furnished. You actually couldn't be so sure what kind of person was living in. Woman or man. Or could you even knew such these days. But there was one thing what Milo couldn't shoo away from thinking. "You don't live alone?" he asks while turning his look to Trevor who now walks behind him.
Guy sneers, wondering how the hell Milo could even realize that. "I do. Now," he clears. "Really, are you a cop or something? You read stuff out from thin air.."
"There are things you just can't unsee," he calmly smiles back. Really, he shouldn't have been that nosy just now. Things like that didn't matter really. But he was just sometimes so used to read areas without really noticing himself doing so. He has accidentally just given too much information out from himself, what he never intend to do. "Your place just gives such vibes." A womans touch. But that Milo left unsaid.
Trevos hums. "Well, there was such a time. It's been a while though. You want something to drink?" he continues. "Unfortunately, Smirnoff Ice is all I have here. I really don't drink that much.."
Milo smiles and turns around, meeting Trevor in the middle of this wider entry area. "To be bold, I didn't come here to drink," he quietly says. "But came to please you. When ever you are ready."
"I change my guess. You must be gigolo..," Trevor smirks.
Milo raises his hand a little, then gently touches ones Trevors hair, going slowly down, fondling the skin from his cheek. He could easily see how nervous guy suddenly became. And he wasn't actually hiding it while breathing out shakingly.
"Exactly how this goes? I have no idea..," Trevor admits.
"Just leave everything to me. And if anything bothers you you let me know," Milo clears for mutual understanding. Touching others lips with his finger. "This is where we will start." And he gently takes his lips against Trevors. Trying.
Then searching more to touch.
- - - -
Milo opens his eyes just to realize he was now staring the dark ceiling above him. Just like that the world of dreams push him back to reality, not letting him take his rest.
This was his nightly routine. Waking up after houer or two, not able to get more sleep. Even when he would have been tired as what. There just wasn't any relief. Only some strong bills could sometimes wipe him off temporally from this world. Just to drop him back down.
It was no use when his lifestyle was how it was. His phone could ring anytime, anywhere. His actual work days could stretch houers over. Even after dropping coffee from his routines couldn't cure this shit he was living in.
Milo moves his head a little, to see this dark haired guy sleeping next to him. One thing was at least good tonight. Being able to see this hotties sleeping face. Milo should probably go while Trevor was still sleeping. There was no way he could catch any sleep anymore after waking up. But even after a while, Milo was still lying still, eyeing the guy.
This wasn't that unusual to Milo. Wake up in someone elses bed after spending one hot night with some random he had just met in the nightlife. And it definitely wasn't the first time he has turned a straight guy around.
But it definitely was the first time meeting someone like Trevor. The game what lead to this was way more interesting than any dry play Milo has done before. Overall this guy didn't fit in any category what you would assume a guy you met at the nightlife from all should fit. Even when he was clearly out of his own comfort zone, still this guy could boldly catch up and play along. To the point Milo himself ended up making mistakes and clearing them with simple avoiding to answer. Just so he wouldn't lose. At work, something like that could have make him lose his life. Smiling and lying wouldn't help then. One small mistake could be fateful..
The soft ringing from the floor wakes him up again. Instead of looking Trevor, Milo was once again staring the ceiling when he opens his eyes. He had fallen asleep on some point. But was once again interrupted. This time by his own phone. With a slow movement, Milo searchs his phone, staring the name on the screen. It was from the CID. Someone was calling a backoff for the case. Thinking this was better be something very important, Milo pushs himself up to sit and answers. "Yes?"
While he was listening to the man who was calling, he turns to look at the guy next to him. Trevor was now awake, eyeing him with tired look.
"Give me a second..," Milo calmly says and moves the phone from his ear, to check something. After a short moment he gets back to the call. "Count me in. I'm close. But without equipments." He waits an answer, a confirmation about could he get a gun and a vest near the scene. When the answer comes he ends the call immediately and gets up.
"Good morning," Milo calls quietly after finding his clothes and meeting with Trevors eyes again. He starts fastly put his jeans on.
"It's four am.. This is not morning," guy yawns back, getting slowly up to sit. They have slept, like, two hours or so. "Either you are a mailman or a cop. Who else are called to work this early.."
Milo smirks. Wasn't he kind of like both. "People need their mails in earlier every year," he sighs.
"It's saturday. I'm not buying that," Trevor clears. And keeps. "Just asking, but are you even sober enough to go..?"
When he could gather his stuff, Milo actually walks on the other side of the bed next to Trevor and leans closer, searching his lips. Giving one long kiss with tonque. After that he takes a step back. "This is me disappearing," he smiles. Doesn't say more, but just leaves the room.
After a short while, Trevor could hear the front door opening and closing. Just like that, the other guy was gone.
Trevor sighs. And gets back down, moving his blanket over his head.
