"Yes, it's only after I come looking for you that you'll realize I exist. I wonder if you'll forget about me if I don't call you." Hannah retorted, seemingly angry.
Ava knew her friend must have some complaints about being friends with her, especially when she needed her friends' care. Sometimes she felt that she didn't treat her as a friend at all.
"I'm sorry... Hannah..." Ava said, apologetically. She thought, who would understand the pain and hardship she had to bear while supporting herself and her brother on her own?
"I was just kidding. Gosh, look at you, you look serious..." Hannah put down the menu, and took Ava's hand with a bright smile on her face. "You know what, I recently saw a very beautiful bracelet. Let's go and check it out when we have time. We haven't gone shopping together for a long time."
"Yea, sure." Seeing Hannah so happy, Ava swallowed back what she wanted to say, not wanting to ruin the joyful atmosphere.
