Chapter 15 - First Punishment

Li ZiChen had been watching everything from afar with his gaze burning.

His emotions were in the high rosy sky tonight. He was close to AiLin, and even exchanged a lot of conversations together today. He was watching her from afar, admiring how the dress looked so good on her body. The curves of her waist, her full figure and her smooth milky arms that seemed strong enough to break a bone. She had always been the most gorgeous person he had ever seen. Her eyes foxy and her lips always curled up so slightly even when she wasn't smiling which made her always a seductive and confident person. When those honey voice spoke to his ears he could feel his manly desires running wild.

The gown he chose looked so good on her, he even managed to establish a clear ground to people how she is someone with a backing up and someone no one should dare to mess with. It did manage to drive many men away but it seemed one had slipped out. One who doesn't listen to the gossips of the socialites and not knowing the fact that the gown she worn is something he had given her to warn other moths not to get near her.

But akin to a glistening flame, and like how a moth had always been when it comes to flame, there would be these kind of men who didn't receive the warning he gave and immediately attached himself to her. He had watched from afar, being annoyed how the glasses moth seemed to be excitedly trying to get her attention even offering her alcohol without knowing she's allergic to it. He continued to even ask how she knew Jiang NianNian and spoke about Jiang MengYao, the two landmine of AiLin's heart!

What was he smiling at? What was he looking at? Hasn't he stared at her enough?

Li ZiChen could have stopped that man by a hit and then warned him of what he could incur if he continues messing with the wrong person. The only reason why he couldn't wasn't because he feared he would smear his good name. But because earlier AiLin had warned him not to use violence. It's more infuriating to see that the moth had blushed underneath his glasses upon feeling AiLin's hand on his shoulders.

CRACK.

He didn't even pay attention to the glass of wine that had now shattered and blasted its liquid. The women who was around him trying to catch his attention was startled but before they could pour out a sad face of how their dress had been dirtied, they looked up and immediately had their hearts falling to the bottom of their stomach. They had never seen such a frightening look on someone's face. His face had darkened and a single vein crawled on his forehead.

As he marched forward, wanting to put an end to Yu HanYu's life for good and chase him away the room suddenly turned pitch black. A single light then appeared, shining over the girl who had walked out of the darkness in the cream colored short dress. She had a pearl hairband around her hair and a smile that seemed as meek as a lamb. Her beauty was childlike thus why everyone never think Jiang NianNian was ever capable of even shouting at a fly.

"Welcome everyone!" Jiang NianNian's voice echoed in the room. Everyone immediately yelled to cheer her up but seeing this only two felt more annoyed.

Both AiLin and Li ZiChen who feels the girl should really bite on a mouthful of nails and shut her traps for good.

"I am most welcomed to have every one of you here," Jiang NianNian looked at the men who began to admire her and winked at one of them. "I am really grateful to be able to introduce myself today as Jiang NianNian of the Jiang Family! I have long been separated from my dearest families but now that I am with them, I am overridden with joy! I wish that this birthday would grant me my one and only wish. The wish of always being with my family forever and ever until our last breaths!"

AiLin who heard this couldn't help but chuckle. Sure. Last breaths? Don't worry. She will make sure of it. She had came out of prison prepared— even with the idea of killing.

A mother's rage, she wondered if Jiang NianNian knew how frightening it is.

She clenched her hands into a fist as Jiang NianNian invited her family on the stage. A host had taken over and sang them a sweet song of birthday. Everyone was also singing alone, clapping and cheering. AiLin had only stood between the myriads of people, her eyes and ears were in a blur as she could hear all of them yelling for praises and words but her mind was somewhere else utterly different fueled with immense joy as she await all this happiness be ruined to nothing.

"Happy Birthday my sister!" Jiang MengYao announced and read out his speech of birthday then they had a family hug. Jiang NianNian called out all her friends and they gathered in a huddle, shedding tears as they discussed their high school as a sweet memories.

When one has a common enemy indeed it was the fastest way to befriend everyone.

AiLin watched as her entire enemy stood at the stage of joy, clapping under the white bright light and having all the joy and admiration that the entire Beijing could offer. This was at a cost. A cost of an angel's life, a cost of her six years of life.

She paid attention to everything, burning it deep in her mind to remind her of the kind of people and each of their actions that had caused her miseries. This was the right chance for her to get rid of all her emotions, turning them to a cold, emotionless blade, one that would be so sharp all in the name of vengeance. Li ZiChen eyed her who was staring back at the people on the stage. He could see all the emotions that flashed on her eyes, the emotions of regret, anger, and a deep resentment. There was also sadness but that sadness had been remodeled into an eternal wrath.

A wrathful flower. That was another name other than Miss Fox back when she was in high school.

He suddenly saw her eyes looking down from the brilliance and she pulled out a slow smile on her red lips. Her eyes sparkled as she seemed to have come with a great and sweet idea, one for her most hateful enemies.

"The birthday alcohol isn't here?" Jiang NianNian then voiced out aloud in the microphone. She had tried to turned it off but was unable too and had spoken out of surprise that had caused for the microphone to blast her voice to the entire party hall, making everyone aware of her sudden confusion. "How could that be? That's— that is something my parents had kept for me for twenty four years! All for me! Did you lost it? What happened?!" She began to shed tears, her expression appearing mortified and sorrowful as she had lost something precious.

It was time for their attack.

And also AiLin's first punishment.
