AiLin's voice was light and sweet so much so that people took a while to realize that she might be someone dangerous.
Mrs Jiang and Mr Jiang took a while to snap out from their shock and immediately rushed toward her. Mrs Jiang was the first to reach out his hand, ready to attack her with her hand raised to slap her cheek.
AiLin stared at the movement that felt so slow and then grabbed the wrist in a tight grip.
She frowned. Who knew the woman who she feared so much since her childhood was such a small and weak old woman now? Her hands moved so slow and that hand wouldn't hurt more than a fly. She scoffed before pulling Mrs Jiang by her hand, "Don't you think it's extremely rude for you to raise your hand on your own guest?"
Mrs Jiang was trembling with anger. She usually could easily slap AiLin but why— why was she now so strong?!
"Why?" AiLin's smile disappeared slowly. She then raised her left hand and landed a loud slap that made everyone shiver in pain. They all could feel as if their own cheeks had been slapped by AiLin and now was burning in the pain all just by hearing the noise. Mrs Jiang had fell on the ground before AiLin grinned, "Oh no! Are you alright?"
"YOU— YOU SLAPPED ME!"
Mr Jiang didn't dare to step forward as he saw the glint on AiLin's eyes when he was about to help his wife. He cowered and instead pointed his hand to the staff, "Call the police! Call them now! Someone had just slapped my wife— this is assault!"
"Call them," AiLin said confidently, "I will also tell them that not only did I was about to be slapped by Mrs Jiang and had only protected myself, I had also been accused into breaking someone's birthday alcohol?"
Jiang NianNian snapped her eyes at Wan GouRu. This wench how couldn't she realized the woman who had bumped to her was none other than AiLin?!
Trying to gather her composure from between the fear, Jiang NianNian questioned why AiLin was here— how could she come here. She then questioned why AiLin had came with the gown that Li ZiChen had bought?!
"You think anyone would believe you?!" Wan GouRu snapped angrily. She didn't know why Jiang Family was so scared as she didn't recognize AiLin yet but she realized that if she could defend Mrs Jiang for being slapped by this weird woman, she would be seen as a member of their own family. "You were the one who had bumped into me!"
"And how can we believe that your words are true? You can lie you know. I can tell you are someone who loves to weave lies," AiLin pointed. She had stepped away and while others thought she was about to run away, she had instead pulled a chair and sat down, taking the chairs that Jiang NianNian was supposed to sit at so she would appear as if she was sitting at the throne. But now the throne had been taken away by AiLin.
"Then how can someone believe you?" Wan GouRu retorted, "We might not have a witness but I have more credibility than you."
"Credibility, haha," AiLin nod and turned at them with a cold expression. "I also am a person with credbility. But I don't go around yelling people to trust me because I believe I am innocent."
Angered by how AiLin quickly turned the guests into doubting her, Wan GouRu who had seen the gazes of people around her turning skeptical became hasty. She pointed her hand forward, "Then can YOU give us an evidence? A witness?"
"No but can you?" AiLin responded back. "You don't have a witness or evidence don't you?"
Everyone in the Jiang Family had frozen as they were smacked by AiLin's appearance thus they were just staring at the scene in front of them holding their breath tight in their lungs. AiLin reached out her hand and outstretched them, "Tell me if I really broke the bottle of alcohol, do you have any evidence?"
Wan GouRu slowly turned to Jiang NianNian who was now glaring at AiLin. Jiang NianNian ordered under her breaths, "Make sure she's in trouble for this one!"
Receiving the green light, Wan GouRu immediately responded with a sigh, "I do have evidence! Look at here, my dress. It's all from the alcohol that was broken. You bumped to me on purpose so most of the alcohol is only spilled on my dress."
AiLin stared at Wan GouRu before she raised her left eyebrow, "That's an evidence you say, Wan GouRu?"
Wan GouRu didn't understand why she suddenly felt dreadful upon hearing AiLin calling her name. It was as if she had just heard a grim reaper calling out to her name to announce her death.
AiLin stood up and the Jiang Family stepped down from the stage. She chuckled seeing this and Mrs Jiang's face turned red immediately. She pointed to Wan GouRu. "Let's say that I really bumped to you and that alcohol spillage will prove that I did bump to you. Do you know that the alcohol that was used for tonight's party is champagne? Not just any champagne but an expensive one at that."
"Of course I do. Smell it, it's champagne!"
AiLin raised her hand and pulled her own dress, "Smell this," Wan GouRu stopped at her heels not wanting to move. AiLin sighed and pulled her by the neck and then pushed her on her knees. She then pressed her dress to Wan GouRu's face, "Smell it. I tell you."
Wan GouRu suddenly felt too fearful to move as if this hand was going to choke her.
"What does it smell like?" AiLin demanded and she tightened her hand just enough for Wan GouRu to rush her answer.
"O- Orchids!"
"Yes," AiLin grinned happily, "Now smell your dress. I can smell it from afar just how cheap it is. It has such a horrible stench isn't it? Well you can't blame yourself for having a champagne that smells THAT badly when it is so cheap."
Wan GouRu's face turned pale at once as she really had used a cheap champagne to make the spill on the dress to look even worse. But she didn't know it would backfire to her.
"You're lying!"
"Hey hey, the one with the tendency to lie is you. Look you just lied earlier so how can we trust more words that come from that filthy mouth of yours?" AiLin then looked at the guests who were mostly wealthy people who knew the alcohols they possess. She asked a question towards them, "Don't everyone here also know about the Champagne of Livia? It is the one kept for tonight's occasion, one made with the most sweetest fragrance of Orchid."
The guests immediately turned their eyes away. Some began to fearfully respond in a small voice, "Well..."
"It is true."
"Doesn't that mean Wan GouRu had lied then?"
"Now you told me earlier that you have credibility," AiLin lifted Wan GouRu's head by pulling the back of her hair, "But you are already lying here, Wan GouRu. So tell me if I can prove myself that I wasn't the one who bumped on you in purpose, what would you give me back as an apologies? Your money? Your eyes? Or... your life?" Threatened AiLin as her eyes had grew bolder and angrier. The anger she had been holding for six years never waned, instead it burned even stronger than before.
