Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 Not Bad

"Qingqing, is this the jerk you mentioned?" the wild woman asked.

Su Muqing nodded, having told her friend everything that had happened today, except for that absurd night, which her friend was well aware of. The woman with a wild vibe had a gentle name, Li Wenwan, but she was anything but gentle—quite formidable, in fact. After graduating, she had enlisted and had just returned home because she had been too aggressive on a mission and was instructed by her superiors to reflect on her actions.

Su Muqing absentmindedly nodded, feeling uneasy as she saw Xiao Han leave with Han Mengqi. Her heart was uncomfortable, and she couldn't cheer up.

She didn't like Xiao Han, at least not now. It was just that the impression from that one night was too profound. Now, seeing Xiao Han leave with another woman made her feel like someone had taken something of hers.

Seeing Su Muqing confirm her guess, Li Wenwan scoffed, "He really is a jerk." She was slightly resentful—they dared to call her dark-skinned when hers was a healthy complexion.

But looking at Su Muqing's pale, radiant face, as glossy as mutton-fat jade, her lips twitched slightly—she really did seem very dark in comparison.

"Alright, let's not think too much about it. After all, he and I are nothing. Let's quickly pick out stuff—I think that D-size fits better."

"That's too small," Li Wenwan's voice caused all the women around to envy her. Looking at their own fronts, they felt like crying.

Su Muqing was dumbstruck, asking enviously, "What do you eat to grow like that?"

Even Su Muqing, her good friend, began to envy Li Wenwan.

"Who knows? It's really troublesome—I'd rather they be smaller," Li Wenwan complained.

The women around them fainted with envy. This was outright bragging. If you don't want them, give them to me, some women shouted inwardly.

Su Muqing was speechless too, but she knew her friend was no ordinary person but a soldier, and having them so large really did impact movement.

The two women picked their items while Xiao Han and Han Mengqi walked out of the shopping mall.

"You haven't bought anything yet," Xiao Han couldn't help but point out.

Turning around, Han Mengqi stared seriously at Xiao Han and asked sternly, "What is your relationship with Miss Su? Don't tell me there's nothing between you two; I can feel that your relationship with Miss Su is not ordinary."

Relieved by her question, Xiao Han replied casually, "I thought you were talking about something serious. Little Qingqing is my main wife."

Han Mengqi was furious. This guy was married and still flirting with her—what did he think she was?

"If that's the case, go find your main wife," she said expressionlessly and turned to leave.

"You're my mistress. It's the same who I accompany," Xiao Han grabbed Han Mengqi, stating it as a fact.

He didn't see anything wrong with his actions. His master had told him that powerful men should have many wives. Xiao Han thought he was powerful enough, so having several wives was naturally not a problem.

"How can you be so shameless?" Han Mengqi couldn't help but curse. She had seen men who were flirts, but never one who took it for granted like this.

Xiao Han grinned, showing a neat row of teeth, bragging proudly, "You're mistaken—I have good teeth, not toothless."

Han Mengqi was dumbfounded and finally rolled her eyes helplessly. This man was invincible; his skin was thicker than city walls.

She walked ahead sulkily. Xiao Han didn't disturb Han Mengqi while she sulked, following her, but his eyes continuously scanned the women passing by on the street. Eventually, Xiao Han shook his head—he found these women too unattractive. His mistress was somewhat better-looking.

They walked like this for over half an hour until Xiao Han couldn't hold back anymore. He said to Han Mengqi, "Wife, I have something to do, so I'll go first."

Without waiting for Han Mengqi's response, Xiao Han left.

This left Han Mengqi dumbstruck. She watched Xiao Han's departing figure, nearly going mad from frustration. How irresponsible of this despicable man to just leave like that.

Without Xiao Han accompanying her, she didn't feel like wandering the streets any longer. She had just encountered an assassination attempt, and the bodyguards secretly following her didn't provide any sense of security. Han Mengqi walked to the school without stopping.

As for Xiao Han, he didn't actually go far; he went down an empty alley and then turned around.

A woman stood there, glaring fiercely at Xiao Han, her eyes brimming with evil Qi.

"Blackie, you've been following us for at least 15 minutes. I'm telling you, stop your wishful thinking. I will never like you—you're too dark; I could never like you," Xiao Han blurted out, infuriatingly.

Li Wenwan took a deep breath and revealed a cold smile, saying, "Keep talking, because in a moment, you might not have the chance."

"You want to kill me?" Xiao Han was somewhat surprised.

Li Wenwan scoffed, "I'm going to beat you until you can't take care of yourself."

"Ah, why bother," Xiao Han shook his head.

Hearing his words, Li Wenwan thought he regretted his actions. She disdainfully said, "That's typical of men, disgusting creatures, but it's too late for regrets now—I won't let you go."

Xiao Han had a strange look on his face, and he couldn't help but say, "You misunderstood me. I was saying that since you're so dark and ugly, why do you have to have such a fiery personality? Be gentler, or you might end up not getting married."

"Bullshit."

Li Wenwan truly lost her temper this time. She hadn't expected that at this moment, Xiao Han would dare to say such a thing. She was nearly driven to rage.

Without hesitating, she charged over and punched Xiao Han in the face.

Li Wenwan believed that Xiao Han definitely couldn't dodge her punch. She knew her attack speed was top-notch even among their group.

"Thud."

A muffled sound, but Li Wenwan suddenly widened her eyes. Xiao Han stood there, unmoved, but his hand had caught her fist.

"How is this possible?" Li Wenwan couldn't believe it.

Soon after, she realized that this man was definitely not an ordinary person.

"Just who are you?" After struggling a bit without freeing her fist from Xiao Han's hand, Li Wenwan angrily asked.

Xiao Han smirked lazily and said, "Definitely not your husband anyway. You're too dark for me. I'm not interested."

Hearing Xiao Han's words, Li Wenwan exploded with frustration. This man was still emphasizing her darkness. He was definitely doing it on purpose. Li Wenwan was breathing heavily when she suddenly kicked swiftly towards a certain part of Xiao Han.

"Bang."

Xiao Han kicked out as well, colliding with Li Wenwan's foot. A great strength transferred over, causing Li Wenwan to cry out in pain. She felt as if the bones in her foot had cracked.

However, this only infuriated Li Wenwan more, and she threw herself at Xiao Han with abandon.

Xiao Han was taken aback, not expecting this woman to be so fierce. He instinctively pushed out his palm, but upon touching an astonishingly soft part, Xiao Han sharply recoiled, well aware of his own strength. This blow could have easily killed the woman.

Thinking this, he quickly pulled back his strength.

"You don't look that ugly now. How about becoming my wife?" Xiao Han suddenly changed his mind, thinking that having such a stunningly-figured woman by his side would ensure future happiness.

Moreover, he knew in his heart that although Li Wenwan was just a bit dark-skinned, she was absolutely a great beauty, with delicate features yet a wild aura, a truly unique charm.

"Go to hell."

Li Wenwan, not knowing where she got it from, suddenly pulled out an elegant handgun and aimed it straight at Xiao Han.

Just then, Xiao Han released his grip on Li Wenwan, quickly touched her face, and muttered, "Women who love guns aren't easy to handle."

With that, he dashed out of the alley, leaving before Li Wenwan could react.

Cold sweat beaded on Li Wenwan's forehead; Xiao Han was definitely not an ordinary person. The terrifying speed he displayed was something even their team leader lacked.

Thinking that she had ventured alone to provoke such a dangerous individual chilled her heart. Fortunately, nothing worse had happened.

"Just what kind of person are you?" She stared in the direction Xiao Han had left, her expression filled with suspicion. Such a man appearing beside Su Muqing was not a good sign.

Moreover, remembering how he had teased her, Li Wenwan couldn't help but grit her teeth, vowing to make this man pay.

After all the ruckus, Xiao Han's stomach growled audibly, reminding him that he had skipped lunch after breakfast.

Touching his flat stomach, Xiao Han walked into a small diner.

After eating his fill, Xiao Han walked out, but he was not happy as he faced a tragic reality: he was running out of money.

Counting the money in his hand: thirteen dollars and twenty cents, just enough for tomorrow's breakfast.

"I won't starve to death, will I?" Xiao Han thought, distressed.

He inwardly blamed his master, the old guy, for sending him into the Mortal World with so little money. Just a few days in, and it was completely spent.

As Xiao Han sighed to the sky, a broken bowl was extended towards him.

Struggling internally for a long time, Xiao Han finally placed the thirteen dollars and twenty cents into the bowl.

"Thank you." Seeing Xiao Han's "generous" donation, the elderly beggar immediately expressed his gratitude cheerfully.

It was only after the beggar had walked away that Xiao Han couldn't help but burst into tears. That was the money for his breakfast. Making money was now a necessity; otherwise, Xiao Han was sure he would starve to death.
