Mateo's POV
Why was she crying? I heard what she said but I couldn't process what would make her cry this way.
I continued driving because we were close to the restaurant. After ten minutes, I parked in the restaurant and brought my handkerchief out.
"Here, baby girl," I handed it to her. "Don't cry again," I didn't have a reason to tell her not to cry.
Women loved crying and I still can't comprehend why they were so fragile and easily triggered. I couldn't even remember the last time I cried this much.
Valerie collected the handkerchief from me but instead of using it to wipe her tears, she began to sniff the smell of it.
"What are you doing?" I simply asked her because I was starting to think that she was an animal in a human's body. I was stunned by her action so much that it affected my brain cells.
"It smells good," she explained.
"That's how I smell, what's new about it?"
