Mateo's POV
It took me a long time to get to the hospital because I was busy arranging Valerie's room and didn't even know when it became noon. I had to get something to eat and went to the mall to get something I believed would look good on her.
The dress she wore last time was not pretty and I hated it so I had to get her something better. I never expected Valerie to overreact this way when she wore the dress.
She looked exhilarated as she approached me after changing her dress, and the next thing I knew, she was tangling around me and thanking me non-stop because of the dress I got for her.
If only she knew how cheap the dress was. I do not have any clothes as cheap as the one she was wearing so I told her not to count it as anything because it's the cheapest I've ever bought for anyone.
Valerie appreciated that even after I told her it meant nothing to me. Now she came close to me and kissed my cheek again.
