Chapter 25 - Chapter Twenty Five

Atticus hung up after hearing Martin's approval and slid his phone back into his pocket. Since his driver was gone, he decided to take a cab to Green's Eatery. It took the driver fifteen minutes to arrive at the eatery. After paying the driver, he alighted from the car and entered the restaurant before walking up to the receptionist.

"Mr. Sawyer, Mr. Kieran reserved a space for both of you over there," a lady in her twenties informed Atticus as he approached her, beaming with smiles.

"Oh," he pouted before walking in the direction pointed out by the receptionist.

He made sure to remain calm before calling out, "Mr. Martin, I thought you would turn down—"

"Why should I? Even though I am against you and Sabrina's marriage, you are still my son-in-law," Martin replied, a smug grin on his face.

Atticus's lips tilted into a dark smile at Martin's words. "Son-in-law? Is that what they call the husband of an adopted daughter?" He asked before sitting down.
