Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Mysterious billionaire

The next day, Tyler woke up feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the day. He completed his morning chores and then took his wife, Madison, to work using his e-bike. As they rode through the streets, the wind blowing through their hair, Madison smiled and leaned into him, feeling grateful for this quiet moment together.

After dropping Madison off at the Jackson Group, Tyler headed to his company, Ace Co-operation. As he walked through the doors, the workers greeted him respectfully, nodding their heads and saying "Good morning, sir" as he passed their workstations. Daisy Young had warned them to always show respect when Tyler was around, and they took her warning seriously as she fired the receptionist who was rude towards Tyler on his first day coming to the company.

In his office, Tyler summoned Daisy and began to discuss his latest plan. "Daisy, I want to build a six-star hotel in Orange County. It'll be the first of its kind, and I want to make it a game-changer."

Daisy's eyes widened with excitement. "That sounds incredible, sir! But aren't most hotels only five-star?"

Tyler nodded. "Exactly. That's why I want to push the boundaries. And here's the thing - I want all building and decorating companies in town to participate, regardless of their class level. I want to give everyone an equal chance to be a part of this project."

Daisy's eyes sparkled with understanding. "You're doing this for the Jackson Group, aren't you, sir? You want to give them a chance to participate without being pushed out by the bigger companies."

Tyler smiled. "You know me too well, Daisy. Yes, that's exactly why I'm doing this. Now, I want you to announce the change of power in the company, but I want you to keep my identity hidden for now. Just say that the CEO's name is Wales, and leave it at that."

"Yes sir" Daisy replied.

"Now, I need a report on last week's company operations," Tyler continued, his tone shifting back to business. "I want to know everything that's been happening, from sales to marketing to any new developments."

Daisy nodded and began typing away on her tablet. "I'll have it ready for you within the hour, sir."

Tyler stood up, his eyes scanning the room. "Good. Lastly, I want you to know that I won't be coming to the company often. I'll be giving you orders and directives, but I'm leaving the day-to-day operations in your capable hands. You're in charge here, Daisy. Make sure everything runs smoothly."

Daisy's face lit up with a mix of surprise and determination. "I won't let you down, sir. I'll make sure Ace Co-operation continues to thrive under my care."

Tyler walked around the office, his eyes scanning the space with a critical gaze. "Daisy, I don't like the present design of this office. It's too...sterile. I want something more modern, more sleek. Can you call someone to come in and change it to my taste?"

Daisy nodded, already typing away on her phone. "I'll call our interior designer, sir. She'll be here within the hour to discuss the changes with you."

Tyler nodded, pleased. "Good. Now, I want to personally supervise the company's operations for the day. I want to see everything that's going on, from the sales calls to the marketing strategies. Let's get started."

Daisy smiled, falling into step beside him as they made their way through the office. Together, they spent the day reviewing reports, meeting with employees, and discussing new initiatives. Tyler was impressed with Daisy's knowledge and expertise, and he found himself relying on her more and more as the day went on.

As the clock struck four pm, Tyler glanced at his watch and nodded. "I think that's enough for today, Daisy. I'll leave you to handle things from here. Keep me updated on any developments, and don't hesitate to reach out if you need anything."

Daisy nodded, walking him to the door. "I will, sir. Thank you for the guidance today. It's been enlightening."

Tyler smiled, clapping her on the back. "Anytime, Daisy. You're doing a great job. Keep it up." With that, he turned and left the office, heading home to his wife, Madison.

Here's the continuation:

As Tyler drove home, he passed by P-Gems, a luxurious jewelry store. He thought about his wife, Madison, and how she deserved something truly special. He decided to step inside and find her the perfect piece.

The store's interior was sleek and modern, with rows of glittering jewels on display. Tyler's eyes scanned the cases, and his gaze landed on a stunning pink-stoned diamond necklace. It was the most exquisite piece in the store, and he knew Madison would love it.

He called over a salesperson, a friendly young woman with a warm smile. "I'll take this one," Tyler said, pointing to the necklace.

The sales girl's eyes widened, and she hesitated for a moment before saying, "That's our most expensive piece, sir. It's $100,000."

Tyler nodded, pulling out his wallet. "I'll pay for it."

Just as the sales girl was about to ring up the purchase, a rude voice cut in. "What do you think you're doing, Emily?"

The sales girl looked up nervously at her manager, Janet, who was glaring at Tyler with disdain. "This...man can't afford that necklace," Janet sneered, eyeing Tyler's casual clothes. "He's not worthy of it."

Tyler's face darkened with anger. "Excuse me? Is there preferential treatment in this store? Do you only sell to people who dress a certain way?"

Janet smirked. "We cater to a high-end clientele, sir. And you...don't fit the profile."

Tyler's eyes narrowed, his temper flaring. "I'll have you know, I can afford this necklace and much more. And I'll make sure to take my business elsewhere if this is how you treat customers."

Janet's smirk grew wider as she mocked Tyler. "Oh, really? You think you can afford this necklace? I doubt it. You look like you can barely scrape together a hundred dollars, let alone a hundred thousand."

The store's patrons and employees began to gather, drawn in by the escalating drama. They watched with a mix of fascination and horror as Janet continued to belittle Tyler.

"Unless you can bring in thirteen million dollars in cash, right now, you're not worthy of this gem," Janet sneered, her voice dripping with contempt. "And even then, I'm not sure we'd want to sell it to someone like you."

The crowd gasped, shocked by Janet's audacity. Tyler's face burned with anger, but he kept his cool, his eyes locked on Janet.

"I see," Tyler said, his voice low and even. "So, it's not just about the money, is it? It's about who you deem worthy. Well, let me tell you something, Janet or whatever they call you, I'll have you know that I can buy this entire store, cash, and still have money left over. But I won't. Because I don't want to give you the satisfaction. But even at that I can fulfill your petty wish"

Tyler pulled out his phone and dialed a number, his eyes fixed on Janet. "Jenkins, are you in town?" he asked, his voice firm.

"I'm at the Grand Hotel, just a few blocks away from P-Gems," Jenkins replied.

"Bring thirteen million dollars in cash to P-Gems in twenty minutes," Tyler instructed.

Janet snorted, rolling her eyes. "Oh, please, you're just making a fake call to try and impress us. You think you can just conjure up thirteen million dollars out of thin air?"

Tyler smiled calmly. "Calm down, miss. We'll know who's boss in twenty minutes."

The crowd murmured, intrigued by the exchange. Janet's smirk faltered for a moment, but she quickly regained her composure.

"I'm shaking in my boots," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

Tyler just chuckled and leaned against the counter, his eyes fixed on the door. "We'll see about that," he said, his voice confident.

The clock ticked down, and the tension in the room grew. Would Jenkins arrive with the cash, or was Tyler just bluffing? The crowd waited with bated breath to find out.

Exactly twenty minutes later, about fourteen sleek Rolls-Royce pulled up in front of the store, and a middle-aged man, flanked by menacing-looking bodyguards, stepped out. The bodyguards carried large bags of money, which they brought into the store.

The crowd gasped in unison as the middle-aged man, clearly Jenkins, approached Tyler. But what happened next left everyone stunned.

Jenkins stopped in front of Tyler and bowed deeply, his head almost touching the floor. "Young Master," he said, his voice low and respectful.

The store fell silent, with all eyes fixed on the scene unfolding before them. Janet's jaw dropped, her face pale with shock.

Tyler smiled, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "Ah, Jenkins. Right on time, as always."

Jenkins straightened, his expression serious. "I brought the thirteen million dollars, Young Master. As instructed."

The bodyguards placed the bags of money on the counter, and Jenkins opened one, revealing stacks of crisp, hundred-dollar bills.

The crowd erupted into chaos, with people whispering and pointing. Janet looked like she had been punched in the gut, her eyes wide with disbelief.

"Who is this man?" someone whispered.

"Who do you think he is?" another person asked.

Tyler turned to Janet

" are you satisfied now?"

Janet couldn't say anything.she was just dumbstrucked.

Tyler just smiled, his eyes never leaving Janet. "I think it's time we left, don't you, Jenkins?"

Jenkins nodded, and together, they walked out of the store, leaving a trail of shock and awe in their wake.

Janet, still trying to process the sudden turn of events, approached Tyler as he made his way out with a forced smile.

"I, uh, I think we can offer you a special deal on the necklace, sir. A discount, perhaps?"

Tyler's expression turned cold, his eyes flashing with anger.

"You're recognizing me now, after the humiliation you gave me? You think a simple apology and a discount will make up for it?"

Janet took a step back, her eyes darting nervously to Jenkins. "I, uh, I didn't mean to offend you, sir."

Jenkins, sensing Tyler's anger, stepped forward. "What happened, Young Master?" he asked, his voice low and menacing.

Tyler filled him in on the details, and Jenkins' expression darkened with each passing moment. When Tyler finished, Jenkins pulled out his phone and dialed a number.

"Dog," Jenkins growled into the phone. "Get to P-Gems immediately in the next ten minutes. If you value your life, you won't keep me waiting."

The person on the other end of the line must have responded, because Jenkins' expression turned even more sinister. "I don't care about your excuses. You have ten minutes. If you're not here by then, you'll be begging for mercy."

Jenkins hung up the phone and turned to Tyler. "It seems we have a bit of a situation here, Young Master. But don't worry, I'll take care of it."

Not too long after Presley Kilens, the owner of P-Gems, arrived at the store in a sleek Mercedes Benz 540, his face flushed with anxiety. He had received a cryptic message from Jenkins, the butler of the Wales family, and he knew better than to ignore it.

As he stepped out of the car, he adjusted his suit and hurried into the store. His eyes scanned the room, taking in the tense atmosphere, before locking onto Jenkins, who was standing tall, his expression stern.

Presley's gaze then shifted to Tyler, who was standing beside Jenkins, his eyes fixed intently on him. He also noticed Janet, who was standing frozen in fear, and the rest of the staff, who were all watching the scene unfold.

Presley's mind raced as he tried to piece together what was happening. He had no idea why Jenkins was here or what the young man besides him role was in all this.

"Jenkins, what's going on?" Presley asked, his voice laced with concern.

Jenkins' expression didn't change, but his voice was firm. "First, you'll need to know what your manager, Janet, did to my friend here Tell me, Presley, do you know what happened here today?"

Presley's eyes darted to Janet, who was still frozen in fear, before returning to Jenkins. "N-no, I don't know. What did she do?"

Jenkins' eyes narrowed. "Janet humiliated my friend here, and not only that she questioned his ability to pay for a necklace, and mocked him in front of the entire store. And now, she's trying to curry favor with him?"

As Jenkins spoke, Tyler leaned in close, whispering his identity in Presley's ear. Presley's eyes widened in shock, and he took a step back, his face pale.

"Oh no, oh no, oh no," Presley muttered, his eyes fixed fearfully on Tyler. "I had no idea. I'm so sorry, Young Master."

Jenkins' expression was unyielding. "Sorry isn't enough, Presley. You'll need to make it right. And that's just the beginning."

"Am deeply sorry" Presley begged

Tyler's eyes narrowed. "Sorry isn't enough, Presley. I want to make sure this mess is cleared up once and for all."

Presley nodded frantically. "I understand, Young Master. Please, accept my sincerest apologies."

Without prompting, Presley turned to a nearby salesperson. "Give the Young Master the necklace. It's on the house."

The salesperson looked surprised but hurried to retrieve the necklace and handed it to Tyler, who took it with a nod.

Then, Tyler turned to Jenkins, who nodded slightly. Tyler poured the money Jenkins had brought onto Janet's body, covering her in stacks of cash.

Janet's eyes widened in shock and humiliation as Tyler spoke, his voice cold. "You should have thought of this before you humiliated me."

Jenkins stepped forward, his eyes glinting with warning. "Remember, Janet, you never know who someone is or what they're capable of. Never humiliate anyone again."

With that, Tyler turned and left the store through the back door as he as usual don't want unusual attention on him, Jenkins following closely behind. Presley watched them go, still trying to process the events that had just transpired.Who would have thought he would be this close to death just because of a silly mistake of one of his staff. And with this Presley's face turned red with rage as he turned to Janet. "You foolish woman," he spat. "You humiliated that young man without knowing his background at all, and now you'll pay the price."

Janet cowered as Presley approached her, his fists clenched. He began to beat her mercilessly, his bodyguards and others watching in silence.

"How dare you embarrass me like that?" Presley shouted, his anger unrelenting. "You're finished, Janet. You're fired!"

Janet begged for mercy, tears streaming down her face. "Please, boss, give me a second chance! I'll do anything!"

But Presley was unforgiving. "Get her out of my sight," he snarled to his bodyguards.

They dragged Janet away, still pleading for forgiveness, as Presley watched with a satisfied smirk. "You are done for I will see to it that you never work in this town again," he vowed.

With that, Janet was thrown out of the store, her career in tatters. Presley's anger had been satiated, but the consequences of Janet's actions would linger.

As they stepped out of the store, Jenkins gestured to the Rolls-Royce waiting by the curb. "Young Master, please, join me in the car. It's not fitting for someone of your status to be riding an electric bike."

Tyler smiled, shaking his head. "I'm okay, Jenkins. I like keeping a low profile in public. The electric bike is perfect for that."

Jenkins raised an eyebrow. "But, Young Master, you deserve better. Let me buy you a car that befits your status. A Bentley, perhaps, or a Ferrari?"

Tyler chuckled. "No, Jenkins, really. I'm fine with the electric bike. It's...unassuming. And it allows me to move freely without drawing attention to myself."

Jenkins nodded, though he looked unconvinced. "Very well, Young Master. But if you change your mind, please don't hesitate to ask."

Tyler nodded, swinging his leg over the electric bike. "I will, Jenkins. Thanks for understanding."

With that, Tyler rode off into the crowd, leaving Jenkins to watch him go with a mixture of admiration and concern.

Tyler arrived home and the sweet smell of good food filled his nose.He walked into the cozy kitchen, where his wife, Maddie, was busy cooking dinner. She smiled as he approached, and he wrapped his arms around her waist, helping her stir the pot.

"Hey, how was your day?" Maddie asked, leaning into his embrace.

Tyler shrugged, playing it cool. "It was fine. Just the usual."

Maddie raised an eyebrow but said nothing more. They finished cooking together, then sat down to enjoy their meal. After saving some for their parents, they settled in on the couch to watch a romantic movie.

As they snuggled up together, Maddie filled Tyler in on her day, telling him about the deal proposal from the Ace Cooperation. Tyler listened attentively, pretending he knew nothing about it.

"So, what do you think?" Maddie asked, looking at him with excitement. "Should we consider partnering with them?"

Tyler shrugged, feigning indifference. "I don't know, what do you think? You're the business expert."

Maddie laughed, playfully rolling her eyes. "You're always so humble, but I know you're a genius in your own way."

Tyler smiled, feeling grateful for his wife's love and support. He knew he had to keep his involvement in the deal a secret, at least for now. But he was happy to let Maddie think she was the one calling the shots.

Tyler asked, "Does the Jackson group want in on this project too?"

Maddie nodded, "Yes, they want a piece of the cake. They think it's a lucrative opportunity, and they don't want to miss out."

Tyler raised an eyebrow, "And what about you? Will you be handling the project?"

Maddie's expression turned uncertain, "I'm not sure. Old Lady Jackson always favors Harry, even though he doesn't know the first thing about business. It's frustrating, because I know I'm the better choice for this project."

Tyler's eyes narrowed, "Harry, as in, your cousin Harry?"

Maddie nodded, "The same one. He's always been the golden child, and it's annoying. But I'm not giving up. I'll make sure to present a solid case to Old Lady Jackson, and hopefully, she'll see sense."

Tyler smiled, "I have no doubt you will. You're an amazing businesswoman, and you deserve this opportunity."

Maddie smiled back, "Thanks for the vote of confidence, dear."

As they continued watching the movie, Tyler made a mental note to tell Daisy to look into giving the deal to the Jackson group. He wanted to support his wife's career and make her happy.

As the romantic movie played on, the tension between them grew. They snuggled closer, hands touching, and eyes locked on each other. The chemistry was palpable.

Before long, they were making out, lost in the moment. The movie faded into the background as they surrendered to their desires.

As the night wore on, they fell asleep on the couch, wrapped in each other's arms. The TV hummed in the background, the movie forgotten.

Tyler smiled to himself, feeling grateful for the love they shared. He knew he'd do anything to support Maddie's dreams, even if it meant pulling strings behind the scenes.

As they slept, Tyler's mind whirled with plans to make the deal happen. He'd talk to Daisy tomorrow, and they'd make it a reality. For Maddie, he'd move mountains.

The sound of the front door opening broke the silence. Maddie's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jackson, walked into the living room, surprised to see the young couple asleep on the couch, wrapped in each other's arms.

Mrs. Jackson's eyes widened in shock, and she quickly woke them up, scolding Tyler. "Tyler, what are you doing? Taking advantage of my child like this?"

Maddie rubbed her eyes, confused, while Tyler tried to explain. "Mom, it's not like that..."

But Mrs. Jackson wouldn't listen. "I won't have you corrupting my daughter like this!"

Mr. Jackson, however, chuckled and intervened. "Leave them be, dear. Let them enjoy their youth. They're in love. And besides they are a married couple, so let them fulfill their marriage obligations towards each other"

Mrs. Jackson turned to her husband, quarreling. "You're always so lenient! You need to set boundaries!"

As the argument escalated, Maddie and Tyler exchanged a knowing glance. They quickly gathered their clothes and made a discreet exit, leaving the older couple to their debate.

Once in their room, Maddie giggled. "Well, that was awkward."

Tyler grinned, pulling her close. "Worth it, though."

Maddie smiled, snuggling into his embrace. "Definitely."
