Tyler and Maddie decided to escape the drama at home by spending the next day at the beach. They packed a picnic lunch and set off early, eager to soak up in the sun and enjoy each other's company.
As they arrived at the beach, they were greeted by the sound of seagulls and the smell of saltwater. They spent the morning building sandcastles, collecting seashells, and laughing together. Tyler even tried his hand at surfing, wiping out in a spectacular fashion that left Maddie in stitches.
After a relaxing day at the beach, they returned home, feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
Monday morning dawned bright and early. Tyler woke up before the rest of the household and began tackling the house chores, a routine he had grown accustomed to since moving in with Maddie's family. He loaded the dishwasher, vacuumed the living room, and even cooked breakfast for everyone.
Once the chores were done, he hopped on his e-bike, with Maddie perched behind him, and pedaled her to work. The wind whipped through their hair as they glided through the quiet streets, enjoying the crisp morning air.
After dropping Maddie off, Tyler continued on to the Ace Co-operations building, his heart racing with excitement and a hint of nerves. Today was his first day as CEO, and he was ready to take on the challenge.
As he arrived at the building, he was greeted by the sleek, modern exterior and the bustling energy of the employees inside. Tyler took a deep breath, feeling a sense of pride and responsibility wash over him. He was ready to make his mark and prove himself as a capable leader.
Tyler parked his e-bike and walked towards the office building, but on his way there he was confronted by Kate and her fiancé, Fred Wantons. They both came in a white Porsche drive by Fred obviously and wore rich clothes of the latest fashion in town. They sneered at him, and Fred said, "Well, well, well, look what we have here. The great Tyler, coming to Ace Co-operation looking like he just rolled out of bed."
Kate chimed in, "Yes, what's with the shabby dress code? You look like you're applying for a job at a fast-food joint, not a prestigious company like Ace Co-operation."
Fred snickered, "Speaking of which, did you come here to find a job? Maybe we can use our connections with Daisy Young, the Vice Chairman, to get you a position...as a toilet cleaner, perhaps?"
Tyler's face remained calm, but his eyes flashed with annoyance. "What I'm here to do is none of your business. And Ace Co-operation wouldn't cooperate with garbage like you anyway."
With that, Tyler turned on his heel and left Kate and Fred stunned, their mocking smiles frozen on their faces. He walked into the building, his head held high, ready to take on his new role as CEO.
As Tyler entered the reception area, the receptionist looked him up and down, her expression disdainful. "Can I help you?" she asked, her tone dripping with condescension.
"I'm here to see the Vice Chairman," Tyler replied, his confidence unwavering.
The receptionist raised an eyebrow. "You? Really? You look like you're here to apply for a janitorial position."
Tyler's face remained calm, but his eyes flashed with annoyance. "I said, I'm here to see the Vice Chairman."
The receptionist snickered, and the atmosphere in the room grew tense. Kate and Fred, still lingering outside, began to snicker and whisper to each other, enjoying the spectacle.
Just as the situation was about to escalate, Jenkins appeared, his presence commanding attention. "What seems to be the issue here?" he asked, his voice firm but polite.
The receptionist hesitated, "This...person wants to see the Vice Chairman."
Jenkins nodded, "Ah, Mr. Tyler. Right this way, please."
This respectful gesture by Jenkins towards Tyler made everyone at the reception area stunned.Like who's this dude so shabbily dressed that caught the attention of a big man like that?
While this was still happening Jenkins led Tyler through the elevator to the Chairman's office, leaving the receptionist and the Wantons' mocking gazes behind.
Inside the office, Daisy Young, the Vice Chairman, greeted Tyler with a warm smile. "Ah, Mr. Tyler, welcome. My name is Daisy young and i trust you're ready for the handover process?"
Tyler nodded, and Jenkins handed him a folder containing the necessary documents. As they began the process, Tyler felt a sense of pride and accomplishment wash over him. He was finally taking control of his destiny. This only took a few minutes and the ceremony was over.
Daisy then gives Tyler a detailed explanation of the company's operations so far.
This also took a few minutes
After she was done,Tyler smiled at Daisy, "I must say, I'm impressed with your work ethics. Jenkins has briefed me on your outstanding performance and how you've risen through the ranks to become Vice Chairman at such a young age. You're an inspiration."
Daisy's face lit up with pride, "Thank you, Mr. Tyler. I'm passionate about my work and committed to excellence."
Tyler nodded, "I can see that. And I'm pleased to inform you that you'll remain Vice Chairman until I say otherwise. Your leadership skills and expertise are invaluable to this company."
Daisy thanked him, then began briefing him on the company's business report, "Our quarterly profits are up 15% due to strategic investments and cost-cutting measures. We've also expanded our market share in the tech industry and formed key partnerships with major players."
Tyler listened intently, asking insightful questions and making thoughtful comments. Daisy was impressed by his business acumen and willingness to learn.
As the discussion progressed, Tyler asked about challenges facing the company. Daisy mentioned potential disruptions in the supply chain and increasing competition from rival firms.
Tyler nodded thoughtfully, "I see. We'll need to diversify our supply chain and innovate our products to stay ahead of the competition. I'd like to schedule a meeting with the R&D team to explore new ideas."
Daisy nodded, making a note on her pad. "I'll arrange that, Mr. Tyler. Anything else you'd like to discuss?"
Tyler smiled, "Not for now, Daisy. You've done an excellent job. Keep up the good work."
Tyler's expression suddenly turned stern, as he remembers something
"Daisy, I just remembered something. Outside, I was mocked by Kate Jackson and Fred Wantons. What's the company's relationship with them?"
Daisy's expression turned cautious, "The Wantons family is one of our key business partners, Mr. Tyler. They're bidding on a project that could bring in two billion dollars for us."
Tyler's eyes narrowed, "I don't care about the money. I want you to cancel the contract with them. I don't want Ace Co-operation to ever cooperate with garbage like them."
Daisy's eyes widened, "Mr. Tyler, I understand your sentiment, but we need to consider the business implications—"
Tyler cut her off, "I don't care about the implications. I want them out of our business. And I want them out of my building right now!!."
Daisy nodded, "Yes, Mr. Tyler. I'll take care of it."
Tyler's voice rose, "And tell security that I said I don't want to see their faces around here again."
Daisy nodded and quickly picked up the phone and dialed her secretary's line.
"Please escort Kate and Fred Wantons off the premises. They're no longer welcome at Ace Co-operation."
As she hung up the phone, Tyler's expression turned cold, "I want to make it clear that I won't tolerate disrespect and arrogance. We'll build our business on integrity and values, not on partnerships with people who think they're above everyone else."
Jenkins nodded in agreement, "I couldn't agree more, Mr. Tyler. You're right to stand up against disrespect and arrogance."
He then turned to Daisy, "And now, I think it's time I introduced our new CEO properly. Daisy, this is Tyler Wales, the young master of the Wales family."
Daisy's eyes widened in shock, her mouth agape. "The Wales family? As in, one of the richest families in the US?"
Tyler nodded, his expression serious. "Yes, that's right. And I want to make it clear that my identity is not to be revealed to the public. I want to keep a low profile and lead this company without the influence of my family's name."
Daisy's eyes sparkled with understanding, "I promise, Mr. Tyler. Your secret is safe with me. I won't breathe a word."
Tyler's expression softened, "Thank you, Daisy. I appreciate your discretion. Let's keep this between us and move forward with the company's vision."
Jenkins nodded, "I'll make sure the rest of the staff is briefed on the need for confidentiality. Welcome to the team, Mr. Tyler. We're glad to have you on board."
As the meeting concluded, Daisy couldn't help but steal glances at Tyler, her mind racing with the implications of his identity. She had never imagined that her new CEO would be a member of the illustrious Wales family.
Meanwhile at the reception Fred and Kate seethed with anger as they were denied access to see the Vice Chairman. They began to cause a ruckus making the receptionist scared.
But suddenly, Daisy's secretary appeared, a polite smile on her face.
"I'm afraid I have a message from our new CEO, Tyler...I mean, from Miss Daisy," she said, handing them a note with Daisy's name on it.
Fred snatched the note, reading it aloud: "Ace Co-operation will never cooperate with garbage like you. Please leave the premises."
Kate's face turned red with rage. "How dare they! Who do they think they are?"
Fred's eyes widened as realization dawned. "Wait a minute...this is the same message that guy at the car park told us. Tyler, I think his name was."
Kate's eyes sparkled with shock. "That's impossible. How does he know the top bosses here?"
Fred's face twisted in confusion. "And what kind of relationship does he have with them? This doesn't make any sense."
The secretary cleared her throat, "I'm afraid I must ask you to leave now. You're no longer welcome here."
Still Fred and Kate refused to cooperate and they left the secretary no choice but to involve the security personnels.
But even at that Fred still refused to cooperate and tried using his families status to bully them. This made the secretary angry more but just as she was about to call the security guards Kate turned to Fred
"It's okay Fred let's drop it we can make out time to see vice chairman Daisy Young.
Fred gave in, but he was still not happy.
As they stormed out of the building, Fred and Kate couldn't stop wondering about Tyler's mysterious connection to Ace Co-operation's top executives. Who was this man, and how did he wield such power?
Outside the door of the co-operation, Fred turned to Kate, "What kind of relationship does your good-for-nothing brother-in-law have with Ace Co-operation? It's not possible for him to be in touch with the big bosses here."
Kate shook her head, "I don't know, Fred. But I'm sure it's just a coincidence."
Fred's face reddened, "I don't believe in coincidences. I'm going back in there to demand answers." He stormed back into the building, Kate following closely behind.
Daisy's secretary, seeing them re-enter, quickly called security. The head of security, a no-nonsense man, approached Fred and Kate. "I'm afraid I must ask you to leave. Now."
Fred sneered, "You can't talk to me like that. I'm Fred Wantons, scion of the Wantons family. You have no right to speak to me in such a manner."
The head of security's face turned red with anger, "In front of Ace Co-operation, who are you and your family's prestige? Nothing but a joke." He slapped Fred across the face, "You're just a spoiled brat who thinks the world revolves around him."
Fred's eyes widened in shock as the security team moved in, surrounding him and Kate. "Throw them out," the head of security ordered. "Forcefully, if necessary."
As they were dragged out of the building, Fred's face twisted in rage and humiliation. Kate struggled to keep up, her eyes flashing with anger and embarrassment.
Tyler finished his work for the day, signing the last document on his desk. He closed his office door and walked out to the parking lot, where his electric bike was waiting. He hopped on and headed to the Jackson Group to pick up his wife, Madison.
As he arrived, he noticed a crowd gathering outside the building. Curious, he pedaled closer to see what was happening. That's when he saw Perry Wendell, standing in front of Madison, looking aggressive.
"...leave him for good and marry me, Madison," Perry was saying, his voice raised. "You deserve better than a nobody like Tyler."
Madison looked uncomfortable, trying to reason with Perry. "Perry, stop this. I've told you before, I'm not interested."
Tyler's eyes narrowed, his grip on the bike's handlebars tightening. He didn't like seeing his wife harassed. He parked the bike and walked towards the crowd, his presence commanding attention.
"Perry, back off," Tyler said, his voice firm but calm.
Perry turned, a sneer on his face. "And who are you to tell me what to do? Just the live-in son-in-law of the Jacksons. You're nothing but a freeloader."
The crowd began to murmur, and Madison's face turned red with embarrassment. Tyler's eyes flashed with anger, but he kept his cool. "Perry, I said back off. Now."
Perry's face twisted in contempt. "You don't deserve someone like Madison. You're just a worthless orphan who should crawl back to the useless orphanage where you came from."
Tyler's eyes blazed with anger, but he kept his cool. Perry, however, continued to taunt him, getting down on one knee and pulling out a ring box.
"Madison, will you marry me? I can give you the life you deserve, not some fake happiness with this...this..." Perry spat at Tyler.
Madison's face turned red with embarrassment. "Perry, no! I already told you I'm not interested."
Tyler's anger boiled over, but he didn't let it consume him. Instead, he got down on one knee, pulling out a woven grass ring from his pocket.
"Madison, from the moment I met you, I knew you were the one for me. Will you marry me, again, and make me the happiest man alive?"
Madison's eyes welled up with tears as she nodded, "Yes, yes, a million times yes!"
Perry's face turned red with rage and humiliation. Tyler stood up, his eyes blazing with warning.
"Perry, stay away from my wife. Don't ever come near her again."
With that, Tyler turned to Madison and handed her the woven grass ring. She slipped it onto her finger, and Tyler helped her onto his electric bike.
As they drove away, Perry's angry shouts faded into the distance. Tyler smiled, feeling triumphant and happy. He knew he had proven his worth to Madison, and that's all that mattered.
As Tyler and Madison arrived home, Tyler's father-in-law, Mr. Jackson, approached him. "Tyler, can I have a word with you in private?"
But before Tyler could respond, his mother-in-law, Mrs. Jackson, intervened. "No, no, no! Whatever you want to discuss can wait. Tyler, where have you been all day? You left the house since morning and come back late. What kind of behavior is this?"
Tyler tried to explain, but Mrs. Jackson cut him off. "I don't care about your useless explanation.Go cook dinner! You're always leaving everything for Madison to do."
Madison stepped in, "Mom, that's not fair. You've been idle all day, why should Tyler cook? You should be the one cooking dinner."
Mrs. Jackson huffed, "How dare you! I'm your mother, I don't cook for anyone."
Madison stood firm, "Well, Dad wants to talk to Tyler, and I'll make dinner for the family. You can just sit down and relax."
Mrs. Jackson's tantrums continued, but Madison remained calm, showing her husband respect and support. Mr. Jackson nodded, "Thank you, Madison. Tyler, let's have our discussion."
As Madison headed to the kitchen, Mrs. Jackson's complaints faded into the background, and Tyler followed Mr. Jackson to have their private discussion.
Inside the bedroom, Mr. Jackson scolded Tyler calmly, "Tyler, I understand why you went to see Lady Jackson, but please, don't do it again. She'll only look down on you and our family, like she always does."
Tyler nodded, feeling a mix of emotions.
Mr. Jackson continued, "I want to help you, so take this." He handed Tyler an envelope containing $4,000. "For the fundraiser for Mrs. Flora."
Tyler's eyes widened, "Thank you, sir, but it's not necessary. I actually met someone who helped me understand that I don't need to rely on Lady Jackson's money."
Mr. Jackson's curiosity was piqued, "Oh? Who was that?"
Tyler shared the same story of the strange man who helped his guardian at the hospital, which he told his wife Maddie and Mr. Jackson listened, stunned.
"Good people like that still exist?" Mr. Jackson asked, his voice filled with wonder.
Tyler smiled, "Yes, they do."
The two men sat in silence for a moment, then Mr. Jackson changed the subject, "So, have you heard about the latest gossip? I heard Perry Wendell is still trying to win Madison"
Tyler rolled his eyes, "I'm not surprised. He's not going to give up easily. And since he won't back off neither would I as I love my wife so dearly."
Mr. Jackson chuckled, "Well, let's just say Madison is smart enough to see through him. Now, let's go join the ladies. I'm sure they're eager to hear about our conversation."
They quickly left the room and went straight to the dinning room to join the ladies for supper.
As they entered the dinner hall, Madison was setting the table, looking lovely in her evening attire. The aroma of spaghetti and meatballs filled the air, making Tyler's stomach growl with anticipation.
After dinner, Madison and Tyler retired to their bedroom, where Madison began to vent about her day. "Harry's been frustrating me again at the office. He's so condescending and unhelpful."
Tyler listened attentively, nodding along.
"And to make matters worse, the Jackson Group is looking for a new deal to boost their company accounts. I feel like I'm under so much pressure," Madison said, exasperated.
Tyler made a mental note to call Daisy, his Vice Chairman, to discuss how Ace Co-operation could potentially help the Jackson Group. He wanted to support his wife and alleviate some of her stress.
"I'll take care of it, Maddie. Don't worry," Tyler said, pulling her into a comforting embrace.
Madison smiled, feeling grateful for her husband's support. "Thanks, Tyler. Just knowing you're here for me makes me feel better."
As they hugged, Tyler thought about how he could leverage Ace Co-operation's resources to help the Jackson Group, and a plan began to form in his mind. He would call Daisy tomorrow and get to work on finding a solution.
Meanwhile at the Wantons Manor, Mr. Solomon Wantons was furious with his son, Fred Wantons. "You foolish boy! Because of your actions, Ace Co-operation has cancelled all business relations with us! Do you know how much that's going to cost us?"
Fred tried to defend himself, "But father, I didn't offend anyone there. I just wanted to see Daisy Young, and that security guard was being unreasonable."
Mr. Wantons' face turned red with rage. "Unreasonable? You call that unreasonable? You embarrassed me and our family in front of the entire Ace Co-operation! You're going to pay for this, Fred."
With that, Mr. Wantons raised his hand and struck Fred across the face, sending him stumbling backward. "You're going to learn to respect the family name and our business dealings. Now, get out of my sight before I do something worse!"
Fred, holding his cheek, retreated from the room, feeling both angry and humiliated. He couldn't believe his father's reaction and couldn't wait to get revenge on Tyler Wales, whom he blamed for his troubles.
