Day 1
A shuffle wakes me. How confusing, why would anyone be in my area?
I squint, it's no human but a large dog. No ordinary dog of course, a monster. Although quite weak.
At best, ranked E. The lowest rank of them all, yet no normal person could ever hope to beat it.
Luckily, many go their whole life without seeing a single monster. Unless they're an adventurer. But they don't live long.
Here though? In the ruins? It's quite normal to see them.
The more pressing matter is that it's scavenging in a dumpster. In most cases this would be fine, but this is MY dumpster.
I'm angry, but I can't do anything against this monster, no matter how weak.
So I simply nod and acknowledge it. It looks over, contemplating my scraggy appearance. It acknowledges my presence, but deems me not worthy as food.
And so, I go about my day.
Day 2
It's here again. The dog. I'll name it Ricky.
Perhaps I should move, Ricky's taken quite a liking to my dumpster.
Today's not worth getting up, and Ricky will probably stay here all day.
What a shame, I have lost my source of food, but moving seems like too much effort now.
So again, I fall asleep.
