[The first phase of the Holocaust is complete: survival]
[It moves to the 2nd phase of the Holocaust: Evolution]
[The world's mana is no longer restricted.]
[The universe will continue to expand.]
[The system blesses the dominant race in this world as retaliation for the first Holocaust]
Leo had heard the same words before, but the terror had clouded his mind, preventing him from recalling what the heavenly voice had said.
"Evolution." Perhaps it's the greatest word to characterize the impending changes in the world.
Leo fell unconscious, overwhelmed by the blue light enveloping him.
The blue mist spread across the entire planet at the same moment. As soon as the blue mist swept over the city, people started passing out. From the street roads to their offices, they were scattered all over the place.
Only Leo knew that the world was about to undergo a significant transformation upon his awakening.

After a few minutes of silence, a moan emerged from the quiet room. Leo slowly opened his eyes, the sharp pain in his head pulsating with each heartbeat. Thrilled, Leo got up from the bed, where he had been lying before the deadline.
"Status"
[Leonard Wright]
[Level: 0]
[Mana: 0]
[Strength: 8]
[Agility: 7]
[Stamina: 9]
[Intelligence: 11]
[Spirit: 0]
[Attribute points: 0]
[Survival Coins: 0]
[Class: none]
[Innate ability: regression]
A blue screen appeared before his eyes, as if by magic. His status included both game-like stats and skill-related information about him. Lives are fragile in this world, despite its game-like appearance.
Leo had no ability in his previous life, which is why he was astonished by his innate ability. People's Innate abilities granted them magical abilities, increasing their chances of surviving. He was weak in his past life due to his lack of Innate ability. He might have been among the weakest people on the planet at the time.
Feeling slightly disoriented, he focused on understanding his abilities.
[Regression]
[Level: None]
[Description: Lets the user travel back in time to a time before the Holocaust began. After a user passes away, it automatically activates. There is only one use for this Innate ability. It was hidden at first because of safety measures. Only the user is able to view it.]
"So that's the way it is. I have never believed that in my previous life, I possessed any special talent."
Leo was both happy and sad at the same time. Sad for squandering his first life, but happy to have been given another chance. Perhaps he would have made more preparations for the second life if he had known it earlier.
"I should get ready and get out of here." Leo thought about what he should do. He knew he had to make the most of it this time around. As he made plans for his second life, he couldn't help but feel a sense of determination and purpose. With a fresh sense of hope and motivation.
Leo quickly gathered essential survival items and kitchen tools, preparing for what lay ahead.
[You have a survival pack for beginners. Would you like to open it?]
"Yes." Leo eagerly opened the survival pack.
[The wooden bat received!]
[Wooden bat]
[Attack: 5-7]
[Durability: 6]
[Description: A cheap, unpolished weapon]
The wooden club materialized in his hands. He had previously thrown it away since it appeared to be a crude and pointless weapon. It was the only beginner-friendly weapon in the system, though. He had previously regretted it a great deal because it had been his only opportunity to get stronger.
"Ahhhhhh."
The scream came from the hallway of the dorm. Leo quickly grabbed the wooden bat tightly in his hands.
"It's already started. I should move quickly."
With haste, he exited the room and ran down the hallway toward the scream. Then he caught sight of it. A pupil was dissecting the body of a fellow pupil. The student consumed the corpse's flesh while blood and organs lay on the ground.
Leo noticed the familiar scene and grinned a little. These animals, also known as zombies, were among the world's weakest monsters. He lifted his savage club higher into the air and struck a zombie in the head with it.
"Fuck. I overlooked the fact that my stats are still too low to defeat him in a single blow." He groaned in frustration, realizing that he would have to increase his strength points in order to defeat the monsters.
Leo intended to defeat the hit student in one strike, but the student quickly rose from the ground and lunged at him. Because zombies did not move more slowly than humans, they were lethal to regular people.
But Leo was no ordinary person. For five years, he lived in a much scarier world, so in this context, he can be considered a veteran.
Leo took a tiny step to the right to avoid a zombie attack and hit the head of a carnivorous creature twice, causing his head to smash into a mess. A blue orb of light entered into Leo's body from the corpse of the monster.
[You have reached level 1].
[You've received two attribute points.]
"Assign two points to strength."
Leo made the decision to use his strength points to take out regular zombies with a single blow. Leo kills them by smashing their heads, even though it normally takes 12 points of strength to kill them in one motion. This is accomplished with the correct technique and force.
Ignoring the fact that zombies were once humans, their bones are weaker than those of humans because they are dead.
"aaaahh! Someone, please help! My room door is being smashed by a crazy bastard."
The scream came from the opposite side of the hallway. Leo hastily gathered the black coin that the dead monster had dropped and proceeded to beg for assistance.
[One survival coin has been collected.]
"Mother fuc*er, he will just draw more zombies from other rooms."
Another zombie was pounding on the door at the end of the hallway. The zombie's eyes gleamed fiercely as it noticed Leo approaching. It saw a new prey and raced towards him. With a deep breath, he prepared himself to face the oncoming threat head-on.
With a sly grin, Leo skillfully dodged the zombie's attack by changing direction at the last moment. With a single, fast blow, he split a zombie's head open like a watermelon.
The zombie dropped a black coin, and another orb of light entered his body. The corpse didn't magically vanish, so the scene wasn't like one from a game. It was only that black coin that materialized next to its lifeless corpse.
"Hey, calm down! You are safe now."
With a creak, the room's door opened to reveal a plump university student. He was dressed in jeans, round glasses, and a baggy superhero T-shirt.
"Many thanks, my friend! I was afraid he would actually storm into my room. And where had the madmen disappeared to break into my room?"
It appeared that Fatty was still afraid of the aggressive actions of a classmate.
"H-He is there on the floor, lying."
Leo showed him the defeated zombie's corpse. Fatty went white as a sheet upon seeing the headless body.
"Killer…! He is going to murder me! Help!"
Leo muffled Fatty's screams by covering his mouth with his hands to calm him down. He was screaming like a mad man. Fatty's eyes were wide with terror.
"You freakin idiot, lower your voice!" Leo whispered harshly, trying to keep Fatty quiet before someone heard them.
Leo then pushed the terrified fatty man into his room and shut the door, effectively silencing him. The dorm room was typical, featuring a worktable, a bathroom, and a single bed for its occupant. Leo let go of Fatty, deciding it was safe to do so.
"Please don't kill me! I can not pass away because I still haven't found a girlfriend."
"Damn fatty, nobody wants to kill you?"
Leo was taken aback by the forceful kick delivered by Fatty, which came as a surprise to him. Sadly, Fatty was unable to even avoid the kick that was boosted by ten points.
