Mark yelled after Lovely as she turned to go. "Lovely," he replied in a soft voice.
"I hope you find the happiness you deserve."
Lovely turned to look at Mark, lost from his words. Did he really mean it, or was it just a word, and he didn't mean it? To mask her current feelings, she smiled sincerely, showing how strong she had become.
"Mark, I already have. I'm happy. Thank you!"
She then left Mark and Grandmother Eleanor's world, as well as the demons of her past, behind.
She had accepted the life she had chosen for herself, her new identity, and her independence.
When she returned to Hollywood, Lovely had a new mission. She gave everything to her work, and her love for acting deepened.
Audiences and reviewers alike were captivated by her more genuine performances. Joan Moore, the girl with the scars and shadows, was no more.
She was now a lady who had forged her way, confronted her concerns, and emerged more potent.
