Chapter 46 - Bucket List_ The Kingdom Of Stonasia_1

As soon as she began blogging, her fans increased from zero to hundreds, then thousands, and the next day, they numbered in the millions.

When Jeb Lewis saw her post, he shared and reposted it. His millions of admirers followed Emily. Many A-list actors and actresses from MY Group did the same thing, and Emily's vlog went viral overnight.

Everyone adores Aiden's sweetness, Emily's lovely and composed manner as she tells their journey, Aunty Ofelia's innocence, and Uncle Earl's pride.

Jake was unable to attend his scheduled engagements on the journey. He wanted to join them at various ports, but Emily refused. She wanted to enjoy the cruise without him breathing on her neck with his jealousy.

This trip was not like the last one, which was ruined by anxiety and jealousy. Thanks to their time apart and the opportunity to go at their own pace, Emily and Jake viewed their love differently.

Jake remained calm and encouraging when he joined them in Thailand and Hong Kong. Emily could only allow him to stay at the end but not accompany them on the trip.

As he taught Aiden about the countries they visited, he and Emily fell into a comfortable pattern.

They traveled throughout Asia for 45 days, experiencing some of the most beautiful places on the planet without drama or interruption.

There were no unexpected encounters with old acquaintances, visits from competitors, or unwanted suitors, just a family enjoying fun together.

Emily, Aiden, and Mr. and Mrs. Hernandez enjoyed unforgettable vacation memories that they will treasure. They felt happier and closer at each site.

Emily couldn't help but reflect on their progress as the cruise ended. Previously overwhelming problems felt like distant memories.

Though she was aware that there would be more obstacles to come, for the time being, all that mattered was that they had found peace in the big ocean.

Emily and Aiden had traveled the world for three months, seeing sights they had never dreamed of.

They had experiences that would last a lifetime as they explored the stunning continent of Asia, witnessed many civilizations, and experienced local food.

However, their incredible journey was coming to an end. It was time to head home and prepare for Aiden's next academic year, but not before visiting the Kingdom of Stonasia.

As they embarked on the last leg of their journey, Emily checked off what she had accomplished on her bucket list.

Emily sat beside an older guy who identified himself as Dr. Garcia from the look of his gray hair; he was about 60 years old or older.

As their aircraft to Stonasia took off, his silver hair, well-groomed appearance, and soft, comforting smile instantly made Emily feel comfortable.

They greeted one another, and before they knew it, she was having a friendly chat with Dr. Garcia while Aiden, full of energy as usual, was riveted to the windows. Mr. and Mr. Hernandez sat in the aisle behind them.

They chatted about the several locations they had been to, and Dr. Garcia told tales of his early trips.

Emily felt herself opening up to him as their talk progressed—something she hadn't done in a long time with strangers.

She said she had meant to visit Stonasia for a while since her late parents had links to the royal family there. Stonasia was a significant destination for her.

Dr. Garcia was interested in Emily's narrative as she talked, listening carefully, smiling, and nodding.

When Emily asked him about his profession, Dr. Garcia replied that he was in Medical Research and specialized in brain disorders.

He had studied strokes, brain tumors of all kinds, and other neurological diseases for decades.

He recently created a revolutionary serum to treat malignant tumors, a medication that may give patients hope after they have exhausted other alternatives.

Emily wanted to know more about his work, so she questioned Dr. Garcia.

Although the serum was still relatively new, the findings were encouraging. Tumors might decrease, and neurological function might be restored, but the treatment needed an extended stay at his clinic.

Individual reactions to the serum meant that the effects varied, so patients required regular monitoring.

"The treatment is intensive," he continued, "but for those willing to commit, it could be life-changing."

Dr. Garcia's words caused Emily to think about herself, who had been worrying for several months now that her time was near.

She could never shake the recollection of a constant headache and lifeless state. Nothing had helped, even after she had prayed for her recovery and sought the most remarkable test medical advice that was offered.

All the experts told her that she needed to undergo risky brain surgery and chemotherapy, which she opted thinking of the risk that she could die under the knife.

But with Dr. Garcia's method, there is a chance of a ce. It's a serum, and she doesn't have to undergo surgery.

One hope she hadn't had in a long time was the glimmer of optimism that hearing about Dr. Garcia's serum provided her.

Emily carefully inquired whether Dr. Garcia had ever treated a patient without giving too much information. He gave a contemplative answer. Yes, he replied, "but it's a challenging circumstance. For the record, a person can hide their identity, but I must know everything."

"Although my serum isn't a quick process, it supports the brain's natural healing process. There is no assurance that the patient won't need to spend much time in my institution. However, I have witnessed some incredible recoveries."

Emily thought about the prospect, and her heart raced. Was this the chance for the miracle she had been waiting for, or was Dr. Garcia's serum the secret to letting her live longer?

Emily questioned, "Would it be possible to treat someone with a brain condition who has never received treatment and only medication?" while attempting to mask her mounting feelings.

Dr. Garcia said, "It's not impossible, but it depends on the specifics and intent. Before responding, I must review the patient's medical records and complete an assessment. However, I would provide my whole assistance if there was even the remotest possibility of improvement."

For a few moments, Emily sat in silence, considering her options. Despite several attempts, nothing had been successful.

However, this was novel, and Dr. Garcia appeared sincere and informed. But putting herself through a protracted stay in a facility was unsettling...~~~
