Chapter 18 - Red Ribbon And Jollibee_5

~~~
Butler Green has been with the family the longest. He descended from a long line of Butlers who had moved to Country A.
He married his wife, who had worked as Jake's father's Nurse-Nanny and then as Jake Lewis. She had died years ago.
Butler Green's son and wife serve as chef and head housekeeper, respectively; their offspring work for Jake Lewis and the Lewis Group.
Allan Green is Jake's assistant. James is the second kid, John is the third, and they are the bodyguards; Elise, the youngest, is now in her first year at college. However, he also helps around the house as required.
Then there are two gardeners: a couple with three daughters who work inside the house. The oldest is 26, the second is 24, and the youngest is 22.
The driver, who had just recently joined the family, was last but certainly not least. When Jake served in the military, he was one of his subordinates.
A few years ago, after he was honorably discharged, Jake hired him as his bodyguard and driver. Since he could not introduce himself, Butler Green informed Emily of this.
Emily, Uncle Earl, and Aunty Ofelia were shocked to hear that everyone was somehow connected.
The fact that they have been a member of the Lewis family for many generations is the most notable.
They understood why they would feel territorial. Uncle Earl understood it well.
After they concluded the introduction, Emily talked about what she had seen when she got home.
"Okay, I'd want to thank everyone for the information. I am delighted you have all spent a lot of time with the Lewises. It demonstrated your allegiance. But first, we must deal with Butler Green's and Uncle Earl's problems. We cannot have arguments about who is who since we are all members of the same family. Are all of you in agreement?"
Emily talked to everyone politely and quietly. Her eyes were as big as the sun, and a little grin played on her lips.
They all nodded in agreement as they spoke to each other. Butler Green and Uncle Earl could not look at Emily.
The two elderly guys felt guilty about what they had done. They argue over ridiculous things and are meant to set an example as elders.
Emily intervened since both elders were silent. "Uncle Earl, Butler Green, don't you both think you should apologize to each other and everyone in the household?"
When the two older men heard Emily's words, they quickly apologized and acknowledged their mistake. They promised each other that they would work together to ensure the harmony of their household as one family.
"Well, it's time to celebrate now that everything has been cleared out and is in the open. Additionally, as a result of that..." Announced Emily.
She made no mistakes. Someone rang the doorbell as a catering vehicle with a big logo of Jollibee parked into the back kitchen entry.
"Speaking of the devil, someone opened the back door and let the delivery person bring everything I had ordered for our celebration."
Emily hugged Aiden, silently observing and listening to everything happening before her. Her grin spread across her face, and her eyes shined brilliantly.
The smell of fried chicken, spaghetti, and hamburgers filled the Lewis family kitchen, making everyone happy.
The typically immaculate worktops were suddenly covered in red and yellow Jollibee packaging, contrasting with the space's beautiful, minimalist architecture to create a bright and cheery sight.
Beside the kitchen island, Emily and Aiden's faces glowed with happiness as they indulged in comfort food.
Emily, her hair pushed back, calmly passed out plates while Aiden's eyes were excited. He ripped into a box of Jollibee Chickenjoy.
The household staff, typically occupied with their responsibilities, congregated about them, laughing and conversing.
Everyone could unwind and enjoy one other's company for a rare time.
Head housekeeper Maria smiled when she opened a package of Jolly Spaghetti, bright red sauce, and hotdog pieces, which returned her to her childhood home.
The family's gardener, Robert, was already chowing down on a Yumburger beside his wife, nodding in satisfaction at the comforting flavor.
"This is exactly what we needed," Emily was given a plate by Maria, who grinned warmly. A small taste of home makes everything better, especially after such an exhausting week."
Emily grinned back and nodded. "Maria, I couldn't agree more. I felt that a little treat would be pleasant for all of us. I am also aware of Aiden's deep affection for Jollibee."
Aiden smiled at the sound of his name, already hard at work on his second piece of chicken.
"Mom, you know me too well. Though, having everyone here together is the nicest part." His baby voice sounds so sweet in their ears.
The enormous dining table, casually prepared for the occasion, became the focal point of the gathering.
Everyone excitedly devoured the delicacies that brought back happy memories as plates were handed around.
As stories were told, everyone felt the tension of their everyday routines melt away, and the sound of clinking silverware and laughing filled the room.
Emily sat beside Aiden while Aunty Ofelia and Uncle Earl were on her other side.
She felt a deep sense of contentment as she watched everyone interact.
These people had become like family, supporting her and Aiden through thick and thin. When the barriers between the employer and the employees disappeared, moments like these made the house feel like a proper home.
After finishing his burger, Uncle Earl leaned back in his chair with a satisfied sigh. "You know, I haven't had Jollibee in years. This takes me back to when I was a kid."
Butler Green still focused on his food, looked up with curiosity. "Earl? What was your favorite thing to order when you eat at Jollibee?"
"Oh, definitely the Chickenjoy and Jolly Spaghetti, just like now," Uncle Earl replied with a nostalgic smile.
"It was always a special treat, even when I was young and could barely afford it." He added regretfully. Mist started to build on his old eyes, and he quickly wiped it before putting on a smile...~~
