It was a beautiful morning, and Emily was overjoyed as she descended the stairs.
Meanwhile, Aiden and Aunt Ofelia were already sitting at the breakfast table, enjoying their food.
Uncle Earl, on the other hand, chose to eat breakfast with the rest of the house staff in the back dining room.
He believes it is inappropriate to dine in the main hall. At the same time, Emily had always regarded him and Ofelia as family; it is different now that so many other companions are in the same household.
Aunt Ofelia also expressed a desire to join them, but she could not do so due to her obligations to Emily and Aiden.
Emily had a short lunch before racing out. Eve Young had already arrived at the airport and was waiting at the baggage claim area to pick up her luggage. Emily couldn't keep her waiting too long, or she'd skin her to death.
As Emily arrived, she spotted her best friend and business partner; a pair of dented dimples adorned her cheeks, and a warm smile spread across her face. "Eve... I've missed you so much, sister," she whispered as they embraced tightly.
"So do I... So do I, my sister. How's my nephew, aunty, and uncle doing?" Eve always treats Mr. and Mrs. Hernandez like family rather than just employees of Emily.
She had been addressing them the same way for years, and whenever she saw them, she made sure they felt the warmth of a real family.
"They're all doing well; we just had a lovely party yesterday with the rest of the household staff, and it was a wonderful time for everyone." Emily happily recounted.
Eve Young waited expectantly for Emily's thoughts on her Legal Guardian, Mr. Lewis, but stayed silent. When her friend kept her mouth shut, Eve dismissed the topic, knowing there would be future occasions to tackle it.
Now that she had moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, Eve Young looked forward to experiencing the city's excitement and bustle. 'The City that never sleeps.'
Eve Young excused herself to go in front and grab her bags while Emily waited as soon as they heard the baggage belt begin to run.
Eve Young is finally here, and she can go to work. They are scheduled to meet with the President of M. Entertainment to discuss potential joint ventures, including their talent from Country B.
An A-list actress with potential has already joined Country A Entertainment. Her company paid a lot to replace the lead actress, Klara Wright.
The next item on the agenda was to acquire MY Group shares to gain control of M. Entertainment. And that's simply the beginning.
When she inherits her parents' estate next year, she aims to guarantee that anybody who wishes to injure or murder her or a loved one faces a hefty price.
Emily emerged from her daydream when Eve Young approached unexpectedly and eagerly.
"I've got it!" Now, let's get moving! I'm excited to give my nephew a hearty bear hug. I'm sure he has gotten cuter and grown taller in just one week since I last saw him." Eve put her arms on Emily's shoulder as they prepared to leave the airport.
Suddenly, John approached them and politely volunteered to handle Eve's luggage. "Miss, if it's not too much trouble, I'd be happy to help you with your luggage," he replied in a calming tone.
Eve was taken aback by his striking appearance and momentarily mesmerized by his gentle gaze.

Eve couldn't help herself inside the car, constantly checking the rearview mirror to see whether John was looking at her. She'd dated many attractive men but never met anybody precisely like him. He embodies what they call "tall, dark, and attractive."
Her curiosity got the best, so she questioned Emily about the man driving the car. "Hey, Emily... Is John already taken? She whispered.
"What did you say?" Are you inquiring about John? Emily missed Eve's whisper and didn't want John to hear it.
However, when Emily spoke his name, John glared at Eve through the review mirror.
"Hey John, my friend over here asking if you're taken?" Emily yelled at John, who remained dumbfounded after hearing her. He had never expected his employer to do something that would disgrace her pal. Unfortunately, here is where he goes wrong. Instead of being ashamed, Eve waited for his response as if they were discussing the weather.
Instead, he was uncomfortable and unable to speak, his cheeks turning crimson red.
"So... Are you taken or not?" Eve couldn't wait any longer and asked again as she neared John's back. He could sense her breathing while she talked.
John had no choice but to respond, "No, Miss Eve, I am not taken. I don't have time for a relationship and haven't yet met the lady who can make my heartbeat."
Eve felt dissatisfied after hearing his long speech. She's not that naive to believe he merely informed her she's not his type. "See, that wasn't difficult. "Thank you for being honest."
Emily could only shake her head and give Eve a sideways glance. There is always a first time for everything.
Her partner/best friend is the belle of the college campus, and men would queue up in the cafeteria to sit with her for lunch.
And whenever she went out, she never had to pay for her beverages since someone was always prepared to purchase them.
That's why she never takes relationships seriously, switches men as frequently as she does her hair, and washes daily.
Unfortunately, her charm did not work this time. John is the first man to reject her appeal, and Eve isn't having it.
Emily knew she was planning to trap John and was excited to find out how she would accomplish it with all of John's family watching.
She touched Eve before whispering, "I thought I'd let you know that almost everyone in the house is his family." So, are you sure you'll stick with your plan? I know you're planning something, and I'm telling you it will work now. Hahaha!"
"Just watch how I perform my magic. I don't care if his entire tribe lives with us; I'll defeat him or die trying. Hahaha!"
The two were inconspicuous, unaware that John had the great hearing and heard everything. His heart began pumping quickly...~~~
