"That's enough young lady. That is no way to take to your mother." Williams boomed at Abigail.
"She's not my mother. I know my mother and I will gladly leave your house and go be with MY mother just so I can have my peace of mind." Abigail moved to pack her things from the wardrobe.
"If you accept to marry Elijah, your father and I will help in footing your mother's bill." Nora quickly said. She could not afford to lose the opportunity that comes with being connected to the Lesters.
Abigail stopped midway to the wardrobe and turned back to face Nora.
'Yes Abigail. Even if you don't care about your father's reputation, I know you will do this for your mother's sake.' Nora smirked inwardly as she saw Abigail give in to them.

Sitting beside the cabman, Abigail stared ahead with a lost look on her face, holding tight the cross from her necklace. It had belonged to her mother and she had given it to her three years ago.
The cross had always given her comfort everytime she was confused and scared; but today no matter how tight she held into it, she could not help but be scared.
"Abby, I believe there's no reason for you to go on with this charade because of me. I've been doing fine before now and I will continue being fine." Grace wept as she hugged her daughter in the hospital ward.
"But mum, we need this help in order to give you the proper care you need. This is an easy way out." A slap resounded on her cheek.
"And is that the way I've trained you to live your life." Grace broke down in tears as she held onto her daughter; "Don't ruin your life because of me. I will be so devastated." But Abigail pulled her back.
"No mother, I'm being selfish in going ahead with this wedding and it's not because of you." She smiled through the tears blurring her eyes.
"There's a purpose for everyone on earth. That was always what you told me, right? Just like the case of Esther. I will be fine mum. I promise. And you will also be fine and healthy." Abigail smiled through the tears that blinded her.
When Grace saw the determination on her face, she decided to trust her and let her go.
"I will be back when it's all over, okay?" Grace nodded as she watched her daughter leave for a seemingly unknown world and she broke down in tears as those around her came to hold her up.
Abigail wiped the tears from her eyes as she smoothened her white gown. This was going to be a long day.
She looked down on the cross and felt an assurance like never before.
The cabman pulled over to the front of the hotel premises as Abigail looked over at the exterior of the hotel.
It was surprisingly a four star hotel. How could her father afford this? She pushed the thought out of her mind as she looked over to the cab man and paid him his fare.
"Wish me well today, kind sir. Today is my wedding." She got down immediately she said so and walked to the hotel.
The cabman was astonished for a moment as he watched her walk away after announcing such a big thing in a trivial manner. He shook his head with a solemn smile as he drove away, he picked up his phone to make a call.
"Hi, my name is Abigail Lewis. I am getting married here today." She smiled at the receptionist.
"Hi. You're welcome." The receptionist signaled to an attendant to assist her in carrying her luggage to the event hall.
Nora had made her pack all her luggages, which was not that much to begin with, because according to Nora, "you won't be coming back here ever again."
She thanked the attendant when he showed her to the changing room and left. She sat down before the mirror and applied a little make up on her face and wore the headpiece. She looked a little like a bride. She smiled sadly at the thought of that.
The time was a little past ten. She sighed at the thought of the coming moments.
There was a sharp knock on the door and the door was pushed open before she could even respond.
"The bastard had to make us spend so much money all because he feels he is doing us a favour. And to think he is just a bastard and also a useless fellow. Humph" Nora fumed as she came to meet Abigail where she was standing.
"Don't take a minute more in here. Come into the chapel and wait there. Come along with your luggage. I'm not paying any more dime for this room." She walked out, leaving Nora to sort herself out.
She sat down in front of the chapel as few people started coming in. The time was past 11 already and there was no sign of the groom yet and neither were his family members in the chapel yet.
Abigail fidgeted and held her cross, closed her eyes and wished the day will end quickly.
"I heard he is a bastard and unemployed." The whispers were become louder as the time dragged on.
She heard footsteps approaching her and she opened her eyes to see who it was. It was Zoey latching on to Liam's arms as though she was a weakling.
Abigail felt neauseated at the sight and looked away. Liam looked the worse for wear but she could not even be bothered to care about that.
"You sure have bad luck, Abby. Even your groom is no where to be found today which happens to be your wedding day. I am not envious of your at all, Abby." Zoey mocked her as she placed her other hand on her stomach.
"Unlike Liam here who has been such a darling, I start to wonder how your new groom will treat you" Zoey cackled as all eyes turned to stare at her.
