"For in Jesus' name we've prayed." The pastor concluded the prayer. "Amen." Sister Lilian replied.
"Thank you very much pastor"
"It is well with you sister"
"I'll take my leave now," she said while fixing her gaze on a calendar hung on the wall of the cleric's office. The calendar displayed a group of smiling people clustered together for a group photograph. "Is that not Dr. Dunmade Kazeem, the glorified business tycoon? The sister asked pointing at a particular figure among the group.
"You're right"
The expression on Lilian's face changed to that of indignation.
"His firm has been donating funds to both the Christian and Islamic clergies. A generous man," The pastor emphasized.
"Well, I think he's a hypocrite."
The pastor fixed her with a questioning look.
"I mean, the whole funds to the clergy thing is just a front. The man is wicked. I pity his wife and children, bless their souls. Not to add to the fact that he smokes and drinks. I know we are not to judge, but I think his chance of making Heaven is slim"
Pastor Brown smiled. "May the judgment of the Lord be upon him."
"Amen pastor," she stood up and moved toward the black, well welded door. The pastor had been very proud when he had the door installed because it added a kind of beauty to his already well furnished office and it spoke of God's blessings in his life. To the pastor, being rich as a cleric brought people to Christ. For he knew that most people thought if a Man of God was as comfortable as he was, then Jesus must be worth serving.
On getting there, she said; "Thank you once again sir," she opened the door and left.
The pastor said a short prayer quickly and waited for the next person he was
to attend to.
