"We are not in a fucking kdrama let go of my hand." Sung-hoon said before pulling his hand away from Jae-wook's grasp.
They stood in the middle of a hallway in a secluded area of the house.
He glared at Jae-wook as he rubbed his hand.
"I am not a puppet you can drag around." He said angrily as he let out a heavy hearth.
His blood was still boiling with anger from the alteration from earlier.
"Is that why you dragged me here. To save your stupid friend. He is a bastard and disgusting on top of it. " Sung-hoon started ranting as he walked around in circles. "You should have let me punch him." He said fitting his hands once again before punching the wall not flinching even once.
Finally after ranting for some more minutes he finally calmed down. He leaned against the wall as they stayed in silence.
"Are you done." Jae-wook asked earning a glare from Sung-hoon.
"He is the son of a shareholder of director Choi's production house."
Sung-hoon looked at him for a while before letting out a sigh. His tongue against his inner cheek he held his waist as he stood at a more guarded posture.
Finally after more silence he finally spoke.
"So what? Are you saying I should have allowed him to continue?" Sung-hoon asked looking at jae-wook.
He knew what Jae-wook meant when he told him that piece of information. He was basically telling him that the guy could end his entire career before it even started and it may be all in a span of hours. But he didn't want Jae-wook to see he was a bit shaken up by that fact. He however despite that genuinely would have helped the girl. He was not one to shy away from a problem.
At that moment he realised how high profile the people in that party were. Everyone had some kind of connection that they could use to crumble anyone. But that didn't give them the excuse to dehumanise anyone for whatever reason.
As he stood there a thought came to his mind. The owner of the party was seated at the same seat they were. He looked like he was a very high profile person and above that the way he looked at Sung-hoon as they were seated looked like he was trying to provoke him.
Did they know each other?
What was their relationship with each other?
"Look I am going to get se-hee and leaving." Sung-hoon stated as he turned back to go back outside.
Jae-wook started following behind him which made Sung-hoon mad as he stopped, turned and glared at him. Jae-wook looked at him cluelessly.
"Don't follow me." Sung-hoon warned as he walked out with a faster pace. He walked around the party for a while trying to locate the booth the entourage was seated in. He noticed Jae-wook had already arrived before him. He was standing looking at the crowd as he lifed his glass in his direction a corky expression in his face.
Sung-hoon let out an inaudible curse as he started walking towards them.
The party was loaded with people drunk and laughing as they moved around dancing to the loud music.
He could feel their bodies push against his as he tried to walk past them.
He felt like the world had come to a stop as he felt his body sway in the air as it fell before he felt the freezing cold water make contact with his body. He had been pushed into the crowded pool.
He was a good Swimmer since he had taken up swimming lessons earlier when he was with his grandmother which came in handy when he grew up later and would train children in order to gain some more cash.
Out of reflex he quickly regained his awareness under the water as he quickly swam up to the surface. He had fallen into the deeper side of the pool there was hardly anyone on this side apart from five or six people.
Everyone looked unbothered by his 'accident ' and had continued dancing around. He turned to look around and saw Jae-wook staring at him before Ten called him pulling his attention away at that moment Sung-hoon felt something heavy tag at his feet before he was pulled down suddenly.
He didn't have enough time to react as he drunk some of the pool water as his body was being forcefully submerged into the water.
He looked down to see two pairs of hands holding him down as they forced him further down.
He tried to pull away from their grasp but due to the sudden force and lack of enough oxygen he could hardly pull away let alone fight them.
He tried swimming up but it was of no use. His body was getting heavier and tired from the lack of oxygen. His eyes were slowly closing as he started falling into unconsciousness. At that moment they let go of him and went to the surface. They got out of the pool and Highfield someone before a round of laugher filled the area.
Jae-wook looked back at the pool but he didn't see any sign of Sung-hoon in the pool. He saw Sol, the man seating with them earlier and had an altercation with Sung-hoon seating on a raised bar stool overlooking the pool surrounded by people as he laughed while smoking a cigarette. He pointed at the pool before they bust into laughter.
Jae-wook quickly pieced together what was happening. He placed the glass down as he started running towards the pool.
Se-hee, Lee and Ten stared at him in question as they watched him remove his shoes and overcoat before he dove into the pool.
The people near the pool froze as they watched him dive into the pool as the air of silence drifted through the part and everyone was soon standing still.
Se-hee and Ten rushed towards the pool trying to figure out what was happening.
Jae-wook felt the cold water consume him as he dove into the pool. He swam towards the area he had last seen Sung-hoon it took a while before he finally saw him
He was floating unconscious.
Jae-wook quickly swam towards him and grabbed him before swimming up. They finally emerged at the surface.
"Sung-hoon!" Se-hee let out a loud gasp as she started reaching out for him. Jae-wook swam towards where Se-hee and Ten were waiting as they helped him get Sung-hoon out of the pool before he leaped out.
Ten reached out to hear is Sung-hoon was breathing when he felt was faint he started chest compressions.
The Dj had now stopped the music and everyone was looking at them.
"Let me do it." Way said and Ten quickly moved out of the way. Way had training from when he was h
In highschool. He had joined a first responder class and he would prove more helpful in that situation.
Way continued giving him chest compressions as Se-hee held her breath beside them.
Her eyes filled with worry as she watched attentively.
Jae-wook was perched against his knees as he tried to catch his breath. His eyes intensely focused on Sung-hoon's limp body lying on the poolside while in wet clothes.
He couldn't lie he was scared. He had known fear a lot in his life that he became numb to it but here he was feeling it again.
After sometime Sung-hoon finally coughed out the water and his breath was back to normal but his body had still not regained full consciousness.
As soon as Jae-wook saw he was fine it was as if something snapped inside him. He stood up and within seconds he was standing in front of Sol holding him by his shirt as he pulled him away from the high bar stool towards the pool.
Everyone watched in silence as he dipped his head inside the cold pool water before pulling him out and throwing him roughly to the floor.
Sol was so shocked he couldn't master a single word as he tried moving away from Jae-wook's lurking cold figure above him.
"If you or anyone dare to touch him again." He said glaring at the swimmers as he squatted. "You will have me to contend with." With that he got up and walked towards Sung-hoon.
Jae-wook was a man with few words when he wasn't on stage but when he spoke especially if you had
pissed him off he was a very scary figure.
He wad the biggest fish among all the other small and big fish.
Despite the general public not really knowing of his status his name was quite prevalent among affluent and wealthy people.
His blood was considered royalty in the business world and his parents were the rulers.
He picked up Sung-hoon's unaware body. His right hand below his knees and his other hand near his chest in a bridal manner.
Sol sat there like he had seen a ghost. His face was pale and his body was shaking. He was a person who is known to be petty and likes to take revenge. He had waited for Sung-hoon to come back and set him up to fall into the pool for fun.
They were only supposed to hold him down in the pool for a few seconds and let him go as a form of threatening him. He had done so many things in the past and no one stopped him. Lee didn't pay any interest to what he was doing so he got a free pass. He didn't think that he would stumble and fall for messing with Sung-hoon causing Jae-wook to step in.
He had thought he was just a nobody and so did everyone around them but it does not seem like the case anymore. However, they should have known he wasn't ordinary when he walked in hand in hand with Se-hee.
The princess.
Sung-hoon regained consciousness in the hands of Jae-wook his eyes slowly opened at the first thing he saw was Jae-wook.
