"Bill! Wait!"
Hearing Juliet's voice, Bill's expression remained indifferent as he signaled to the bodyguard with a glance. He stepped to the side and stood next to another black business car parked by the road.
Seeing this, the bodyguard wisely returned to the car.
Juliet handed a family meal bucket to Bill.
"This is yours, take it. And your key…"
"If you don't want the key, just throw it away."
Bill took the McDonald's meal, but a fleeting look of disdain crossed his face. He never ate such junk food.
Juliet wanted to say more, but the captain called, so she had to rush back with the takeout.
As he watched her walk away, Bill's expression remained cold and calm.
This girl is just an errand runner! Does she really think she's part of the elite squad?
Bill waited until she was out of sight before getting into the Rolls-Royce nearby.
As soon as he got in, he smelled the takeout in his hand and frowned, handing it to the bodyguard.
"Throw it away."
"Yes, President Bill."
The bodyguard, Little Shan, got out of the car and tried to stuff the takeout into the trash can but found the opening too small. In the end, he just placed it on top.
Bill would never eat such junk food!
As the Rolls-Royce and four black bodyguard cars drove away, an old lady passed by the trash can. Seeing the unopened takeout, a look of delight flashed in her cloudy eyes, and she quickly picked it up.
She walked home with a smile on her face.
Inside the car, Bill closed his eyes to rest.
At this hour, he should have been at home relaxing, but that gold digger had made him wait at McDonald's for over an hour. "Damn McDonald's, just looking at that damn fried chicken makes me want to puke. Can't they offer some salad or something…"
Just as Bill was feeling annoyed, his mother called.
"President Bill, it's your mother on the phone."
The assistant cautiously handed him the phone.
Although Bill didn't approve of his mother pressuring him to get married, he had no complaints about her in other aspects. Bill straightened up and took the phone.
"Mom, what is it?"
"Bill, Honey is really a good girl. She knows you registered the wrong person, but she doesn't mind. I wanted you to come see her, but she refused. She even said it's okay if you don't get married. You really shouldn't disappoint Honey."
After listening to his mother, Bill replied in a deep voice, "Her figure is nice, but her appearance isn't to my taste."
His mother was momentarily stunned and then scolded, "You're overthinking things."
"Mom, actually, I have a new idea," Bill said, suppressing his distaste for the gold digger. "I think I might give it a try with Juliet. If it works out, we'll be together. As for Honey, you can just keep her as a close friend."
His words left his mother speechless, and before she could respond, Bill hung up.
"This child… why did he hang up? I was just about to hand the phone to you so you two could talk."
Bill's mother snapped back to reality and looked apologetically at Honey.
Honey, with her fair skin and innocent demeanor, exuded a pure aura, and her red nail polish added a touch of feminine charm.
"Auntie, don't bother Bill with work. I'm fine."
As she spoke, Honey frowned slightly, tugging at the wound on her leg.
"You're always so considerate, never wanting to trouble others. Don't push yourself too hard."
Bill's mother had once doubted Honey's motives for saving her, but after some probing, she found that Honey really had a simple heart.
Honey smiled and subtly shifted the topic to Juliet.
"Has Bill resolved things with that girl he registered incorrectly with?"
"…It should be settled by now. Don't worry about it. Let him handle it."
Bill's mother's slightly hesitant attitude gave Honey an inexplicable sense of unease.
