Chapter 12 - Juliet Was Kicked Out

It now seemed that it was time for Juliet to leave.

Over the past four years, she had given her aunt more than enough money and didn't owe her anything.

But she wouldn't tell her aunt just yet. From what she knew about her over the years, her aunt would definitely cause trouble if she found out early.

Juliet turned and went back to her room to pack. Seeing that she wasn't saying anything, her aunt assumed that she had been persuaded.

"Juliet, isn't your paycheck due on the 15th? Today's already the 16th. Remember to transfer the money to me, don't forget."

Juliet didn't respond, continuing to pack her luggage.

She picked up the chocolate her aunt had given to Mike, which was now covered in mold. She threw it on the ground and crushed it to powder under her shoe.

She became even more determined to take her brother and leave!

She had already been giving her aunt three thousand euros a month. She and her brother lived in a bedroom converted from the balcony, only seven square meters, with two single beds that nearly took up all the space.

Her brother's food costs were at most five hundred euros a month, yet their aunt often made special meals for her cousin without giving anything to her brother.

Juliet thought and thought, unable to sleep all night.

Early the next morning, she woke Mike, and the two siblings left their aunt's house. A young woman, with no one to help her, pushed her paralyzed brother's wheelchair with one hand while dragging two large suitcases with the other.

On the side of the road, 15-year-old Mike sat quietly in his wheelchair, gazing across the street, occasionally glancing back at Juliet.

Passersby couldn't help but take a second look at Mike, praising how this boy was even more beautiful than a girl.

Few could tell that Mike suffered from Kabuki syndrome.

His face was delicate, his bare skin looking as though he were wearing refined makeup, yet his body was underdeveloped, his bones malformed, his internal organs also abnormal, and he had mild intellectual disability.

Juliet stood by the roadside and dialed Bill's number, but he was still blocked.

She wanted to talk to Bill, to see if they could try living together, and if he could spare a room for her brother at his place.

But the number was still blocked.

Just then, a Rolls-Royce motorcade passed by, followed by four business cars.

Inside, Bill was looking over some documents when his assistant, Zhuang Tao, suddenly pointed out the window. "Mr. Bill, that's Juliet."

Bill frowned and looked out the window.

It was indeed that woman, and next to her was a boy in a wheelchair.

According to the housekeeper's investigation, she had been living at her aunt's house, paying three thousand euros a month. Seeing the luggage beside her, had she been kicked out?
