Chapter 3 - Chapter 132: The Omega Mutant?

Messiah?

This was the second time Apocalypse heard this name—first from the boy Todd and now from the bearded soldier.

From both Todd's and the soldier's expressions and tones, it was clear that they held the Messiah in high regard.

"Messiah?"

"Is he a powerful figure in your time?" Apocalypse asked.

The boy Todd, already frightened and anxious, was taken aback, as were the soldiers and onlookers who had been sneering. The commotion among the crowd grew.

"Did you just come out of Antarctica? How could you not know the Messiah?"

"Are you joking?"

The crowd and soldiers found it hard to believe that anyone in this era would be unaware of the Messiah, thinking Apocalypse was mocking them.

Charlie, the bearded soldier, sneered. "Are you trying to fool us?"

"If so, then congratulations—you've succeeded!"

He smirked maliciously. "Do you really think you're the Messiah? Just you?"

"Watch me put a few holes in you!"

As Charlie prepared to act, Apocalypse continued, "He's strong, and you fear him?"

Charlie, who was about to open fire, was momentarily stunned, then laughed in disbelief.

One of the soldiers said, "I don't think he's mocking us; he's just a lunatic. Can someone really not know the Messiah?"

"Doesn't he know the Omega Mutant?"

The term "Omega Mutant" instantly captured Apocalypse's attention.

Todd noticed Apocalypse's reaction and, assuming he truly did not know, began to explain. "Here, mutants are classified into five levels, from Level 1 to Level 5…"

"The mutants considered the greatest threat, even the ultimate threat, are called Omega Mutants."

"Omega Mutants have incredible power, representing limitless potential and possibilities. They are like gods among mutants…"

Todd quickly conveyed the information about Omega Mutants, a topic nearly everyone knew after the Light Event, including the soldiers and onlookers.

Yet, Apocalypse was stunned.

"Omega Mutant…" he murmured.

As a ruler of Egypt who commanded both ordinary people and mutants, he had heard some rumors about Omega Mutants, even though most believed they were mere legends.

In his time, both humans and mutants commonly thought Omega Mutants did not exist. Such mutants, with undefined or immeasurable powers, were considered mythical, even after thousands of years.

Even as the progenitor of mutants with numerous powers, he was only at the peak of Level 4, somewhere between Levels 4 and 5.

Yet now, Omega Mutants were said to exist in this era?

How could that be…

Apocalypse's initial reaction was one of disbelief.

"You say the Messiah is an Omega Mutant?"

To confirm, he described the characteristics of Omega Mutants.

"Mutants with undefined and immeasurable power levels?"

"Yes, exactly," Todd confirmed.

As Apocalypse absorbed this, Todd and the others looked at him with a mix of disbelief and pity, thinking he might be pretending.

Todd then shocked Apocalypse with another revelation.

"And there's not just one Omega Mutant; there's another one."

"Child, what did you just say?" Apocalypse was completely stunned.

Two Omega Mutants?

It was one thing to accept the existence of one, but two? Apocalypse struggled to believe it.

Realizing Apocalypse's confusion, Todd elaborated, "Yes, one is the Messiah, and the other is a man in white. His abilities are also mysterious. I've heard he can alter and distort reality, changing things with just a word. It's terrifying!"

Apocalypse was taken aback. The description of the man in white suggested he was likely an Omega Mutant.

At that moment, Apocalypse's emotions surged—shock, excitement, and a racing heartbeat.

If he could control an Omega Mutant and transfer his essence into their body, he might gain their Omega abilities!

His heart raced with anticipation.

An Omega-level mutant, a being he had long sought but never found even during his reign!

This was the body he had always desired!

Driven by a mixture of curiosity and greed, Apocalypse now felt a strong desire to meet both the Messiah and the man in white.

At this point, Charlie grew impatient. "Have you talked enough?"

"Once you're done, be quiet and don't resist. Maybe I'll spare you."

He prepared to use force.

However, the unusual blue-skinned mutant, instead of showing fear, spoke calmly.

"Thank you for informing me about the Omega Mutants. As a token of appreciation, I can let you leave."

Charlie and his men were incredulous, and they began to mock him.

As they prepared to act despite the warnings, Apocalypse made no further comments. He merely raised his right hand.

In the next second, the ground beneath the Egyptian soldiers became engulfed in swirling sand.

"Shoot!"

Charlie reacted quickly, firing his gun and shouting at his team to do the same.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

However, all the bullets fired by Charlie and his soldiers were blocked by a transparent shield.

Moments later, a series of hissing sounds followed as the sand sliced through the soldiers' necks.

They fell as if made of water, offering no resistance against the assaulting sand!

They couldn't even dodge.

Watching the rapidly falling soldiers, the onlookers and Todd were stunned.

"Monster… another monster…"

Charlie's final words were spoken in despair as he fell to the ground.

The onlookers couldn't comprehend encountering another mutant of such monstrous power.

"Ah…"

People screamed in terror and fled in panic.

Todd, amazed by the scene, was still in shock when a purple energy shield enveloped them. Then, he and Apocalypse were teleported to a different location, thanks to Apocalypse's teleportation ability.

Ignoring Todd's astonished expression, Apocalypse spoke gently.

"Child, continue telling me more about the Messiah."
