Chapter 5 - Chapter 134: The Kidnapped Professor X

"We had already considered that possibility," Cyclops Scott said, glancing at Coulson. "But unfortunately, both the Messiah and the man in white seem capable of blocking the Professor's telepathic scans."

"Could this be a trait of Omega mutants?" Coulson inquired, clearly taken aback.

It was a surprising revelation. Did all Omega mutants possess this ability?

While Coulson pondered this, Professor Charles Xavier had already entered the Cerebro chamber and donned the helmet designed to amplify his telepathic signals.

"Professor, let me assist you with the location," said Hank McCoy, his blue fur bristling as he operated the equipment, setting the search parameters to Cairo, Egypt.

Soon, the Cerebro chamber displayed numerous red silhouettes, each representing a mutant.

The ambient noise of voices filled the room.

After a brief period, Professor Xavier opened his eyes. "I believe I've found him."

Found him? Coulson and the others immediately perked up.

At that moment in Cairo, Egypt, the progenitor mutant Apocalypse, possessing countless abilities, detected Xavier's telepathic signal and connected to it, sensing a multitude of people.

The range of this detection was astonishing.

"What's so remarkable?" Todd asked curiously.

"I've found my answer," Apocalypse responded vaguely.

Apocalypse realized that he had located the final piece needed to become a Level 5 mutant. By occupying the body of someone with extraordinary mental power, he would achieve that level.

In the Cerebro chamber, everyone was puzzled by Xavier's sudden silence and the darkening of his eyes, indicating he was under mental control.

Then, a shocking scene unfolded.

A purple, wave-like energy shield appeared outside the chamber's door. As the shield opened, Apocalypse and Todd, having teleported from their location, stepped into the chamber.

"Who are you?"

"What do you want?"

"Stop right there!"

The X-Men, witnessing the tall, blue figure approach, immediately issued warnings.

Seeing that the intruder continued to advance, Cyclops, unable to hold back, activated his visor to shoot a red laser at Apocalypse.

Boom!

The laser shot forth with incredible speed, but an invisible shield effortlessly blocked it.

No matter how long Cyclops attacked, the shield remained unbroken, and Apocalypse's advance was unwavering.

Realizing the situation was dire, Coulson drew his handgun, Storm charged up electricity, and Logan unsheathed his claws.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Despite their combined efforts, they couldn't breach the invisible shield, nor could they halt the approaching figure.

In that moment, they were overwhelmed by shock, helplessness, and despair.

"Who are you?"

"How can you be so powerful?"

"Are you the progenitor mutant?"

Coulson suddenly had a grim realization. The others, too, were struck by astonishment and dread.

Apocalypse ignored their questions, his gaze fixed on the wheelchair-bound Professor Xavier. He approached him directly.

A purple energy shield enveloped the trio.

In the blink of an eye, Apocalypse, Todd, and Professor Xavier vanished from the Cerebro chamber.

"Professor!"

The X-Men, unable to prevent the abduction, were left in a state of panic.

"What does he want with the Professor?" Logan furrowed his brow.

His question triggered a terrifying thought in Coulson.

"I fear the situation could be catastrophic."

"The progenitor mutant might be intending to seize Professor Xavier's body to gain his powers."

The implication left everyone in shock.

They could barely imagine the horror of the progenitor mutant, already formidable, gaining Professor Xavier's psychic abilities. What would he become, and what would he do?

"But we're no match for him. How can we save the Professor?" Cyclops lamented.

The recent events left him feeling suffocated.

Storm and the others shared similar sentiments.

Even their combined attacks had failed to break through the progenitor mutant's shield, highlighting the enormous gap in their capabilities.

They were at a loss as to how to rescue the Professor.

"If only Jean were here," Cyclops sighed.

If Jean were present, perhaps they could have stopped Apocalypse.

Unfortunately…

At that moment, Chris, the burly figure with a beard who had been silent, spoke up. "Perhaps I have a way to save the Professor."

Everyone's gaze shifted to the previously quiet figure.

"What's your plan?" Storm asked, puzzled.

In the collective attention, Chris spoke solemnly. "Perhaps only the Messiah can help the Professor now. We should seek his assistance."

Cyclops and the others were taken aback.

Indeed, the Messiah might be their only hope…

But…

"We have no connections with the Messiah. He's unlikely to help us…" Storm sighed.

Chris shook his head and looked at Logan. "Both Logan and I know the Messiah, and…"

"The Messiah might indeed be able to help the Professor."

"What?"

The reaction was immediate—shock and confusion painted the faces of Storm, Coulson, Logan, and others.

How could Chris be so certain that the Messiah could help?

The situation seemed increasingly perplexing.

The pressing question now was how to contact the Messiah.

Cyclops and the others exchanged uncertain glances.

As a S.H.I.E.L.D. member, Coulson quickly spoke up, "I'll handle contacting the Messiah."

The group began their efforts to reach out.

Meanwhile, Charles Xavier, now taken by Apocalypse, slowly regained consciousness.
