Chapter 1 - Fake queen

Queen Ophelia was receiving fresh air in the garden when Jada King Hyman's personal guard entered. "My queen," Jada bowed.

"What do you want, Jada? Queen Ophelia asked.

"My lady, the king wants you in the royal shade," he delivered the message.

Queen Ophelia got up immediately and went to the royal shade. She saw King Hyman with two other ladies. She entered the royal shade and sat down. King Hyman was shocked by her sudden change of character. Queen Ophelia has always been formal with him, but the noble lady in front of him is very different. He only sighed.

"Well, my lady, these are my mistresses," King Hyman said, expecting her to be shocked or worried.

He knows Queen Ophelia to be an overthinker.

"Oh, I see," Queen Ophelia said.

"Ain't you feeling bad about it?" King Hyman mocked her.

"No, they are not as beautiful as I am. Who is she?" Queen Ophelia asked

"I'm Lesley, the royal concubine, my lady," she bowed.

"And you," Queen Ophelia faced the other lady.

"I'm Elspeth, she introduced.

"Beautiful," Queen Ophelia clapped. "Your king, I'll get jealous when you have beautiful ladies." Queen Ophelia got up and left the shade. She met royal Sally, King Hyman's favourite consort. "My queen," royal Sally bowed.

"My lady, are you one of the so-called mistresses your king introduced to me?" Queen Ophelia asked ignorantly.

"I'm sorry, my queen; I'm royal Sally, the king's favorite."  Sally smiled, knowing Queen Ophelia would be sad.

"Ahhh... I see, your king really loves ugly girls," Queen Ophelia muttered, smirking at royal Sally.

"My queen, how about your baby?" royal Sally asked.

"What baby?" Queen Ophelia looked surprised.

"I thought his majesty said you're pregnant," royal Sally asked.

"Pardon," Queen Ophelia looked shocked.

"I guess he wasn't serious after all," Royal Sally smiled happily.

"And what if I'm carrying the crown prince?" Queen Ophelia mocked.

The prime minister chambers:

The prime minister and his supporting officials were sitting around a table. "I think the guard didn't kill the queen," the royal chief secretary said.

"Then we'll have to question the guard," the minister of war said.

"Let him in," the prime minister ordered. The guard that was ordered to kill Queen Ophelia entered. He was dragged in by two other guards.

"What happened?" the prime minister asked.

"I killed her... and saw it... That day she died," the guard tried to explain himself. He kneeled down. "My lord, please don't kill me; I'll kill her again if you wish," the guard pleaded.

"I don't want you to kill her anymore, but I want you to kill the king," the prime minister said, and his supporting officials opened their mouths in shock.

Is the prime minister going to be their emperor?

Back to Hiang Palace:

Queen Ophelia entered the royal library and searched the journal sections. She got a journal of the palace records, "THE OUTING OF THE PALACE QUEENS."

She sighed and took it to the room. This will help her locate where Ophelia died. She opened it and started reading through. She quickly flipped through the journal to get to Queen Ophelia's records, but nothing was recorded about her.

Omega was shocked. The life of royalty is not something to be proud of, though.

She dropped the book on the table and went to her dressing room to change into casual wear. She was sneaking out when she hit Jada.

"I'm sorry," he bent down and picked her sword from the floor and gave it to her. She quickly collected the sword from him and left in a hurry. Jada looked at her back view and tried to remember her scent. "Queen Ophelia," he thought, and he went to the king's room.

King Hyman entered the room and was about to take off his royal attire when he saw the book Ophelia dropped on the table. Jada entered and bowed to the king. Jada saw the book on the table. "Your majesty, what's that?" he questioned.

"That's what my lady has been reading," King Hyman replied.

"But isn't she different from the Ophelia you married?" Jada looked confused.

King Hyman faced Jada. "Let's just say she's different, but she's still Ophelia," the king said.

"She just went out of the palace now," Jada informed the king.

"Pardon," King Hyman was shocked.

"Dressed casually, holding a sword," Jada explained further.

"Ophelia can't fight," the king was frightened.

Outside the Peace:

Queen Ophelia got to the market place and waited. A man wearing all black and a hat came to meet Queen Ophelia.

"What's the matter, ginger?" he questioned.

"Well, there's no record about Ophelia," she replied.

"What do you think?" he questioned.

"I'm short of words; what about you?" Queen Ophelia (omega) asked.

"I suspect that's not the original copy, or is this a trap?" the man asked.

"But there's no other copy of that book again, Queen Ophelia (omega) tried to remember.

The man wearing black passed a sheet of paper to Queen Ophelia: "Check for that in the library and get back to me as soon as possible."

"Send someone over. I can't be leaving the palace all the time; it's suspicious," Queen Ophelia said.

"I'll send someone, but be very careful," the man requested.

"Okay, I won't get caught," Queen Ophelia said and left in a hurry.

She can't let herself be the sacrificial lamb again.
