The emperor had a deadly smile resting on his lips after he made his decision.
The emperor's chambers
The empress sat on the bed sadly. Her lips were pale, she had dark circles under her eyes. She looked more like a nursing mother who could not breastfeed her baby because of pain. She looked very scared.
If I don't leave now, I'll be killed.
The empress changed her dress and took of all her jeweleries. She looked pale. She wore a black gown exposing her shoulders, she let her hair fell freely. Her eyelashes looked longer and fuller. She just a need a touch here and there from the maids to go back to her normal self.
She opened the big window and looked down.
I don't want to break a leg
But I want to leave this country
She jumped down from the window, the window is enough for her small body to escape. She landed in the garden. She sat on the grass for some time. She double checked herself to see if she's injured.
She looked around but the garden was dark. It was very dark, she covered her exposed arms. She looked around but could not see the door that'll lead outside.
I'm I still safe?
The Emperor entered his room and met it empty. Where's this little girl?
He checked the bathroom and her study. Strange!
Omega should have entered by this time, what could be the problem?
He went outside "where's the empress?" He asked the soldiers guiding his chambers. They looked surprised. "She did not step our of the room today, your imperial highness" one of the soldiers bowed. The emperor brought out his dagger and pointed it at the soldier that talked.
"Your imperial highness, please don't spare me o deserve to die" the soldier knelt down. If a servant should plead for death, it means a plea to survive and stay alive.
The Emperor walked away, he entered his library with Kyle and Leo closely behind him "check all the doors and everywhere in this palace" the emperor declared.
"Yes, your imperial highness" they both walked out of the study. The Emperor clecked his fist, his veins popped out.
Scholars shade:
Some stood close to the words on the tablet. Some sat on the floor supporting their head with their hands.
They're scholars the future leaders of this great country. They can't be kept and treated this way. It's not wrong to voice out their opinion.
The Emperor is a tyrant!!!
They sighed, if the emperor wants them to stay late, he would make a feast for them. But today is very different, they weren't offered even a cup of herbal tea. Not even ginger tea that most people hate.
"Thinking about it, I think we're wrong. How can we threaten the emperor? That's close to treason" one of the scholars argued.
"That is why we're here. The Emperor should be accountable to his people" the minster of war's son Mason said.
"The Emperor should not be accountable to the scholars" another scholar said truthfully. No emperor should be accountable to the scholars, they're only making a foolish assumption.
"No, the Emperor is arrogance and a tyrant" mason ranted. "How can the Emperor be accountable to us" one of the scholar said. He shook his head and sighed.
"Your father caused it" they blamed mason who only sighed quietly.
The Emperor is wrong.
"Your majesty" one of the scholars bowed. The others turned and bowed too. They shook in fear. The Emperor stood at the door with a deadly smile resting on his lips.
He looked at mason and smiled "Who's your father" he asked him directly.
"The minister of war is my father" mason replied without fear.
"How will your father feel if I send you with his soldiers to the border" the Emperor laughed. Mason stood without shivering.
I'll turn you against your father!
"I'm not scared of protecting my people" mason replied without fear, one of the scholars nudged him.
The Emperor entered the shade and took his seat. He looked at the word he sent to them.
"How can you protect your people when you don't know the meaning of this" the Emperor pointed at the word.
The scholars bowed their heads in shame. They really can't protect the country if they can't denote a word.
The Emperor smiled. "Gu..." He was interrupted by a young man. "A word meaning fake leader" he replied. The Emperor raised his head. The scholar bowed slowly.
"Are we here to joke?" One of the scholars mocked. "You can't be serious " another said. "Is this a joke to you" one asked.
"Fake leader" the Emperor looked at the young scholar who was still bowing. This word was sent to him as a letter so it means fake leader?
"Are you sure" the Emperor decides to make him go further. "Your imperial highness, you only asked for the meaning of the word and it has been said" mason interrupted.
Just like his father!
"I believe this noble man too wants to explain more" the Emperor had a smirk. Mason sighed, "I'm Reuben your imperial highness " the scholar introduced.
His ascent?
"Fake leader means there's an impersonator around. Might be a maid mostly Gu is sent out to make the person careful..."
So omega is here to hurt me?
"Gu can also mean turtle." He said.
Turtle?
"Anyone with hunch can be represented with the word turtle" Reuben explained.
Hunchback?
The Emperor himself looked so confused
Is omega sent to the palace to hurt him?
It can't T
