Third Person P.O.V

The Holy Orchid Institute was a place that nurtured the younger generation of Demonic Spiritualists and fighters in service to Glory City, a place that groomed them in various fields beyond cultivation, basic courses in inscriptions, alchemy, and so on were the norm in this place.

And now, shortly after classes had started, the students arrived at the classroom like every day, but, although it seemed like a normal day, today an extraordinary event had just happened.

In the class taught by Shen Xiu, a certain student had experienced an unimaginable event, something that even the most powerful cultivators would consider completely impossible.

Nie Li blinked a few times, confused by his current situation, but as someone who had lived for centuries, he could put his thoughts in order and come up with the answer to what was happening in a very short time.

'So I really have traveled back in time.' He stated after seeing all his classmates.

With this unlikely fact confirmed, he quickly decided on his next course of actions, he would ensure the survival of Glory City, destroy the Sacred Family along with the Dark Guild, and then the Sage Emperor would be the next.

All of that without forgetting the person who had stolen his heart during his first life, Ye Ziyun was one of the few reasons why he did not give up after the destruction of Glory City, and her memory was always what drove him throughout his journey.

And now, he had a second chance to do everything correctly, to make sure that she was happy by his side and that nothing and no one would hurt her again.

With his decision made, Nie Li waited for class to end to put his plan into motion, but the words of the teacher of this class, Shen Xiu, made his repudiation for the Sacred Family burn again like a big bonfire.

This woman, who did not know the vastness of the divine continent and would not even dream of the existence of something above the legend rank, was she looking down on these young students who had given their lives in the destruction of Glory City when her family fled with their tails between their legs?

Nie Li made his decision before speaking this wouldn't be revenge as such, but it would be a good start, a way to annoy the Sacred Family and start his second chance on a positive note.

With this thought in mind, Nie Li began his speech, accusing the teacher of being ignorant, comparing her to a frog locked in a well, and that she was a despicable person for trying to discourage those who, in her opinion, had no talent, all so that in the end they both agreed to make a bet where Shen Xiu would risk her position as a teacher and Nie Li his stay as a student.

With the bet made, Nie Li, along with those who supported him, ended up standing at the back of the classroom without caring about Shen Xiu's annoyed gaze, so, to respond to this lack of respect, she decided to announce the results of the soul force tests that all the students had taken the day before.

"So as the first place we have Ning'er, green soul with 189 POINTS?!" Shen Xiu seemed to not believe her own words, looking repeatedly from Ning'er to the papers she was holding, murmurs could be heard throughout the classroom where the words "genius" and "prodigy" were repeated many times.

Ye Ziyun looked incredulously at the one who was once her best friend, unable to believe how much she had advanced.

She herself had a cyan soul, so she should be more talented, but even so, with her 86 points she didn't even reach half of what Ning'er had.

Ye Ziyun worried a little in her heart for Ning'er, she knew of her situation, and although they were no longer friends, she hoped that she wasn't overexerting herself too much.

Nie Li, on the other hand, couldn't hide his surprise either, he was sure that he didn't remember each and every detail of his time in Glory City, but after his soul matured so much in his past life, his memory had become nothing short of prodigious, and he was completely sure that before the trials in 2 months, none of the students in this class had revealed themselves as a spiritualist who had reached the first star of the bronze rank, much less someone who was so close to the second star.

'Is this time different from the one I remember? I need to collect more information while the plan is being put into motion.' The time traveler thought.

Ning'er, for her part, heard the whispers and noticed the gazes of her classmates and her teacher and simply ignored them completely.

Of course, her family already knew the level of cultivation she had reached, but just like what had happened with them, she would not say anything to the members of her class either.

She would not say anything to anyone even if her life was at stake. After all, this was her secret, one she shared with the person who had become one of the most important and beloved people in her life.

Covering her mouth with her fist and coughing a few times, Shen Xiu regained some of her lost composure and named Ye Ziyun and her nephew Shen Yue as next on the list, with a soul force of 86 and 78 respectively, making sure to emphasize that both would surely reach the bronze rank very soon.

The rest of the school day passed in the blink of an eye, and without stopping for a second longer than necessary, Ning'er left the classroom and quickly headed back to her house, after all, today she would have a very important conversation with her father.

Nie Li, for his part, began his preparations, he had the knowledge and all the techniques to reach the top, bringing along his friends, who would be valuable and powerful allies in his crusade against the Dark Guild and the Sage Emperor, but none of that would come true if they didn't have the money and resources where he could apply all his knowledge.

Therefore, the first thing would be to make sure he got enough money to embarrass most noble families.

"Alright, Lu Piao, we need you to buy some crossbows and at least 500 arrows, I'll go with Du Ze to get the rest, we'll meet at the training camp, the solution to our financial problems is there!" The time traveler declared as his friends split up, ready and excited for the little adventure they were about to embark on.

Third Person P.O.V

"Father." Ning'er bowed her head as she greeted the patriarch of the Winged Dragon Family, the only one who had still interceded on her behalf and one of the few people in her family she held no resentment towards, Xiao Yun Feng, her father.

"Ning'er." The man waved back, waving his hand, signaling the guards who had opened the door for his daughter and those beside him to leave so the father and daughter could speak in private.

"I have news about what you asked me about." Yun Feng spoke in a more relaxed tone now that it was just him and Ning'er.

"Really?"

Listening to the girl's tone of voice and seeing her expression, Yun Feng couldn't help but feel a part of the weight in his heart lighten.

For a while, his daughter had become more and more distant, but recently it seemed that warmth had once again embraced her heart, and along with the unexpected blessing of a significant breakthrough in his cultivation.

Because of this, he was the first in the family to whom Ning'er revealed her new cultivation level, and along with this announcement, his daughter made a request to him, to speak to the elders he trusted the most, revealing her status to them and together they would delay her marriage to Shen Fei as long as possible.

Naturally, Yun Feng immediately agreed, he himself did not wish such a fate for his daughter, but until before this news, he had no way to persuade the other elders, his family was not at its best, and Ning'er's marriage to one of the sons of the Sacred Family would be a way to revitalize their status and political power.

But with this news, with his daughter reaching the first bronze star and being so close to the second even though she was so young, the greedy elders of their family would not allow such a genius to be taken by another family, someone who would undoubtedly reach the black gold rank or even perhaps the legend rank was an invaluable asset to any family, and with the progress shown so far, everything seemed to indicate that his daughter was that priceless treasure that the elders had been waiting for.

"The council meeting ended shortly before you returned, and the elders have declared that they will support you, but in exchange, they want to impose a test on you." He explained using a serious tone.

Ning'er nodded, ready to hear what kind of trick those nasty old men had in mind.

"You know that in two months there will be a test at the Holy Orchid Institute where both soul strength and physique will be measured, right?"

Ning'er nodded, after all, there had been a scandal in her class earlier today revolving around that very test.

"Well, that is the time the elders have given you, for 2 months they will support you as much as possible, they clearly will not go against the Sacred Family openly, but they will excuse you as best as possible to decrease interactions with Shen Fei and will not meddle in your affairs or cultivation, but in exchange, they want you to match the feat that Lord Ye Mo left behind during his time at the academy"

"That means..." Ning'er said with narrowed eyes as she recalled the achievement of the only Legend rank Demon Spiritualist in Glory City.

"Yes, they want you to show the rank of 3 bronze stars during that test, if you succeed, everyone has pledged to support the annulment of the marriage no matter the consequences"

'Of course they do, if I were to prove to be able to achieve the same as Lord Ye Mo, I would be telling them that it would be almost certain that I would reach the legend rank, and they would never hand someone like that over to another family.' Ning'er thought.

"Ning'er, I have to ask, and although your advancement was extraordinary, I want you to answer me with total sincerity, do you think you can achieve it?" Yun Feng asked the question, and without him noticing a bit of his own fear seeped into his words.

He really wanted to support his daughter, to the point where he himself accepted the terms that the elders imposed on him, that if his daughter failed, she would not only marry Shen Fei, but he would give up his title of patriarch, but he had not said such a thing to Ning'er so as not to put even more weight on her back.

'As a father, this is the only thing I can do for you, my daughter. I am truly sorry that I had to wait for this to act, but even if I must bet everything I have on you now, I will do it, I know that it will not make up for my shortcomings as a father, but if you ask me, I will trust you blindly.' The man thought as his eyes looked directly into his daughter's.

Ning'er, for her part, never lowered her gaze, she was firmer than ever in her decision, so she answered with all the confidence she could muster. "Father, no matter what, I will reach 3 stars before the next test"

Xiao Yun Feng saw the resolution in his daughter's eyes and couldn't help but feel proud of her, if she really believed in herself to achieve it, his role was to place all his hopes on her. "Very well, then I will speak to the elders to inform them of the closing of the agreement, if there is something you think this foolish father of yours can help you with, do not hesitate to tell me, I wish you nothing but all the luck in the world, daughter"

Xiao Ning'er smiled a little and nodded, she was confident that she would meet the condition that the elders had set for her, after all, she had him on her side, and when she was by his side, she felt that nothing was impossible.

"Besides that, I was looking through the family library, it was a bit difficult to find, but there was something that matched what you were looking for." The man said, moving on to another equally important topic.

Ning'er returned to her serious state, ready to hear what could be vital information for her regarding her cultivation.
