Third Person P.O.V

The elbow that was aimed at her face was stopped when her palm caught it, but likewise, her fist, which was intended to hit the solar plexus of the person in front of her was stopped by Leek.

With a few scratches on their skin, but a big smile on their faces, both, Ning'er and Leek separated and jumped back a few meters as they resumed their stances.

They both stood still for a few seconds before abandoning their fighting stances, sighing satisfied, and walking calmly toward each other.

"That was fun, today I have also learned and improved thanks to you." Leek said, feeling like he was slowly creating his own fighting style.

He was not a martial artist like the members of the Son family, and although he felt that he could fight instinctively, he wanted to refine the way he fought as much as possible.

"Thanks to you too, I don't remember when was the last time I really enjoyed training." Ning'er said, after all, she always saw training and becoming strong as a means to an end, all so she could be free, but since she met Leek and saw him so enthusiastic about training and becoming strong, she began to see getting stronger from a new perspective.

She didn't love training as much as he did, and seriously doubted she ever would, but now it didn't feel like an obligation so much, now she saw it as an entertaining way to spend time with someone she cared about a lot.

"That's good, training should be something one does of one's own free will, that way there will always be better results, now that we're done with this we can focus on what you asked me about your cultivation, I've been thinking about it since yesterday and I had an interesting idea that might help you"

Ning'er nodded excitedly and the ring on her hand shone before some papers appeared in her hand. "Before that, I'd like to try out these techniques, my father gave them to me and perhaps one of these will fit me better, that way I won't have to worry about another problem similar to the one I suffered from before"

"Oh right, you told me that your father found out what the problem was with your previous technique, right?" Leek asked a little interested.

Ning'er nodded. "Yes, the translations they found in my family's library aren't very accurate, but from the little they could understand it seems that what happened to me was because I trained at night or because of the lunar energy, they're not quite sure, but so that I don't have problems again they told me to stop training at night"

"The moon huh?" Leek looked at the sky, directly at the satellite of this planet that at this moment was shaped like a crescent moon. "Who would have thought that we would both have problems with the moon." He said in a whisper.

But even though Leek spoke to himself, Ning'er managed to hear him. "What?" She asked, did the one who had saved her also suffer from similar problems to her?

"Don't worry, it's just a part of me that I still have to train, after all, I'm still just a small fish in the huge pond that is the world." He answered without going into details. "Well, since you want to try out those techniques I promise to concentrate as best as possible to detect any problems similar to the one you suffered before"

"Thank you." Ning'er smiled a little shyly before raising an arm in Leek's direction. "We have to hold hands right?" She asked with a healthy blush on her cheeks.

"Yes, I'm still training my energy control, so it might take me a little longer to be able to do it without physical contact." He apologized for making her feel embarrassed.

"It doesn't bother me, it's actually very comfortable to do it like this." She said in a very low whisper, so low that Leek couldn't hear her.

With that said, their hands joined together with their fingers intertwined and they both sat down in the open field.

Ning'er took a few breaths to calm her blush and then looked at the first paper to memorize the chant.

"I'll begin." She said, receiving a nod from Leek before closing her eyes and beginning.

In this way, time passed as Ning'er tried one by one the techniques that her father had given her, and in the end, she ended up choosing the second best of all, this because when she used the first one Leek told her that her energy felt unstable, as if the energy that was entering her body was doing so too violently.

Now that she had a new technique, she used her soul force and destroyed all the scrolls and was ready to practice, but before doing so Leek explained to her that the idea he had could be mixed with her new cultivation technique, so she listened carefully to his words.

"Since the first time you absorbed my energy I was thinking about this, since you-" Interrupting his words, a new voice sounded from the forest next to the clearing where they were.

"Little brother Leek, I ran away from home just to come visit you, where are you?" The female voice sounded closer and closer until a pink-haired figure emerged from the forest.

"Little brother Leek, your older sister Lanruo came to pamper you a lot today." The girl said as she entered the clearing with a basket similar to the one Ning'er had brought when she arrived, but when Lanruo saw the person she was looking for next to a girl her smile froze and her eyes widened in surprise.

A Few Days Ago

Huyan Xiong didn't know how to feel, no, scratch that, he knew very well what he felt, what he didn't know was if it was right or not, after all, he had just had a fight with a 15-year-old and he was incredibly satisfied and happy to have had this fight.

This child was a warrior, there was no other way to define it, when he made his request, he felt that this was a joke, but then he said that for Saiyans, fighting was more than just trying to exchange blows and beat the opponent.

What Leek wanted was to understand the strength of a black gold rank and to finish understanding the man who had saved his life, for that reason he wanted to fight him.

Huyan Xiong had seen all kinds of people throughout his life, and when he looked into the child's eyes, he knew that this kid was completely serious, so, to answer such a sincere request, was there any other answer than an affirmative one?

His daughter seemed to think so, telling him that fighting such a young boy would be too much, but he knew better, this was no child, no one who faced death the way he did when he saw him in that forest could be called a child, this was a request from one warrior to another.

And boy was he surprised, the boy never had a chance, that was clear, but he had never seen anyone's fighting spirit burn so much before.

He had estimated Leek's strength close to a maximum silver rank or a one-star gold rank, so he decided to attack at that level, how wrong he was, he blocked a kick that was going to his face, and the force behind the blow made him understand, the power of that blow could only have been given by someone with the strength of a 3-star gold spiritualist.

He decided to take this more seriously and although he cornered Leek with pure raw power and a huge gap in experience, but as the fight lasted longer, he realized something, this boy was learning from him, his blows were evaded, or deflected with less and less effort.

Leek still gritted his teeth and gave his all to keep fighting, but Huyan Xiong would have to be blind not to notice in a crude way the fighting style of his family, and it was not only that!

'This kid… is learning and adapting to my fighting style?!' Patriarch Huyan's eyes filled with shock, this was beyond a mere genius!

Learning a new fighting style in a short amount of time was one thing, but doing so while fighting and developing a counteroffensive after a few exchanges was nothing short of unheard of.

Huyan Xion still had the advantage, in Glory City the Huyans were known as hot-blooded people, a characteristic that was reflected in the behavior of most of the family members, which fit perfectly with his family's fighting style, direct and crushing, tough and durable, attacking with enough power to crush their opponents and with a defense that would withstand devastating blows.

A downward kick aimed at the patriarch's jaw was blocked by his forearm, and without wasting time, the burly man raised his leg, ready to deliver a powerful axe kick that would have ended the fight.

But before it connected, Leek screamed, and a kind of pressure came out of his body, as if an explosion had occurred with him as the center.

Huyan Xion was taken aback, and although he was not pushed back, due to his position, he almost lost his balance, although he recovered a second later, however, that second of carelessness was what Leek was looking for, clenching his fist and jumping towards the man.

But he wasn't the only one with tricks, the patriarch smiled, looking at the fist aimed at his face.

'I can learn too, kid.' He thought before doing the same thing Leek had just done, letting his soul force explode outwards and creating a gust that not only stopped Leek's attack but unlike him, the kid ended up losing his balance and rolling backward.

Leek regained his balance and control of his movement, jumping and landing on his feet, his arms and torso aching, the blows he had blocked and received were taking their toll on his body's mobility, he couldn't endure another exchange like the last one, he was sure that the ki expulsion trick wouldn't save him again, and his stamina was also beginning to falter, so he made a decision, one last clash with everything he had.

"AAAHHH!" He shouted, clenching his fists, and his ki answered his call, waves of energy dancing furiously around him, raising his hair even more.

"Hahaha." The patriarch laughed amused, if 15 days ago he had seen a young man display such power, he would have felt incredulous, but after seeing all the crazy things Leek had done since they met, he couldn't help but laugh.

Now he definitely had to convince Ye Zong to let Leek stay and integrate into a family or form his own, considering that he said he was a little better than the average of the people in his tribe, it was obvious that the strength came largely from his lineage, so adding him to Glory City would be an incredible blessing.

"It seems you still have strength left, are you going to continue surprising me?" The man asked, letting the boy prepare himself.

"This is all I have! I know it may sound presumptuous of me, but please don't look down on me, and show me your true strength!" He shouted, looking directly at him, without a hint of fear.

"Very well boy, you have earned that right!" The man replied before beginning his transformation, integrating into his demonic spirit.

In the background, Huyan Xion heard his daughter scream. "Father?!" With surprise and disbelief in her voice, but he didn't answer her, the boy had asked for the best of him, and although he would make sure not to kill him, he was going to show him the power of a black gold rank demonic spiritualist.

Marble-white horns sprouted from his forehead, his muscles bulged, and his tanned skin was covered in short, dark-gold fur, Patriarch Huyan had integrated with his white-horned sacred ox.

And without another word, the two of them rushed towards each other for the final clash.
