The Hangover Part 3 was one of the most anticipated movies this year. Together with The Lord of The Rings: The Two Towers, Harry Potter and the Chambers of Secrets, Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of The Clones, and John Carter.
So far, only Star Wars Episode 2 and John Carter have been released.
Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones did great at the box office. On June 6, the movie already grossed more than $241 million. Currently, the highest-grossing movie that was released this year.
As for John Carter, erm, it was terrible. The movie only made $68 million at the box office. Furthermore, the movie might be pulled out of theaters only after a month of release because the ticket sales of the movie were so minuscule. The movie was only released for 40 days and it only had 300 theaters remaining.
A bad move, that was what Walt Disney did this year. The executives and the shareholders blamed Michael Eisner of course. Even though all of them had initially agreed with this project. Well, they got to blame someone, and Chairman Eisner was the best scapegoat.
While Walt Disney was busy trying to band-aid the huge wound they currently have, Warner Bros started the premier for one of their biggest investment this year.
Their huge investments this year were Harry Potter and the Chambers Of Secrets and The Hangover Part 3. Advertising the movies almost everywhere just like what Walt Disney did.
However, the confidence of Warner Bros in their movies was better than Walt Disney. And honestly, the qualities of movies that Warner Bros produced were far better than Walt Disney's around this era.
Harry Potter and the Chambers of Secrets was based on a novel while The Hangover Part 3 was written by award-winning scriptwriter Kazir Grey.
Yup, Kazir won the Academy's Best Screenplay with Taken. With that, Warner Bros knew that The Hangover Part 3 wouldn't suffer the same treatment that John Carter experienced.
They were 80% sure.
Kazir was fiddling with his Nokia phone, waiting for Angelina's response but the woman never really answered. They were having a cold war and Kazir knew that the relationship might be over.
The start of the problem was when Angelina made Kirsten cry. Kazir subconsciously stepped away from Angelina after that. This situation kept going until Kazir went to Canada. They stopped talking after that.
'... No time to think about this.'
Kazir thought as he realized that the limousine stopped in front of the Westwood Village theater. The theater where The Hangover Part 3 would have its premiere.
Kazir smiled as he left the limousine. Having cameos in all of CCU movies, Kazir was already recognized as an "actor". People already knew him and recognized him.
So when he showed up on the red carpet, people immediately started calling and cheering his name. There were even some female fans who screamed his name like fanatics. Well, Kazir was a handsome guy so it was obvious why.
Kazir just spent a few minutes on the red carpet before entering the theater. He didn't bother talking to the reporter because his mood was not that good. The fact that he could smile right now was amazing. Perhaps being an actor could suit him if not for his love for filming and creating movies.
When he entered the theaters, he saw the cast, some sitting, some talking to people. These actors changed their future because of this franchise. Now, most of them had promising careers and got yearly projects with a $1 million salary at least.
Out of all of them, Reese had the best career at the moment. Legally Blonde made her a superstar, earning more than $5 million per movie.
'The fact that The Hangover and The Hangover Part 2 are within the top 10 highest-grossing R-rated movies of all time speaks volumes.'
The Hangover Part 2 sat at number 1 with $586 million.
Second was Gladiator(2000) with $503 million.
Third was The Hangover, with $502 million.
The fourth was Saving Private Ryan with $486 million.
Fifth, with a slightly lower box office, was The Matrix, with $465.37 million.
Around 1996, The Hangover was the highest-grossing R-rated movie but new movies were released in a few years. Now, The Hangover was only third.
Still, The Hangover Part 2 was standing at the top... Although Kazir knew that once The Matrix Reload was released, a new movie would be crowned as the highest R-rated grossing movie of all time.
The Matrix Reload would be released next year, so the reigning of The Hangover Part 2 would not last any longer.
The cast of The Hangover Part 3 saw Kazir entering the theater and some of them greeted him.
After all, it was a fact that Kazir gave them careers. They were not unknown actors anymore, they were bonafide celebrities.
Kazir greeted them back. They were happy to see them again after so many years. Kazir was not a party-type and he rarely went out.
"Enzo, looks like you're also doing well."
"Haha, just doing alright."
Enzo' Park and Kazir were both clients of Salvatore. However, their position was different.
Even though Enzo became famous as Raizo in CCU, he still hasn't received any leading role. All of his roles were supporting roles.
"Don't worry, your moment will come. When I started working as a director, I didn't have much success either. Just work hard and you'll achieve your dream."
... Knowing that Kazir returned from the future, he was basically lying. Hard work was not enough to be successful.
Still, Enzo accepted his advice. It was not wrong anyway. Actually, he was hoping to hear from Kazir that the movie he promised would happen. The movie was about Raizo as the leading male and it was about him being a ninja.
