Ninja Assassin was a movie that Kazir intended to add to the CCU. The Cinematic Universe already had a tiny bit of supernatural in it since The Fraternity was added and adding another group of assassins who could 'merge' in the darkness seemed not that bad.
Enzo Park heard a few regarding the plot of the movie but he was still clueless about the overall plot. However, he was excited.
Kazir promised him and Salvatore that he would directly film the movie. He would be the director. That alone was strong assurance. Meaning that the movie has a very slim chance of flopping.
Enzo tried his best to audition to many movies but the racism in Hollywood was still strong. His appearance was the reason why he couldn't get a great role, most were supporting characters.
He actually auditioned for The Matrix back in 1998 but Keanu Reeves got the role because he was more famous. Actually, Keanu is of Asian descent but his facial appearance passed the American aesthetic. Enzo also tried to get a role in Rush Hour, but the outcome was the same. Jackie Chan was more famous than him.
In a way, Enzo was still hanging out there. Trying to find his place in this industry... Perhaps he might focus more on comedy if he failed.
The Korean actor stared at Kazir, waiting for his response.
Kazir was not stupid and understood the guy. He tapped his shoulder and said.
"Don't worry, as much as possible, I always keep my promise and make sure to never break it."
Hearing his response, Enzo sighed and felt like he could breathe easily now. Even though Kazir didn't say when, he already said that he would do his best to keep his promise.
Enzo could not ask for more because he knew that the director was busy. Enzo thanked him again before leaving.
The other cast of The Hangover Part 3 greeted Kazir. They might be famous but Kazir Grey was a true superstar. Or to be precise, he was a superstar maker.
Kazir was the only director who filmed two movies that surpassed $1 billion. And he did it back to back in two years.
He was amazing and no one could probably do what he did. Ed Helms, Jack Black, and Bradley Cooper greeted him with good evening.
Kazir saw Reese in the corner of his vision, sitting a few meters away from where he was. The woman turned to him and smiled, Kazir also smiled back and their interaction ended with that.
The two were already over and this was the right thing to do. Reese already had a boyfriend and it would be scandalous to talk to another man, especially if the guy was her ex-boyfriend... They didn't announce it officially though.
Kazir found his seat, which was in the front row of the theater. Next to him was the current Chairman/CEO of Warner Bros, Barry Mayer.
Terry Semel already left Warner Bros and hopped on to Yahoo. He resigned last month and his term ended amicably.
The shuffle of authorities and politics inside the company was ongoing but so far Barry Mayer was doing well.
On top of that, Time Warner also hired a COO(Chief Operating Officer) to help Barry Mayer execute orders in the studio. His name is Alan Frederick Horn.
By the way, just as people expected, Barry Mayer was Jewish. People had another reason to hate this novel, let's go!
Because Barry Mayer and Kazir had the same race, the Chairman had a good impression of Kazir and was sincere in working with him... The major reason was because of Kazir's capabilities to make a blockbuster. A mega-hit movie. Something that could provide them with profits in decades...
So Warner Bros wanted to buy Grey Pictures or at least a portion of it. At first Time Warner, the parent company of Warner Bros was interested in acquiring AOL but a whopping $100 billion was too big for them to shoulder. Besides, it was obvious that AOL was inflated and its real value was 10× lower than $100 billion.
So instead of doing that, how about acquiring a small company that had a promising future, such as Grey Pictures? Warner Bros could buy the overall shares of Grey Pictures for $10 billion. Although they would suffer for a few years if they did that. Besides, Kazir would definitely not agree.
If Grey Pictures was completely sold to Warner Bros, then Kazir might leave the complete altogether. That would be detrimental, the real value of Grey Pictures was Kazir himself.
"Kazir, I assure you that this movie will be a big hit," Barry said to Kazir who was sitting next to him.
So far, the acquisition job was ongoing and J.P. Morgan was researching the real value of Grey Pictures and its sectors. They have to understand how the company works and how it would affect both companies.
Warner Bros had no intention of merging, they wanted Grey Pictures to have autonomy and keep making profitable movies. That was the plan.
The two talked a bit before the theater turned dark as the premier officially started. The logo of Warner Bros, which was WB inside an upside-down triangle.
On June 6, 2002, at midnight, The Hangover Part 3, started. This would be the last movie of the franchise since The Hangover was only intended to be a trilogy... However, if the timing was right, perhaps Warner Bros could revive the franchise after a decade to make another batch of money.
As long as the movie was profitable, the Big Six would milk it dry. Just like what Walt Disney did to Star Wars...
In the first 24 hours(June 7) of its release, The Hangover Part 3 already made $11.78 million at the box office. Not a bad start for a R-rated comedy movie.
On June 8, the movie made another $14.49 million... The numbers just keep stacking up.
If there was a downfall, it would be the fact that the production cost of The Hangover Part 3 was more than $100 million. Hiring the cast was so expensive. One of the reasons why Warner Bros wanted to end the franchise in a trilogy.
